as stated here, we cannot help you as this is warez.. but i'm sure it coule be done with enough effort. secondly, i would advise changing your avatar, its 576Kb in size and for people with dialup that would take about 5 minutes to load...

I don't believe its a simple change of text from Home to Professional... from the txtsetup on everything Home is now Professional... even the setup propaganda says its pro lol!.. hell i was really shocked when i saw the Windows XP Professional Boot screen.. not sure about the kernel though, as for number of processors it supports and so on (XP Home allows 1... XP Pro allows 2) but all the security tabs, sharing tabs, encrypted file system, and everything else i'm missing out on in xp home is there and workin lol.. only down side i've seen so far is theres no gpedit and secpol... but with the right knowledge that was no problem.. made a batch file to expand the necessary files and regsvr them, to enable gpedit and secpol.msc.

ok, i recently found this trick on a friends blog, and searched here on MSFN.. it has came up in the news here on msfn and was wondering if anyone has done this.. MSFN News Article now... i decided to try this on my VMWare workstation with no networking options enabled.. (as to not send out any info..) and it did work to my surprise... Now i do not support software piracy, and i will not use this on a live computer, but was wondering if anyone has taken this further and tried doing stuff like windows updates and other stuff.

Why can't Windows Text Setup be changed from Blue?
Synapse replied to JASpurrier3's topic in Customizing Windows
got the color blue from a screenshot, the hex color is 00 00 AA (R:00 G:00 B: 170) did a search in the winnt.exe for Hex 0000AA and no result.. did a search in ntdll.dll and got too many, so if the color was more unique i could get it. unless i remade an iso and checked it about 50 times i don't know of a way to find this.. and with no garuntee that the ntdll.dll is even the file that has to be modified. -
na, just used default settings and made it. I'm using Photoshop 7 by the way.. and interlace is set to "none"

Loading XPlode from cmdlines.txt
Synapse replied to Jeroeneke's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
yea i hear that. although, i'm thinkin about just using the runonceex method again, i'm getting all confused using XPLode lol. -
look into the desktop.ini file.. that will show you how to customize your icons.. it'd just be a matter of copying over a bunch of desktop.ini files..
-
probably not the best looking solution, but you might be able to get the text that the user enters in a command prompt and change the password to that.. such as.. a command prompt that pops up with Enter New Administrator Password: however.. it would be in clear text, and woudln't be able to check itself against password rules.... like having spaces, min length.. i'm sure someone with vbs scripting knowledge would be able to make this.. using an inputbox.

read into OEMLOGO.BMP with google. heres a site i found real quick http://www.beemerworld.com/tips/systemproperties.htm

i suggest, making a BArtPE cd with the UBCD4WIN plugins.. using another computer... then try booting that and sharing that hard drive.. from another computer make backups of everythign, cause sounds like either your harddrive is about to die... or has already died. once you backup everything you want to keep try running some of the hard drive utitilties to fix it.. BartPE UBCD4WIN

its because of the bit depth diffrence.. I made a background very similar to yours by doing the following.. 1. Start up Photoshop 2. New Image 3. Size 420 Width & 410 Height 4. Made the gradient 5. File -> Save as 6. PNG named it gfxinstall.png 7. put it in my XPLode\images folder only diffrence between yours and mine, jeroen is the bit diffrences.. the original one is 32 bit, mine is 32 bit, and yours is 24 bit.. heres mine.. gotta rename it from gfxinstall1zm.png to gfxinstall.png

Loading XPlode from cmdlines.txt
Synapse replied to Jeroeneke's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
only suggestion is to install with my method then.. won't get any log files though. and have XPLode directly inside your $OEM$ folder. i'll try to see if i can make a cmd file which will work as well and allow logging. -
Problem with drive assignment letter (read inside)
Synapse replied to power2084's topic in Software Hangout
Unplug your CD rom drive.. then go to: Control Panel -> Administrative tools -> Computer Management -> Storage -> Disk Management set the drive letters to what you want.. then shut down... plug your CD rom back in and check.. that should fix it. -
Loading XPlode from cmdlines.txt
Synapse replied to Jeroeneke's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
try what alanoll has suggested, that should allow the logging option if you want it. and you won't have to worry about a .cmd file. and to my knowledge, there should be no diffrence between installing on win2003 or winxp the setuperr.log is where all the errors are kept that occur during windows installation. -
I stand corrected, forgot about the combo box in the upper right corner.

Loading XPlode from cmdlines.txt
Synapse replied to Jeroeneke's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
are you running the xplodelog.cmd file? or the xplode.exe file? also, what does your C:\Windows\Setuperr.log file say? -
XPLode can run at the T-12 stage, I don't think WPI can do this.. I may be wrong. XPLode runs preset installers (although you can use the XPLode Select XML file.. but it looks worse then the WPI method) until recently XPLode cost money, now its free. WPI allows the user to have a choice on which programs are installed WPI allows you to have more control when the user clicks on things to install... such as forcing the user to install .netframework 1.1 if they check the box for .netframework 1.1 service pack 1. both have their advantages and disadvantages, I like XPLode cause i can install things at the T-12 stage.. but like the Customization and ease of use of WPI. also XPLode looks a bit more difficult to learn, but this maybe do to the fact that i haven't sat down and tried to learn it
-
your best bet would probably be to use XPLode, it runs at T-12 (when cmdlines.txt is parsed)
-
yeap what nuhi said. Use nLite for service pack integration, hotfixes, tweaks, patches, whatever else you can think of =P and use XPLode or runonceex to install programs.. like Nero, AIM, or any other program you want.
