  1. am I the only one who thinks .net became uber huge bloat ? It basicaly exceeds XP setup size
  2. I have increased in registry size for icon cache db to 2 MB but I see that it grew beyond that the Admin (default account) - which I don't use, has db of 2.6 MB and my account has 8.2 MB size is this.. bug or normal ? I'm not experiencing any Icon corruption yet but shouldn't reg setting limit its size ?
  3. Asian languages could been removed (yes i know you wrote untouched), they take space also all folders except i386 removed (which ordinary user won't notice unless browsing CD) remove about 90MB I've made for myself also XP SP3 + all updates till 2011 untouched, and its also ~600 MB maybe little less so its not something mystical
  4. lol who even wants to use that piece of crap anyway... as for XP support, yes the official one stops in 2014, which doesn't mean people will gonna drop using this OS the very same day MS stops patching it... but the way MS goes with winblows... I think i'll switch on Linux later as anything post Server2003 is just crap an excuse to buy expencive rig's just to be capable of running their fancy OS in which user has absolutely NO control over it
  5. ok I will finaly be ready tonight to start with this "project" but I must ask some hotfixes still come with older number but with "v2" so as I understand they were updated recently but still hold old numbering so what happens when I start integrating them and I get KB103 (old, year 2009) KB104 (old, year 2009) KB106-v2 (updated in year 2010) KB109(old, year 2009) do these hotfixes do some checks on integrated file versions or their time compiled because with this sequence logicaly I would overwrite later an updated hotfix with older one that has higher number (under condition that there are few hotfixes that do patch same files) ?
  6. thanks guys managed to filter out unecessery ones

(i.e. C:\iso\windows)
