problem with copying IE 10 files over IE 8 (or whichever) is that you lose all buttons and menu's with it all you get is "fullscreen" app which is quite useless if you ask me

if you mean blue line on your borders, yes on vista that is normal the ms team wanted to express "glass" look/cut with that it is also found in Alpha versions of Vista (Longhorn), tho they contain green lines and not blue while win "7" has that removed since I guess it annoyed people too much

I'd be confused too simple logic I turn on PC, I get greeted by this screen of squares (tiles) I click on one of them it either drops me into another confusing flat area or desktop without any icons and menus so while I try to find minimize or X button or start menu or ANYTHING I also stumble upon various sidebars popping out when i come with mouse in certain screen edges and those bars provide some more confusing "functionality" screw that

you could probably try to take explorer.exe from windows 7 alpha build 6469, as this was earliest build leaked which explorer.exe used Vista file manager shell you would have to change its version with PE Explorer and imagecfg if Vista is to even accept it not sure if such early build had these features of snap's and shake's though and you would most probably either get random error messages because of win 7 superbar integrated init to which vista has no calls of it, your skin would probably messed up too since values for skin segments were changed and some added for new superbar or OS would simply refuse to even start up explorer at all (test it in Virtual Machine is safest way to see) but as people told above, better to use tested and safe method of 3rd party app than messing around like this

well Adobe Audition (in my case v1.5) does it but in past I did encounter some more apps doing the same

the only and only thing I like 8 will have and both 7/vista lack is DWM in non DWM compliant apps, as they turn off DWM then and spit user out in Basic (XP) theme engine where we lose the functionality of mainly important taskbar which is frustrating if you work in just 1 program that disables all that and you still use OS for other things (sorry if I intruded this topic btw)

I actually had more problems on SP0 SP1 addressed some issues (atleast it seems so) but I didn't patch the RTM but format and installed "7" with integrated SP1 (btw I don't use win update, I'm sceptic about their patches fuxing up everything)
