  12. benchmarks are always welcome. They offer tangible evidence.
  13. you can turn off the bark... I suggested they seperate the wav file from the exe, so the user can easily choose a sound, still waiting on an update though. I still use this, because its light and does the job. It does appear susceptible to dll injection and launchers, meaning another program could trick Winpooch to allow it to connect to the internet, by calling Internet Explorer, that is if you have Internet Explorer on your computer and allow it to connect.

  16. i doubt that your hard drive has anything to do with it. What SATA/RAID controller, or motherboard, do you have? you may want to ask Acronis support directly, because it may not have support for your hardware yet.
  17. Wait I am confused LLXX, BitComet runs on Unix? btw I found his torrent: http://www.mininova.org/tor/330583
  18. I saw screenshots of a new Trillian version coming out soon. Gaim is up to v2.0 beta3 now which was released March 29, 2006. Can't beat the portable version imo.
  19. I was unaware of this feature, btw XnView also has it [File>Acquire Into>Save as Multipage (TIFF)]:
  20. Jeremy I have a question for you: why are you still using BitComet when there is µTorrent? Is it some feature missing or other problem you had with µTorrent? µTorrent also has a built in torrent creator and it works well imo.
  21. Macromedia Flash?
  22. I don't understand why you're converting jpeg to tiff (lossy to lossless). Also just renaming a jpeg to tiff accomplishes nothing; why does it have to be tiff? According to Kodak's website your scanner can directly output to tiff. It also only lists 3 output formats, so something is false here. As for renaming files, use a program like Ant Renamer or ReNamer.
  23. sounds like you did everything right. If your torrent is not infringing on any copyright or license I could check it out for you.
