I found two errors.First: Error 1603 when installing Creative Suite 3 or 4 products Second: Error 1904 which has to to with Flash.
-
--> Error message at installation | CS3 - Adobe This article describes some problems during installation and some solutions... ...and also how you can find the installation logs.
-
@fz500 I didn't mean a log of HFSLIP, I mean an installation-log of adobe.cs where the reason for the error can be found. Or the error message during installation of adobe.cs.
-
I've never used IEACCESS.CAB - as far as I know it's for only HFSLIP 2.0 (correct me if I'm wrong) suggestion: 1. use the current version of HFSLIP 2. check the updates with the file-checker (HFSLIPFC) (download: see my signature) 3. report the results here Mimo
-
@fz500 Is there an installation-log-file or an error message which could help to find out the reason?

Always from MS.I've tested another installation (from March this year): much less (about 35) updates are shown as missing. Thats ok. I've asking me why so much updates are shown as missing with the current Windows installation? But it seems that no one has made the same experience and so it's not a prob of the WU-site.
-
After slipstreaming I checked my installation against Windows Update. WU told me I have >70 missing important/high-priority updates. Some months ago I noticed the same with Microsoft-Update-Site after I checked my office-installation (also slipstreamed to the latest security-patch-level). What's going on there? Mimo
-
Your additional line seems to work good. I made a new Beta J: v3 ( v2 was an optimation for the new swflash.cab wit a new dll inside). You can get it from my update-list.
-
Thx for confirmation
-
on description. I use also beta J but what about v3?? How I know my hfslip is v3? WindowsXP-WindowsMedia-KB975558-x86-TRK.exe still seems on WU Look at table 6 on my update list

Hi JonWell,it seems that is OK is HFSVCPACK_SW1: mpg4ds32.ax and mp4sdecd.dll was updated mp4sds32.ax: do you had this file before? It's not on my system (a few weeks old) mp4sdmod.dll was not updated because you have already a newer one So, I don't see any problem here...
-
Hallo Archeron, thx for the tipp! For using the modified HFSLIP, where do you put the update? In HF? Mimo
-
Because of the need to reformat the list, I've done it for Parseues W2K-list also. I took the one from the first post. Mimo hfslipfc-2k.rar

This is the missing point inside of the file-checker:KB954459 can be overriden by two updates: either by KB973687 or by KB973686. So far it's possible to check one update against one other. --> Todo: Check one update against two others! new file-checker: 2010-09-16 - Added: Added KB2141007 to the existing check, that KB968389 and it's reg-file are existing. - Added: General dependency-check against more then one file - Added: Checking the version of User Profile Hive Cleanup new file-checker extension for xp: 2010-09-16 - Fixed: KB973687 will now be checked against the correct file of KB973686 - Fixed: KB954459 will now be checked against KB973687 AND KB973686 - Added: Reformatted the list for the extended depedency-check (possibility to check against more than one file, like before) - Added: Version-info for User Profile Hive Cleanup Because of the need for the extended dependency-check i had to reformat the list. Parseus W2K-list has also to be reformated. I'll do it asap! Mimo

Hi Lilla, now I checked the MSXML-Updates. The list (website) is OK but inside of the file-cheker there is something missing. But first, I have a question: should only be reported if a) High-Priority-Updates and B) KB973686 is NOT inside of HFa is given because of your INI b is NOT given because KB973686 is not listed as missing (means it is inside of HF) --> So why comes this message? I don't understand ... This is the missing point inside of the file-checker:KB954459 can be overriden by two updates: either by KB973687 or by KB973686. So far it's possible to check one update against one other. --> Todo: Check one update against two others! Thx for your hints!
