    Windows Updates

It seems that I should change the category of KB967715 from "High Priority" (Important) to "Optional".
  2. Thx! I will add this link to the list! shell32.dll of kb971029 will be replaced by a newer update. kb971029 contains also Shsvcs.dll which probably will not be replaced by another update. Mimo PS: And KB967715 is still needed because auf HonorAutoRunSettings (but can be replaced by a reg-file).

    Windows Updates

so, I've tested it. Result: Even with the latest shell32.dll you need the HonorAutorunSetting!!! Without HonorAutorunSetting, AutoPlay is not deactivated completely! Example: - Deactivate Autorun for all drive-types (NoDriveTypeAutoRun=0xFF) - Remove HonorAutorunSetting (or set it to 0) - Insert a CD with Autoriun.inf - Open Explorer - Open context-menu of the CD-symbol (Right-Click on CD-Symbol) - You see "Autoplay" ---> AutoPlay is not deactivated at all places! All what is written in KB967715 needs still the HonorAutorunSetting=1. For HFSLIP-Users: Use the WindowsXP-KB967715-x86-XXX.exe or a reg-file!
  4. new extension for XP: 2011-03-02 - Added: Adobe Flash Player 10.2.152.32 - Removed: Adobe Flash Player 10.2.152.26

    Windows Updates

Sorry, don't understood. What do you have in mind here? Yes, forgotton to remove this line (PS: in the file-checker I removed this update correctly) Thats what I've written in the remarks (Sec Adv 971888 = KBKB957579). In the file-checker you can deselect advisories and select optional-updates. For example: If you have deselected advisories and selected optional-updates, KB958752 will just be reported as missing if you don't have KBKB957579 in the HF-folder. I think about a better description! (related to the KB-article) Sure, yes! Thx again! Thanks for your hints. They are very welcome! Mimo

    Windows Updates

Hi -X-, thanks for the info about your experience with Windows-Update and autorun-updates. But even if shell32.dll of KB967715 was replaced by shell32.dll of KB971029 (what makes WU happy as you say), it's important to have the HonorAutoRunSetting=1 (what's done by KB967715) if you want to disable AutoRun correctly. Or is HonorAutoRunSetting=1 the default-value for Windows when the HonorAutoRunSetting is not existing in the registry? In this case, AutoRun can be correctly disabled w/o this setting. But... I don't think so but I could test it. Mimo PS: Of course, if HonorAutoRunSetting=1 was needed in the registry, KB967715 can be replaced by a reg-file when using HFSLIP
  10. As far as I know, these updates contains (0 files copied...) just settings like registry-entries. But others also asked for this. You should find it here in older postings.

    Windows Updates

Google-translation will us give this: I am using version 1.7.10 beta HFSLIP J v4 But even in Server 2003; KB975558 and KB975254 can not be integrated. Did he I wonder HFSlip be updated in this direction? This includes the integration of IE8?

    Windows Updates

Thx for the info. I think the Server 2003 updatelist is maintained by fdv, or "was" at least...I just can say that... ...for KB975558 for Windows XP you need at least HFSLIP 1.7.10 (beta J v3). ...for KB975254 for Windows XP you need at least HFSLIP 1.7.10 (beta_D). Don't know if this will help for Server 2003. Mimo
  13. Thanks, I will put this link to the update-list!Mimo
  14. Thx for the info! KB971029 is not really new, it's from 2009. It will just now be offered via Windows-Update. The only reason for using KB967715 is to create the "HonorAutorunSetting" reg-entry. If you use a reg-file instead you can remove KB967715. Vacation sounds good If you have the possibility to upload to your dropbox plz let me know Mimo

  16. Hi Kiki, atm wget.exe is just used to check for an update of the file-checker, not for downloading windows updates. I began to implement this feature, but... it's not finished yet...
  17. Yes, I collected already all the infos + SWFLASH.CAB v10.2.152.26 for an updated list...
  18. And another question is, which version is supported by HFSLIP for W2K? Probably this helps: http://www.msfn.org/...post__p__927099

  22. it includes just this ...
  23. No need to use KB2360131 anymore. KB2416400 replaces KB2360131 Sure. I tested just KB2416400 w/o KB2467659 to see what WU say... KB2416400 + KB2467659 is needed in one slipstream-process
  24. Same experience made like jvidal: First HFSLIP-run with all but w/o KB2467659: WU asks for KB2467659 & KB2416400 Second HFSLIP-run with all (also with KB2467659): WU is happy
