sounds more like invalid character in the folder name to me.. if you open a command prompt and do dir does the foldername show up with any ASCII characters like ♣ or whatever..

Mozilla Firefox here, used to be a hardcore IE fanboy.. but now you can't even look up the news without getting 50 types of spyware on IE.

simply renaming the files won't allow it to be viewed, since its a diffrent format all together... i personally use the k-lite codec pack with Media Player Classic enabled to allow me to view 98% of the movies i come across.

I play.. Counter-Strike, Guild Wars, Day Of Defeat, the rest of the HL1 mods, Battlefield 1942 (desert combat and normal), Pokerstars. games i've played, but stopped due to monthly fees.. Starwars Galaxies, WoW 10 day trial, RYL (7 day trial... got to level 42 before i knew it was a trial lol). i think tahts all.

actually, i believe Ventrilo and Teamspeak are more of an annoyance of clan members telling the other team where people are going.. rather then X-Fire. althought.. i'm guilty of it so i guess i'm neutral. I tell my friends where other people are just to end the game earlier... its either a. sit there and wait on the guy camping spawn until time runs out, or b. tell my freind where he is so he can kill him. but in my group of friends, we use Xfire only to join the same games.. it pretty much goes like this "find a server" "ok" "i'm in" *everyone else connects*

i just found this: http://unattended.msfn.org/advanced/cosmetics/bootscreen.htm it may help you in making your bootscreen unattended. although i'm not sure since i've never done this.. it seems pretty straight forward though. i'm also not sure about which file gets used, doing a search of my I386 folder for ntoskrnl brought back 3 results. 1. I386\ntoskrnl.ex_ (compressed file..) 2. I386\Driver.cab\ntoskrnl.exe 3. I386\SP1.cab\ntoskrnl.exe i'm sure another member here will have more info.

not sure about the no boot screen... are you using a custom ntoskrnl.exe file? as for framedyn.dll.. i had this problem as well, either find the framedyn.dll file you have somewhere in your windows folder, or download it from http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?framedyn (don't think the version or language matters) if you wish to put it on your unattended CD.. put it in $OEM$\$$\System32\WBEM (the .dll not the .zip) this will auto copy the file to %windir%\System32\WBEM\ and you won't run into the problem again. since your running into the error right now, you can copy the dll to %windir%\System32\WBEM\ and that should solve the problem.

the "%Windir%\\Web\\MyImages\\F.ico" is referring to an icon in (by default) C:\Windows\Web\MyImages\F.ico the MyImages Folder has to be made by you, and the F.ico is a file of what you want to change the drive icon to. if you wish to do this unattended... put the Web Folder (with the MyImages folder and the f.ico file) in $OEM$\$$

the Certificate of Authenticity is the sticker on the side of the case or on the cd-case. as for editing files to bypass the windows product activation.. that is considered warez and will not be discussed on this forum.
