  2. Do you talk about hfcleanup_qlaunch_fix.zip? Probably another user here will have this file...
  3. new update-list for xp: 2010-09-14 - Added: Malicious Software Removal Tool 3.11 - Removed: Malicious Software Removal Tool 3.10 (replaced by 3.11) This is the first part of the patch-day. Because MS releases the udaptes very late on patch-day, I will complete the list with the following updates tommorow!
  4. You should look to the update-list...
  5. Hi Lilla, nice to hear from you... Do you mean MS10-42 is not listed in the change log? It is listed under 2010-07-15 yes, good idea... Next week new updates are coming and with this I'll add firever also. thx Hmm... I'm sure it's correct but probably a little MSXML-updates-matrix will be usefull. When I have time i will create this...Mimo
  6. Even when there is no further development (so far) for hfslip, there are users who are still using it and know where to download. And this is still the place to talk about hfslip-related themes...
  7. oh... you also have a spave-character afer the ...exe. The easiest way is, to copy the line from the hfslipfc-xp.cmd (search for KB...) to the ini
  8. if you specify a fully qualfied file name (with path),you have to use the complete name (here: "WindowsXP-" is missing, see above)
  9. Defrag.cmd and HFSLIP_POST_Defrag.cmd are downloadable from my list (table 6) since a couple of days hfanswer.ini: there's nothing special in it... PS: you can find infos about the ini on my site (under "Extras")
  10. You can add this file in the WIN-section of the INI to avoid this message You can add this to the IGNORE-section of the INI to avoid this message I added this to the WIN-section of my INI. Remove it to avoid this message You're welcome
  11. I hope to YOUR needs WU ist not set to 1 in the INI. But no need to change the INI. Ignore this output. this file is not inside of the list for XP ??? really? I've never used it
  12. New file-checker extension for XP 2010-08-31 - Added: WindowsXP-KB2264107-x86.reg (remove the CWD from the DLL search order) The optional WindowsXP-KB2264107-x86.reg removes the CWD from the default DLL search order (highest protection against "DLL Hijacking" but can cause problems with some apps. Read KB2264107). Because possible problems it’s optional.
  13. OK, you got the reg-file I attached the INI which I use for checking the updates (this is NOT the INI I used yesterday for checking your update-list - I don't have the INI anymore - if I remember right, it was the default-INI which will be created by the file-checker).But if you use my ini PLEASE read the ini and ... 1. confirm that all my settings are correct for you (WMP, IE, ... OPTIONAL, ADVISORIES, HOTFIXES...). Otherwise change it. 2. I've added some files to the WIN-section (starting with "+WIN"). I've added files here which are not checked by default - clean up this section. This section is not really necessary, just for me to ensure that I have it all. 3. I've added some files to the IGNORE-section (starting with "+IGNORE"). These are updates I don't want to have (they will not be listed as missing) - clean up this section. This section is not really necessary, but I don't want to see some missing updates again and again... Mimo hfslipfc.ini
  14. sure, I can upload my hfslipfc.ini this evening! which reg-file? For these file - sorry - but I cannot help you. I don't use them. When I started to create my update-list I found these updates on this XP-List and I just took them (also to the file-checker). When I test a Windows-XP-installation (in a VM after running HFSLIP) I always go to the WU-site (or MU-site) and download the required components which a required for using these update-sites. When I install Windows XP on a real machine, I don't use automatic updates. That's why I don't integrate these MU/WU-files. Sorry.Mimo
  15. I run my file-checker against this list and... wow... so many obsolete updates, also regarding IE8 (see log-file): I suggest to use the file-checker as long as the output tells you that all is OK. My log-file is just an example, because I don't know the goal of your HFSLIP-process. Please enter YOUR options in the file-checker-INI which will be created at the first run. You get this tool from my site (see signature). Mimo hfslipfc-LOG.zip
  16. As far as I remember right, I got no probs with this update. I took all - WMP11/RDC7/MSXML4/IE8 - from my list (see signature) but w/o WU/MU. But which updates do you use? Probably a problem like this klick (read also the following postings from Acheron) Mimo
  17. How do you identified that it was not integrated correctly?

    Windows Updates

Mim0, both of those links point to the KB2264107 download. The correct link for the Root Certificates should be: Update for Root Certificates [August 2010] (KB931125) . Yes, THX. PS: It was just an error in this posting above. The link in the list was correct.

  21. Hi TeddyBeers, yes, that's not very nice, but the reason is: the check for missing updates in general (depending on you options) are doing the first output then, when using KB970430 and/or KB971737 I check if KB968389 (and it's reg-file) are existing --> the second output! these checks/outputs are at this moment independend. I could combine them. I'll think about that... thx, Mimo
  22. should work now new file-checker extension for XP: 2010-08-15b - Fixed: Added HFSVCPACK to the folder-set (check for obsolete/wrong updates)
