  1. Pretty cool how strangely unexplained things happen, eh?
  2. Why don't you just do a search for every image of that format on every drive and once the search is finished, Ctrl+A and Del? Then of course empty Recyle Bin... unless you want to use Eraser v5.7 to erase the files and not just take the labels off which is what emptying recycle bin does.
  3. Is there a program I can use to save one main page and at the same time save all of websites connected to that site? Just wondering...
  4. I miss PuntoMX... Oh no... I've reached the end... of my roll of Graham crackers. Crap. Hmm, what? Oh, I'd help out too, but I don't have much time and I'm not really sure of the method on doing it...
  5. A registry with that much removed... that's gotta make Windows respond a hell of a lot faster...
  6. Holyyy moootherrrrf.......
  7. Media Player Classic + FFDShow + Tony & CoRoNe's DirectShow FilterPack. I can play everything from ASF to HDTV clips. 1By1 Directory Player for mp3s.
  8. No, I don't have an extra HD. I was considering burning DVDs...
  9. I don't know much about read/write problems. I checked the connections and it was working fine a few days ago. This drive happens to be the one where I keep all kinds of different files from years worth of collecting. I *can't* lose the data. I think it may finally be dying. Any temporary ideas before I save up enough money from my soon-to-be job and get a new drive?
  10. It's not like I insulted anyone Clint. Anyway, PM waiting for you. Back on topic. I'm smart enough to keep personal stuff to PMs, not turning the thread into Dr. Phil.
  11. I recommend you take some time to spend actively with those who look up to you, family is much more important these days than any operating system. 0s and 1s do not compare to the emotions and experiences shared with loved ones. Sometime, but definitely not a priority for the time being.
  12. The only way you can remove users from that list is if you block them (which they than go to the Block list), or if they delete you from their contact list and you right-click on their names and "Delete" is no longer faded out, then you just remove the name from the list.
  13. Try them and see for yourself.
  14. Well, that's the intention I was considering when I searched for you. It does work with WMAs so I assumed it did what you're asking.
  15. Yeah, don't say things like "this is for n00bs". I think we've established that they want WFP on their system, hence the 80-some posts in this thread. Just because you say that doesn't mean it's going to make them be like "Well, I don't want to be a n00b, so I better go with what this dude is doing!" That's not how you treat people.
  16. I've been busy with college and my girlfriend (our 2-year anniversary was the 11th), so no I haven't been touching nLite, either. ResHacker does help me significantly with DLLs, especially if there's a "Dialog" section in them that shows exactly what in Windows they do, then I can narrow the description of the DLL precisely. I might work on it a bit, but I don't really see the point now since Clint seems to have his XP down to a science... I don't know how much more help I'm going to be.
  17. Try this one. dbPowerAmp
  18. Googling "WMA to MP3 Converter" will give you dozens of programs to try out. CDex does CD>MP3s, dunno about WMA>MP3.
  19. Because different anti-virus programs detect different kinds of viruses. Try NOD32 and Kaspersky. B)
  20. IrfanView Slideshow & Screensaver Options Enjoy. Screensaver's file extension is .scr, which is in that screenshot. Select images for slideshow and export as screensaver, it's that easy.
  21. Also, give Firefox or Opera a try and see if you like them.
  22. OMG, I'm sorry but wow. They are two seperate programs. Why would one installation affect the installation of a completely different program? C'mon... I really don't mean to hurt your feelings, but it's literally common sense here. Windows Messenger is old, MSN got really full of ads now, but there's Dexter's version or the Mess Patch from www.mess.be. If you don't want to use either, use Trillian, or GAIM. By the way, Google makes your life so much easier...
  23. As I said, FinalData will do the job if he's just looking to recover he ripped the label off (emptied recycle bin). FinalData does the job that others say they will do but actually don't.
  24. Uhm, you can't...
