I personlly have done this and works fine. Heres a post that i posted on another forum. http://bink.nu/forums/11381/ShowPost.aspx my name there is Replicant (my other online alias). You can follow those same steps using Service Pack 2 and it will work fine. Thanks to Alanoll for the XP Ident Files, use this to find out which files you will need. http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?s=&sho...ndpost&p=156691 so for Windows XP Home (Which i'm guessing Since its an OEM Copy) use the files.. WIN51, WIN51IC, WIN51IC.SP1/2 (Depending on which Service Pack came pre-slipstreamed)... Then slipstream SP1 or SP2 into that directory and it'll make the setup.exe, and modify any of the other files needed. If its Service Pack 1 originally you can make slipstream Service Pack 1 or 2 into it.. if it was originally Service Pack 2, i'm 95% sure you can only slipstream it with Service Pack 2. Hope this helps you, It may or may not work depending on how much the OEM Company screwed with the files. as for the Borrowing CD thing, when you buy Windows, you're buying the Serial Number, so i doubt Microsoft or anyone else would have a problem with it.. it'd be like me getting a Shareware copy of a program, and then sending it to you.. nobody would care so long as the serial number i used was only used in my copy. but thats just my opinion, don't take my word on it or go infront of a judge saying "Bi0haZarD said....".. lolz

I don't charge anything, mainly cause its all family members, and most of the time its during some sort of holiday... i figure, hell i'm eating for free, they brought soda, food, movies, etc.. i can do somethin for them for free. if it was a total stranger i'd charge about $10 an hour, subject to vary depending on what type of virus/spyware had to be removed.. or i'd lower my cost if i find it necessary to do a full system format..

/agree lost me with the doorknob.. especially since a good majority of people don't wash their hands after using the bathroom. had a biology experiment my sophmore year of highschool, we checked 10 random items and used Agar to show the results. (bacteria grows on the agar and shows things like this the clusters are bacteria colonys forming) in a class of 30 we all had the same 10 to accumulate for a margin of error. I remeber some of the top ones were (in order from most to least): 1. Shopping Carts (Handle) 2. Bathroom Doorknob (how shopping carts beat this i have no idea lol) 3. Computer Keyboard (how often do you wash your keyboard with soap and water? lol) 4. Food tray from a fast food place (really disgusting considering people eat off them all the time) can't remeber the rest right now.

it's some sort of commercial so no its not real lol. what would make this worse is if there was a nametag on the person like he was a chef, or soemone workin at mcdonalds. *and now i remeber why i hate eating at fast food places... i hate other people touchin my food... i'm gonna go throw up now.*

you mean MySQL? http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=Mysql...G=Google+Search its pretty much a database application especially used for web forums and stuff like that. since i don't know completly what Microsoft Project Server is, i can't really say if you need it or not... it is needed from what i briefly read from google.

anyone know anything about this, i did this on my Windows XP Home and it works perfect, I'm the only user on my comp but just like having features that i'm "not supposed to" have. worked flawlessly, but was thinking about lookin more into it or see if i can make it unattended lol.. also need to make sure it doesn't screw up anything else.. so i guess my live system is more of a test system lol.

i'm pretty sure they said that for a reason.. and i'm pretty sure they don't want you modifying with any system files either.. is this a highschool or a college? also.. is it a standard login? or is there somesort of 3rd party program that you have to login to before you can access windows?

I used the classic look about 6 months into windows XP.. mainly cause i didn't like the blue one that came (didn't even see the olive and silver ones..) then used the silver one and kept changing the "caption buttons" from 25 to 20 (making the titlebar and minimize maximize and close buttons smaller. found out about the uxtheme.dll patcher from the monthly desktop shots section of this forum.. and haven't gone back since. I just prefer the "new" look to it.. and have even got questions from relatives to where they could get the visual styles i use. its more of a performance thing for me.. if your comp is ancient then turn it off.. if your comp is semi-new or somewhat old then i keep it on.. unless it slows down my games. even with the theme service off i don't notice any diffrence in any of the games i play.. 1.9 ghz 1 gig of memory...

lolz.. are you this guy: http://www.dewknight.com/dewroom.php hah i really wanna do that to my room someday -
he could be trying to make a HTML document that shows up after an unattended installtion that has a bunch of Icons and a description of the program.. then when the user clicks on it, it installs the program... dunno though... I doubt you could get this to work, or i think we would see a bunch of sites exploiting this making 20,000 copies of calculator start.. lol. from my knowledge, besides being a HUGE security risk, you might be able to edit the registry to always run .exe files insted of trying to download them.. then at the end when the user presses exit or soemthing.. to make it change this registry setting back to default.. my opinion.. if you want a user to be able to pick which programs to install.. use WPI.. its very good Windows Post-Install Wizard (WPI)

awesome find lol. I especially love the disclaimer "Don’t try this at home. If you actually try this and end up dying after only 140 drinks instead of 143, it’s not my fault." -
