I would suggest trying a new monitor if you have one available.. if the problem continues then it would rule that out, and point more towards your video card or video card drivers. also, are you playing games or what are you doing while this happenes? if its just during games, it could be your video card overheating which a simple cleanup of accumulated dust could fix.

****, gald to hear ya got better. I probably would've died, i hate doctors and would've just taken the pain.. family would've probably found me in my bed dead oneday.. I've had this bad sharp pain in my abdomen, it acts up about 3 times a day, but its been doing it for like 3 months now. I just ignore it, probably an artery getting clogged. I give props to you people that can go to a doctor and get all cut open and stuff.. glad to see ya back here though

I'm with Ripken here.. use Daemon Tools.. hasn't failed me once. why would you need to write to a virtual DVD/CD?? if you have an iso just burn it to a CD/DVD like normal... or mount it and the comp doesn't even know the diffrence..

Thanks to Tarun for showing this to me. This program is still Beta.. but so far it has ran stable on my computer and my dads.. I played around with it for a while, and for pictures that look good with black and white they come out perfect with this... most of my old family pictures are to bright to use with this.. but any good quality black and white picture can be recolored with this. i definently give this 2 thumbs up! http://www.devlobby.com/forums/showthread.php?t=152

well SP1 keys should work with SP2 or everyone would've had to get a new copy of Windows XP when they released SP2... since this is borderline breaking rule number 1 rule on these forums i won't go into further detail.. especially since you're using a copy that you bought for 10 dollars.

actually, having electronics as my second hobby, i'm pretty sure it was done with a PIC chip (Programable Integrated Circuit.. the old Playstation Modchips were Pic12c508 or Pic12c509 chips)... or a Basic Stamp Microcontroller. these chips are basically programmable processors that you program using a language sush as Basic.. then with all the relays connected you can turn them on and off (think of a flashlight..) so all he would've had to do was make up a schematic for the relays. I'm pretty sure it was done with a Basic Stamp Chip so in his code, he would start the music, then at specific times turn on or off specific relays.. to get the effect. with all the stuff out there, i'm estimating it was about 38 relays..

i don't think theres a way to force windows to make it louder, i believe that is restricted by your sound card... maybe to prevent damage to the card or the speakers/headphones/your ears lol.. so i believe your only solution would be to get powered speakers.. even with my powered speakers i never had to raise the volume more then 1/2 of the volume knob on them.

LOL! i gotta add that to my "conditions i wouldn't mind having" list.. *EDIT* 900th post! lol... who would've thought it would be on the topic of sex too.. lol.

My Media Player Classic is from the K-Lite codec pack, never had any problems with outgoing traffic... its nothing major, but check Player -> keys and uncheck the WinLIRC and uICE boxes (unless you have a controller that needs them) and also check Player -> Web Interface and look to see if you have the listen on port box checked or not. hope this helps

I've read that the default shares are and aren't a security risk... in my network i've never been able to access another computers default shares... but just as a precaution i disable them in my regtweaks file of my unattended xpcd... more info: http://labmice.techtarget.com/articles/securingwin2000.htm theres no anchor points in the page, so you gotta search for "Disable the default shares" hope this helps

if you picked up a Windows XP SP2 why can't you just use that key... assuming you bought a Windows XP SP2 Retail CD. If you're all legit, just call microsoft... its an annoying process but it'll get you back up and workin.

i don't quite follow, i'm guessing you have your comp connected to your stereo using a 3.5mm (normal headphone jack) to RCA (Red and White cable used in T.V.s).. if so couldn't you just turn up the volume on the stereo?.. "with the receiver i was able to adjust the volume big time but now i cant." why can't you now?

hah yea i searched, just got real tired of reading.. you need 1.1.. no you need 2.0 only etc... so figured i'd make a post. thanks for the replies cluberti and cumminbk. time to go add it to my cd.

MHz is right, check to make sure you have OEMPreInstall in your winnt.sif.. I've used Oobeinfo as my primary user creation.. has never failed me.
-
ok.. sorry for a stupid question... but do you need to install dotnet framework 1.1 along with dotnet framework 2.0? or is just installing 2.0 sufficent to run apps that need either 1.1 or 2.0... thanks

easiest way ever..... just use nlite and select the uxtheme.dll patch, it patches the file into the I386 folder.. won't ever have to worry about it again. you can do it manually by applying the patch, going to: c:\WINDOWS\system32\uxtheme.dll copying that to another directory.. like C:\patch then run the commands from here: http://unattended.msfn.org/global/compress.htm this will make uxtheme.dl_ that you can then put into your I386 folder *replacing the original* (i recomend making a backup of it just incase).. from then on every install using that cd will have the file patched... however.. if you integrate another service pack into that CD.. you will have to repatch it... but its like a 5 minute process. If you want to use the uxtheme patcher anyways... you could always make a script using autoit to automate the process. shouldn't be that hard to make one.

do all sites do this or only specific sites? try downloading a game demo off download.com or something off some random site and see what speeds you get. i too get sites taht say i'm downloading in the MB/s.. but it usually goes down to about 200KB in a matter of 10 seconds.

1. I believe it is a custom skin. 2. try to be more descriptive in your topic title. 3. post in the correct forum.. this would've been a better choice http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showforum=23 cheers

wish i had a solution to this, unfortunantly i do not. but as Nakatomi has said it would be nice to check what type of CD-Key it is.. especially considering all the versions of windows that are out there. I believe i read a post by you nakatomi on another forum in which if it was you, you asked the same question and the topic just got flamed to hell and back saying you were a pirate and what not.. but i do too see the advantage this would be. I've been looking everywhere for this same thing, and have yet to find a solution myself.. if you find a solution elsewhere would you post it here as well?
