  1. I loved older MBAM but AFAIK you don't get updates with old versions as they force you to upgrade
  2. I was always hoping for OSX to get "PC", even more so when they announced it will run on Intel and I would gladly replace winblows with OSX even if I never used it when I saw what Leopard/Snow Leo brings I was amaized they literaly (or whatever its spelled) crushed and went ahead winblows by 10 years at that point yes i know about iPC or whatever those hackable ports were, but they are unreliable and driver support is way too limited
  3. see thats the problem me as win user, and I bet 99% of them like me know s*** about these Linux shells gnome, kde, some xfce and dunno how many are there and what are they wikipedia only gives their names but not what they represent even worse, some distros have 3 or 4 of them - WTF so how the hell can we know anything unless theres an app that provides some sort of relink to such sites
  4. few possible problems 1. 64bit OS requires digital certificate on changed system file 2. system file protection simply reverses your changes on .dll 3. you only changed resources on 1 (main) file, and not on backup too which is located somewhere in winsxs folder (use Ultra Search from JAM software to find it, its free and no spyware) 4. you don't have granted FULL permitions to change the file ? usually its best to do these things manual on COPY of file for example if you are editing explorer.exe or ieframe.dll copy those files to another folder, make changes 1. either boot to PE and replace them (including backup files) 2. change your things before OS install directly inserting into .WIM
  5. does zorin comes with some nice skins coz all this metro flat crap makes me vomit
  6. i tried to find a way to do it via cmd but all I found is for higher versions with this command: FORFILES /P %WINDIR%\servicing\Packages /M Microsoft-Windows-InternetExplorer-*8.*.mum /c "cmd /c echo Uninstalling package @fname && start /w pkgmgr /up:@fname /quiet /norestart"but even if cmd shows sucess, after reboot, IE is still there nothing changes... is there alternate way via CMD ?
  7. so its another taken product ahahah epic
  8. I'm all for blocking IE totally did it in past for all lesser than v9 but today some pages are so freaking retarded that if you have for example 1 version less of firefox for example if latest is 35 and you have 34, they automaticly block you out until you "upgrade" I mean c'mon idiots... who writes such scripts...
  9. dunno why companies even install that untested garbage
  10. IIRC in "about" dialog it says 1993 so it had to come somewhen between 3.x and 4 at least on XP it was like that
  11. since I'm moding my own win7 for home use some files seem to need valid certificate or else installation breaks (since its moded ) but doing google, sure i find easy tool by comodo (kSign) but every tutorial i stumble upon doesn't show how to get certificate or PFX out of your own OS and NO, i am NOT interested in downloading half gig of winSDK for some test mode cert so as title says how can I yank out MS certificate from own system files and re-use it ?
  12. fast or not FAT32 can't have file bigger than 4 GB so if you're into HD movies, or games, you're shit out of luck with FAT32
  13. IE gives you shell parts you can't remove it without breaking system no IE = no Icons, no various functions within explorer, no task pane's and who knows what else
  14. wrong again we are talking about NT 9x don't come into play as they sucked even more and NT one hasn't changed since NT 4
  15. ahh crappy indexer could be
  16. too much hassle haha 7-zip beats it
  17. small heads-up new 7-zip v15 (beta) handles .WIM waaaay better and waaay easier than wintoolkit
  18. err why should you even use more than 1 defragger .... ? windows one hasn't changed since 90ies = sucks
  19. ah my bad I thought he meant the picture of task pane
  20. from time to time I experience the symptoms Vista had takes minutes for OS (sp1) to "discover" and "calculate" its freaking annoying, how to force OS to just delete the freaking files/folders ? even 1 file of less than 10 MB it calculates and postpones....
  21. science is best that happened to world would you rather still be burned on fire for having mold on shoulder ? would you still rather believe its "god's wrath" when there is bad weather or you're glad to know its just natural phenomena ?
  22. thats only software block as long as you have hardware that is compliant to 12 and foundation that it can run on (NT 6) it could be "hackable", but doubt people will waste time on it as there are probably too many checks via milcore, kernel, user32, dwm, and who knows what else ...
  23. lols... you might as well jump to 7x64
  24. maybe the statement "this is the last Windows" is true nobody will want next version ahahah
