archivos copiados equal to copied files. Both updates are verified, extracted by hand using /x switch. Do you looked inside of KB2508272 or inside of KB2503658 (MS11-026: MHTML)? I found a newer inetcomm.dll in KB2503658
-
Yes, sir, I know http://www.msfn.org/...post__p__962418btw... could you drop a copy of SWFLASH.CAB (10.2.153.1) into your box so I can use it as primary link?

April 2011 - a little horror The upatelist is up to date, the file-checker comes asap (now time anymore today ) But here are the changes for this patchday: New Updates: Removed Updates: Replacements Any remarks are appreciated! Mimo

That sounds good. Thx for taking this job to update the filechecker-extension for w2k.

What I wanted to say before was, that I use Win XP SP3 Pro (of course with IE6 inside) for HFSLIP (to integrate IE8)
-
I've tested it : Win XP SP3 PRO (in which IE8 was slipped in) I have the following differences: - no extract.exe in HFTOOLS (don't have CAB-Addons) - boot.bin + cdimage.exe in HFTOOLS (to get an ISO easily) - Driver-Option F (I think you used A,B or C, I wanted it faster) No problem during installation! Don't have any further idea... ---- Probably this could give a hint: http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/142698-xp-home-install-bug-iertutildll-at-t-13/ ???
-
yes, very magic... should not make a difference. Sometimes I use it (with just one or two lines), sometimes not (when I want to start a HFSLIP-run w/o my default-options). Makes no difference in result... It's the data which makes the CD bootable (extracted from an original XP-installation-CD!).
-
I could try it also to slipstream just IE8 into Win XP SP3 (a Win XP Pro with SP3 already integrated - from MS). But I can't promise that I can do it these days... Do you created your XP-SP3 cd by yourself? Just an idea: If this problem was caused by the System where you run HFSLIP, you could install a vanilla XP Pro in a Virtual Machine an run HFSLIP in the VM. I would install this XP in the VM which you will youse for HFSLIP.
-
Don't know this problem but you should give the latest HFSLIP a try: http://mimo.zxq.net/updatelist.htm#FilesForHfslip

new file-checker extemsion for XP: 2011-03-22 - Added: ...KB0969084... and ...KB969084... are equivalent now - Added: Adobe Flash Player 10.2.153.1 - Added: HFSLIP_PRE_RDC7.cmd - Removed: Adobe Flash Player 10.2.152.32 - Removed: HFSLIP_POST_RDC7.cmd
-
SWFLASH.CAB is prepared... Upload and List/Filechecker-Update today...
-
Yes, this should be the solution. The POST command worked on the test-installation in a VM. And no changes in the file-checker was necessary. But I will change it... probably a PRE command with a small change in the file-checker.
-
fascinating!!! Why does it work on my system? I should update the ...RDC7.cmd Thx for the info!!!
-
It sounds that RDC7 (and its update) was not installed at T13 but I think you have checked that. I just checked my installation again, RDC7 will be installed and updated, WU doesn't want something for RDC6. So far no idea. Probably the following files will help (as zipped attachment): - hfslip.log - the log-output of the file-checker (if you using it)
-
Wow, much activity for W2K!Does it make sense to update Parseus' file-checker-extension for W2K? (if yes, who's gonna wake up Parseus )
-
Thy for your test, buddy I've thought about it and I came to a solution. 1. Place the update (KB2483614) also in HFSVCPACK_SW1 2. Use my HFSLIP_POST_RDC7.cmd in HFTOOLS The HFSLIP-extension HFSLIP_POST_RDC7.cmd is doing the following: I've tested it with success! Mimo PS: without HFSLIP_POST_RDC7.cmd the update will be installed still before RDC7-installation, and will be overwritten by the RDC7-installation.

I've looked into HFSLIP: HFSLIP uses QFE and - if QFE doesn't exist in an update - HFSLIP uses GDR. (good to know after using HFSLIP for years!!! ) With this knowledge I've looked what's inside of KB2481109 and KB956744 and I can confirm that KB2481109 replaces KB956744 KB956744: SP3QFE ---- MSTSCAX.dll --- 6.0.6001.22443 SP3GDR --- MSTSCAX.dll --- 6.0.6001.18266 (nothing more for SP3) KB2481109 SP3QFE ---- MSTSCAX.dll --- 6.0.6001.22840 SP3GDR --- MSTSCAX.dll --- 6.0.6001.18589 (and more for SP3) Mimo
-
oh... sometimes, when compared the version of an installed file against the version number of the GDR-branch (what's written in the KB-article) they are always equal. But probably in these cases (when I checked the version) the files (QFE- and GDR-branches) had the same version-number...
-
Yes, KB956744 contains a lot. But the most is not for the SP3GDR-branch
-
KB2481109 (MS11-017: Remote Desktop Client / RDC 6) replaces KB956744 (MS09-044: Remote Desktop Connection) Both contain MSTSC.exe and MSTSCAX.dll. Mimo
-
Yes, this is a good question.Could you test this combination and see if the RDC7-update (in HF) will be overwritten by the installation of RDC (HFSVCPACK_SW1) at T13? Otherwise I will do it when I have time...
-
THX btw... probably someone can tell my why MS11-017 (and also 09-044) will be offered for RDC 5.2 on XP-SP3? On a vanilla XP-SP3 (original CD from MS w/o any further Updates) there is RDC 6.1 inside... Mimo
