  1. That's worse than that one they have on another online bidding and selling site for an usually shaped red paperclip that served the guy many good clippings.
  2. My sig's in there.
  3. LMAO @ the AV and Ice cream... geez I knew I should have eaten that Lime Sherbet icecream left out for 30 minutes instead of putting it down the sink, I guess I incidentally exploited one of my own vulnerabilities. Dry humor? Well, I tried.
  4. <a href="http://www.nohomers.net/content/fun/quiz/"><img src="http://www.nohomers.net/content/fun/quiz/bartsimpson.gif" border="0" width="271" height="123" alt="I'm just like Bart!"></a><br><font face="verdana" size="-2"><a href="http://www.nohomers.net/content/fun/quiz/">I'm Bart, who are you?</a> by <a href="http://www.nohomers.net">NoHomers.net</a></font> I feel really bad that I couldn't have been someone who wasn't posted already. And why that won't show up as the image is beyond me.
  5. Bush pwned himself.
  6. Glad to hear it.
  7. Heh, some of us are picky. Consider those people who use nLite. Trying to get rid of every last MB of unneeded XP files, regardless of HD size.
  8. Dell sucks. Anyway, you seemed to have answered your own question. Cheers.
  9. Water cooling, bah! Yeah, that's be very convenient for him to drag that stuff to a lan party, now wouldn't it? I recently got This Antec Case, which comes with a really good PSU. It's got a 120mmin the back and allows for an optional 80mm fan in the front. A friend of mine has 8 fans in his PC. Water cooling has a lot of disadvantages, especially leakage. Get Panaflo or Zalman fans, they're the best. The new Antec cases are known for being cool and quiet.
  10. By "ff" you mean "following"? I thought for a second you were referring to FireFox. Anyway, you're asking a question that would result in 23 different answers from 30 people. There are dozens of NotePad replacements out there, you have to choose the one right for you. There isn't a One And Only alternative for all programs. Anyway, I used to use Win32Pad, but they made it so it installs so I didn't like it anymore. As for WPnFV, there's Picaso and IrfanView are the 2 top freeware choices. I'd go with IrfanView. It's got a lot of functionality and customizability. Remember, whatever's right for you, is the right alternative. After you switch, go to Start > Run > "regsvr32 /u shimgvw.dll" (without quotations). This will unregister the WPnPV DLL file and then you can search that DLL and delete it. It's a crappy built-in application.
  11. DivX sucks IMHO. XviD is a lot better. When I used to do AVI encodes of my DV footage, XviD gave me sharper image at lower bitrates than DivX. Anyway, www.videohelp.com has all the info you'd ever need.
  12. I've heard of that. Purple and sometimes green smudgy looking crap all over the image? This is one of many codec conflicts that's easily solved by using the latest version of codecs such as XviD. I won't say anything more because I don't think you're anyone's fool. Btw, I loved Episode 7 of Pure Pwnage. I wonder what will happen to Jeremy in the next episode. Me and my friends used to do our own little 20 minute skits like that until my camcorder stopped being friends with my PC on December 24th of last year.
  13. www.videohelp.com Go to the Tools section and browse around for Subtitle programs and DVD Authoring programs.
  14. Well, your Custom installer is for people to choose which functions they want.. yes? Adding CDI and DSFilters to the selectability within NCab would be good, then. I don't do VCDs and I don't encode with Nero, so off they go. The AudioPlugins is so Nero can encode and identify different audio formats, so if you were to go to the extreme with how custom NCab makes Nero, you could make it so we could choose each plugin individually, but I doubt you'll do that. I don't know about Lib, but Nero still opens without it, haven't burned anything for a long time. Cheers.
  15. Dude, you don't need to reformat... holy cow. "I'm missing an icon on my desktop, time to go by brand new $3000 computer and be happy again!" You know what? I don't have those tiny images, either, but the functionality behind them still exists. I suspect you probably just spent 10 minutes one day deleting some files to clean out your HD a bit. Just because the eye candy isn't there doesn't mean the gears are broken.
  16. Calm....down. One thing, you're not even listening to those who are trying to help you. You're waiting for a big pop-up window that says it will fix everything for you. You're going to have to do some work if you want this to work. Go download Alcohol 120 and create a Virtual Drive to mount an image you've created of the Sims Expansion CD (With MagicISO or UltraISO or whatever). This way you can update your system with the XP CD in your physical drive (are you on SP1 or SP2 because a game install shouldn't result in your PC asking to update files and such). Anyway, while it updates from physical drive you can mount the ISO of the Expansion in your virtual drive created by Alcohol 120 and install it. If you happen to get file not found/copy error on .dll files, then I'd assume you weren't very updated. Let us know how it goes.
  17. Holyyyy s***... that's a lot of Trojan Viruses man. Next time be careful with what you DL. Use Kaspersky or NOD32 for your antivirus, Norton is a resource hog. Use Firefox or Opera as your browser. If you're going to use P2P, use Shareaza or use torrents. Don't open e-mails from anyone unless you know exactly who it is from and what is in the e-mail. Also, follow my signature and use nLite.
  18. Try disabling your onboard network/enthernet controller in your BIOS and then try the Windows installation again.
  19. Oh geez guys... www.videohelp.com All you could ever want to know about audio and video. Links to doom9.org in many of their guides. The lower the bitrate you use, the lower the quality is going to be. Use VirtualDub and XviD codec to produce good AVIs. Not WMVs...
  20. It's magic!
  21. Wasn't very funny IMO.
  22. Yeah, I say save yourself the hassle and use Trillian v3.1.
  23. Jeremy

    movie games

Pffft, Half Life Trilogy (each movie about 2.5 hours) would pwn.
  24. C:\Program Files\Nero Tried the latest version. Much better experience this time. Edit - I've always removed the CDI subfolder myself, so I think that can be added to the custom installer as well. Edit 2 - What about: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ahead -AudioPlugins -DSFilters -Lib I know for a fact that DSFilters can be removed because Fridge-RaideR has a .bat file that unregisters and removes them. They are for encoding with Nero. 1. Can you make an option for the silent install directory to be specified? 2. UNNero.exe runs the installation over again, doesn't allow you to uninstall. Not that I want to uninstall such a beautifully customized version of it, but just for functionality sake. 3. Could you make it so Nero does not cache anything before burning? 4. All toolbars at top to be removed/hidden? 5. Nero Express button to go as well? 6. No Start Menu Group created? Those are the only things I think should be added to the user-friendly GUI. Nice work!
  25. WMFDist.exe Try that.
