  1. Ouch. But PerfectDisk rules.
  2. Codecs aren't much of a bother, very simple to deal with. And anyway, it's nice to keep a look out for any new codecs/filters that playback formats more efficiently without increase or possibly decrease in CPU usage. Codecs/filters integrated into the EXE aren't always the best thing, I know this is the case with MPC, but you have the option to use alternate codecs I think.
  3. Uhm, Opera is the most secure, customizable and feature-rich browser I've ever used and heard of. Ask Zxian about stability. Run it for a week flawlessly if you want to. Opera has never changed their name as long as I can remember. Opera also was the first browser to be patched against spoofing vulnerabilities afaik. It doesn't take a genius to configure IE, either. You can either set it to max and not being able to do much downloading, or set it to medium, download stuff and have ActiveX controls abused. You're missing the main point anyway. Just because you're savvy with it, doesn't mean the other 89.99999% of Windows users who use IE are as well. People should be able to open their browser, do what they want and not be at risk of spyware or hijackers. I haven't received one malicious file in my 2 years or so of using Firefox or Opera. So as I said, IE is garbage. That's my opinion. I didn't say you weren't entitled to yours.
  4. If you want something done right, you gotta do it yourself.
  5. Nothing really special there anymore. Been up for several years, enough time for practically all users to get a grasp of what he has to offer. If you use nLite, then you don't really have to worry about the Services, since that's pretty much the infamous reason people go to his site for...
  6. Or maybe even... some fresh air?
  7. DFI
  8. Back from a weekend with my gal. I'm on her mother's P2 233 Mhz right now. Anyway, Marthax, never really thought about that. I have a router yes, I remove everything except MultiProcessor Support, I never have any problems with my router or connectivity. As long as I integrate my Onboard Ethernet Controller Drivers, it works flawlessly everytime. Don't know what else to tell you.
  9. Not even give the option for it? Sheesh, more time-consuming manual removing of useless file extensions for people who just burn things and go about their lives... .NHF, .NHV, .NMD, .NR3, .NR4, .NRA, .NRB, .NRC, .NRD, .NRE, .NRH, .NRI, .NRM, .NRS, .NRU, .NRV, .NRW, and .NSD Or is it because it's harder to do than simply removing setup files?
  10. I've been removing that since it was in nLite, never had any connection problems. I don't even use DHCP Client Service as I use a Static IP (manually set).
  11. Wow, Clint, for someone with so much going on, you sure know how to tell people when they should and shouldn't be finished doing something they gave no guarentee on in the first place. I also like to excel in life, but my excelling has nothing to do with computers! So don't be telling me "Your time is up!" Go skydiving. There are no girlies, just one girl, get your facts straight. I do clarify things. Anyway, I'm off this Kingdom of Boredom. No offense to people like gdogg or Fridgey or Nuhi, just sick and tired of repeatedly justifying myself against short-time-spanners.
  12. One small request. Can you make it so Nero doesn't throw in dozens of its own file extensions?
  13. When did I send a resume to you? When did I say I was working on your schedule? I have real life issues I'm dealing with here, not **** DLLs. You and others are so obsessed with DLLs files it disgusts me. Muuch more to life. And go ahead and do your 's at me, you think I care? Ha. The last time you asked me for support, I politely declined it because we weren't going about the same means to reach the same objective. I don't expect you to do stuff for me because I'm too lazy. But when you p*** me off, expect words. As Fridge-RaideR says, I can't be bothered with this right now.
  14. I've been having a few relationship issues with my gf this past week, oh Mr. Clint! I'm also in the works of getting a part-time job along with college. So if you sat back and thought about life for a second, you'd realize that I'm about to tell you: The last thing on my mind right now is **** DLLs in Windows XP! More direct version of the above statement: "I don't give a s*** about Windows XP right now!"
  15. Sorry to hear that. Go to www.secunia.com and realize that Opera is 100% patched against all of today's known Internet threats. It also offers far more customizability than IE. If you still like IE after that, I'm really sorry.
  16. It's just the letter of the drive, big deal. A Q, L, Z, what's the difference. Kinda trivial... I like how they go in alphabetical order.
  17. A company online called Impact Computers. Worst service ever.
  18. Fridge-Raider pwnz at that game. So would Digeratiprime.
  19. The nationality comments really p*** me off. Anyway, if I was gonna do that, I'd do it with my avatar.
  20. I have Antitrust on DVD, awesome movie.
  21. I'm getting this DFI mobo soon.
  22. Famer, try keeping cmdial32.dll, it's part of the Connection Manager, which is needed for Dial-Up/DSL PPPoE connections.
  23. Works like a charm, thanks!
