yeap wanted more space i've done about 5 test installs on my VMWare, and it works perfectly and haven't seen any side effects either. 99 megs for languages on a CD that holds 700 megs is a lot of space. and i'd rather install other programs then install languages i'll never use. although i could always go to DVD's.. but don't want my DVD drive to crap out on me and be screwed.

MaxXP, you're about as paranoid as i am lol! i usually have my comp unplugged from the internet until i got my AV + Firewall up and running. no exploits, or any contacts to MS, for me.

very nice site, if i had seen it before I wouldn't have considered this project. they however also focus on repackaged installations, which i have nothing against, i just thought maybe if i took this far enough, i could provide download links as well... so for example, i have a huge list on my server, you specify in a File say... autoinstall.txt.. that you want Ventrilo.. i make an autoit script that reads the autoinstall.txt file, sees you have ventrilo in there, checks my server for ventrilo... downloads the installer off ventrilo.com and installs it using the silent switch for it. thus stopping the constant updating of software for our unattended xpcd's. probably would be easier to just use that site and the ones found scattered across here though..

The 4 services that are SP2 only are: DCOM Server Process Launcher HTTP SSL Network Provisioning Service Security Center Windows Firewall/Internet Connection Sharing would be nice to include those for the people that have SP2.

that won't do it, not unless they send bink.nu another 1000 invites. i was mad cause i was registered there, and tryed validating after about 2 hours of it being posted... it had already been distributed across the net. and sent to friends, and friends of friends.. so about 20-30 minutes after it was posted all the slots were probably taken. wish they had given unique numbers.

yes maxXP, its a good practice to do this, although probably not crucial if the first thing you do is install an antivirus and a firewall and have hotfixes on your CD via SVCPack or any other method.

@codeblue i tried the autorun.inf last night on my 128mb pendrive, seems that only the icon= line works. could'nt get mine to autorun without some sort of 3rd party program. and i haven't tried any of the scripts mentioned in this post. although.., i was able to get the explorer.exe shell to show up with the contents of the drive by using: *was using the setup.exe that comes with the windows xp cd* but still no autorun. just kinda curious, but wouldn't this be easier with a cd... sure you can't use it again, unless its a cd-rw.. but at least with that you can setup a autorun...

nice app I personally don't leave my comp running over night cause it sounds like a **** hurricane with its 9 fans lol.. but my server which i can barely hear i leave on 24/7. so, would be nice to put it on there if i needed it.. now does anyone know where i can find some sort of firealarm mp3.. lol.. i have 2 alarmclocks next to my bed, both of which will go off 15-30 minutes before i even hint at waking up.

hmm not sure about this, do autorun.inf files work on pen drives? maybe you could make the autorun run a batch file that does the xcopy.

indeed a nice idea. dunno how hard it would be to implement it though. heres a site with a bunch of flags, http://www.atlasgeo.net/flags/Eindex.htm that i use for looking up the flags here.. example would be Martin's Flag.. the image is nl.gif i went to the site under n-o and looked for red white and blue in horizontal lines. and saw hes from the netherlands. then again.. i could've looked where it says "From: The Netherlands" LOL.
