1. ATTACH, not PASTE; how can I read this? You are using nLite 1.4.8, not 1.4.9.1
2. There is some support HERE , but not everything. I suppose it would be better to resolve it with their tech support.
3. If you integrate the updates through nLite, and then install the main package (.NET 3.5 SP1 x64) through runonce, my guess it will overwrite the files with an older version, so they will show up on windows update. So run once is the best method for you, but follow the order, first the main package, then the updates. Restart, go to Windowsupdate website and you should be fine.
4. How did you integrate them? Did you run them through a batch file after the installation of .NET 3.5 SP1? Did you restart the computer after you installed them and then checked for Windows updates? There is another update: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...;displaylang=en Are you sure you have both of them?
5. I don't know about nLite, but I came across this article here; it involves changes in the registry, so be careful. (Sorry about the commercials, for some strange reason they can never be left out, and it was not my purpose to advertise.) Maybe it could be done through a reg file, but the article also describes other changes to files as well. P.S. Looking through search, it came to my attention that most users require such a change for domain or company networks, so I hope this is not the case with you, as nLite is not licensed for commercial use.

runonce

Two ways: 1. In the $OEM$ folder create folders $docs\documents and settings\user name(or all users, depends where the folder is)\application data\azareus and put the files inside OR 2. a batch command like this (make a folder plugins in $OEM$): REM Copy Azareus Plugin copy %source%\$OEM$\plugins\nameofplugin "%systemdrive%\Documents and Settings\username(or all users, depends where the folder is)\azareus" work out the correct folder names and it should work, and in both ways you don't need a reg file. (for the batch command line, use the inverted commas, they are necessary) -X- is right, WinRAR also works very well.
7. iamtheky, thank you for the useful link and tips, I have found a working download and will definitely be back with results as soon as I test it.
8. I've already tried search and the administrative install option mentioned there. It only gives a few options for tweaks like pop-up screens for e.g., but it doesn't allow me to choose which parts not to install. I even tried making a .MST file using the Office 2003 tools for administrative install of Office. It created a .MST file, but it didn't work.
9. Hi everybody, I have an Encarta 2006 DVD (2.8GB) that I wanted to repack and (if possible) avoid setup. exe starting and then running a bunch of other processes I had no control over in my batch file. Namely I tried sleep. exe and timeout.exe, but still the following programs continued the install and got interrupted. So, a friend told me there was an open source software to repack the whole DVD into one installer and run only one process, but couldn't remember the name. I wouldn't mind the option of selecting the components to be installed. I tried the Advanced Installer, but unfortunately it is limited to 2GB total and no larger pieces than 64k (otherwise cool). I would appreciate any idea, no matter how crazy it sounds (this is my final step in creating my own CD) Thank you beforehand.
10. As proposed by Stoner81, I am attaching the log file of an offline procedure of creating an nLite add-on for Firefox 3.0.10. Hope it helps. Edit (a month later): Any ideas?
11. Stoner81, I made both my experiments with the offline installation method. The nLite add-on didn't work, but the silent installer was OK. So yes, I agree it is more than strange, and I described all the symptoms in my previous post and I attached an image of the process and the procedure I used. I'm hoping on a consult from the tool maker. Cheers
12. Relax afredje, nothing wrong there. You probably pointed to the driver folder which contained a driver for x86 AND x64 versions of Windows, and nLite works for both versions, so it integrated both of them. The same happens to me too. Enjoy and test it first.
13. I already said you can't integrate it with nLite; the option I gave you is to install it with a batch file when windows makes first run after the installation. The link contained switches for a silent, not an integrated install.
14. A little digging through the web got me HERE where you have the procedure to install it silently through a batch file (.NET Framework 2.0 must be included beforehand). I wasn't able to find an add-on for Powershell XP x64, but wait for a while until you get some more answers. I know kurt_aust has a great big post on how to create an XP x64 DVD, and maybe johnhc could also give you a few useful tips. Enjoy, Sp0iLedBrAt
15. This post should be in Application Add-ons sub-forum. Have you tried search?
16. Just watched the AutoIt HowTo; thanks for the good job, I may just try it after all
17. Agreed, I downloaded a boot "kit" yesterday which contained the above mentioned files and one more: win51.
18. Well, I'll be damned!!! (Apologies, I had to write this) johnhc, apparently you were right. I tested an ISO XP Pro SP3 with removed "Manual install and upgrade" on VirtualPC in both possible scenarios: 1. on an already installed XPSP3, and 2. on a brand new session. In the first case, it booted without problem, recognized the previous version of Windows and offered the usual options; in the second case, again, it booted and offered the usual formating to NTFS etc. Conclusion: success in both cases, leaving me startled as to the matter which file is used for booting. I'll have to get more info on this. Regards, Sp0iLedBrAt
19. I just checked the user page page and it shows the add-on has been downloaded quite a few times, but no comments have been left so far. Please tell me how it worked for you. Cheers, Sp0iLedBrAt
20. Could you please provide an alternate download link? This one requires registration. Thank you in advance.
21. Thanks for the link, johnhc, this is a recent post and I remember reading it. However, what I don't understand (of course I could be wrong) is, won't I need at least autorun.inf or setup.exe to initialize the Windows CD when booting? Thanks
22. Kelsenellenelvian mentioned in a post on a similar topic (couldn't find it this time) that you can still boot from the CD. Could anyone explain this, please?
23. Please attach your LastSession.ini and shortly explain the procedure.
24. After an nLite session, I discovered that setup.exe and autorun.inf are not present anymore in the source folder. Could it be because I removed "Manual install and upgrade"? I think that is the only thing new in my sessions. Thank you, Sp0iLedBrAt
