  1. (wether I restore Active Desktop or not, still do not get the transparency for icons). Uhm, I found out last night, this regtweak disables Active Desktop completely: After restarting Windows: I don't get the Active Desktop restore annoyance + I get the transpancy for icons! This means the Active Desktop bug and the transparency for icons are related... fix the annoyance of Active Desktop and the transparency will be fixed as well Bad thing: Active Desktop is necessary for JPG wallpapers so now I can only use BMP wallpapers :( So it is not the correct fix. If I only knew what is causing the failure of Active Desktop !! Your solution seems to be for the transparency, but why don't you just add the regtweak to your existing regtweaks.reg that runs at T12? This way it will be applied for all (future) useraccounts. It doesn't solve the cause of my error... not sure if it handles the cause of your error.
  2. I hate it when people just create a topic, instead of searching.. how arrogant. I've created a package with the sounds and a .reg file to install them. Enjoy (the search & the sounds). hint: it's in the Unattended Windows forum. ("Vista Sounds").
  3. @sonic, I really don't need that, I simply install it with the /qb switch and /norestart and everything installs just fine + KAV works perfectly. Just like KAV5.0! Do you have any idea how to do the settings unattendedly? For example the annoying KAV logo+text on the Windows Loginscreen. You can disable this in the KAV settings. So I want to do it unattendedly
  4. Ofcourse I test a lot, before creating my new cd completely, I test if it installs unattendedly... and if all apps are installed. Then I move to the next step, intergrate xpize, test again, integrate drivers. Just to be save. Problem: now that the cd is finished, I am using 2 pc's installed with that uA CD a lot more. I discovered 2 major bugs I never had before! - Lots of times after booting the pc, I see the white background with the text about I should restore Active Desktop. Djeez, last time I saw that was in the Windows 98 era!! I don't need active desktop, but I am pretty sure it is needed if you want .jpg wallpapersupport. - My desktop icons aren't transparent, they all have darkblue background for the name of the icon. Very annoying because it is sometimes hard to see the difference between a selected icon and a non-selected icon (since both have darkblue background for the icon name (like Recycle Bin). Even stranger: it is absolutely impossible to get them transparent! 2 things should be checked in systemsettings, they are... I tried 2 other solutions, regtweak, registering a dll file... nope.... I don't have a clue how this bug came and why it is so persistent. Any idea or solution, how exotic it may be, please let me know!
  5. Yes I thought you meant that one. I tested that installer. I started 7z File Manager, closed it again.. checked a few zip and 7z files, no icon. Started FM again, this time changing the options of context menu, closed FM and I had the nice icons (perhaps takes a longer time, and just starting FM and closing it is enough, OR you need to edit someting in the settings before changes take effect). So the icons is OK. But there is a strange other bug, also in the installer/creator from the first post.. I didn't even notice it before: File Manager appears in my own language (Dutch), the context menu does not! it's in English (even after rebooting etc.)! How come? Using the official installer I always get Dutch context menu. btw if your too busy don't bother to reply, take your time EDIT: Ohh and when I run this regtweak after the installer, I do get the contextmenu I want (unfortunately still in English): [HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-602162358-1606980848-1202660629-1005\Software\7-Zip\Options] "CascadedMenu"=dword:00000001 "ContextMenu"=dword:00000327 So that is the prove the contextmenu items can be changed with a regtweak. Note this is a user-specific tweak, I posted the general tweak few posts back. This tweak removes "test archive" and adds Extract to "blabla\" etc. like I said a few posts back.
  6. uhmm wanted to try this now but uhmm sorry stupid question perhaps but are you referring (in the first quote) to a new installer (where is the link)? or should I extract the created installer and start it with the code you provide?
  7. Download Newest Nero Lite HERE! I hope this won't be a topic like Alanoll's Winamp MSI.. all those people asking him for ...
  8. What you are quoting IS the autoit method, the other method is with a simple regtweak few posts above your message.
  9. @kholyo3n1: I always did the same with KAV5, the regfile contained the key, (it was a different registrykey with KAV5). Thanks for the new path! Do you also have a trick to get your custom settings?
  10. I use RunOnceEx at T13, when the 7zip should install, it holds for short sec and moves over to next item. When I check later, there is no folder in Program Files. When I install after first boot, it does install 7zip but I've got the runtime error 13 I mentioned earlier a few times... After Wednesday I'll test.. have more time then BTW is there a difference for installations between T12 and T13?
  11. No its not, you can even export/import settings! But don't know how to auto-import..
  12. OK so this modded installer allows you to install silently, but how to automatically use your preferred settings? With KAV5 you could simply set everything like you want and copy the profile.dat file from: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal\5.0 I added the profile.dat file to my uACD, extracting it AFTER Kav installer to the same folder. Always worked. But KAV6 doesn't work with such a profile.dat file. You CAN however export your settings to a .cfg text file.
  13. Could you pleeeeaaase fix the options in the leftbar in the coming Lite version?
  14. Read the unattended guide! Don't think you know everything whats in the guide after you read it once... read it at least 8 times... even if you think you know the Beginner part, read it again. I mean the Unattended guide... not the pdf file mention. For Office the Shrink guide is OK, just google to read how to integrate SP2 in Office2003 because SP2 wasnt out yet when the guide was written.
  15. Please wait a bit, have exam on wednesday will upload everything after.

    WMP

I haven't seen WMP in a year now.. Remove WMP + old cd/mpplayer + No compatibility with NLite, then take a look here: http://ksphere.free.fr/site/codecspackage.php Also there is a difference between the Windows Media Lite pack you use and the WM10Lite on this site, I recommend WM10Lite, there is a topic about the stuff on the ksphere site here, also explaining the difference in post #232. http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showto...0707&st=255
  17. Check wich .CAB file contains the style, remove it and place your own in it, use makecab.exe to create cab file again. But I really do not recommend this... you can have lot more options if you do it like this: Remove themes, cursors and windows Sounds (but not beep driver) with nLite, add style+themefile it in the $OEM$ folder, because then you can put in your winnt.sif you want YOUR .theme as default. BTW I think you might be confused with a .theme file (a text file that has the location of a visual style (msstyle), Cursors, Soundscheme, Wallpaper) and .msstyle, only the visual style). So you can have your own style, cursors and soundscheme with a custom theme file + msstyle thats in your $OEM$ folder. Cursors/soundscheme you can extract during RunOnceEx.
  18. Actually for VBS you need VBS support in Windows, some people remove VBS support with nLite.
  19. I've created a very nice slim installer, it installs .Net 1.1 + all updates & 2.0 + the hotfix. It can be run in 3 ways: - just double click, then with 1 click it will install everything (One-Click Installer). - install silently, with or without progressbars, you can even choose (not) to keep the extraction progressbar. - install silently @T13 (SVCPACK or RunOnceEx or whatever, I use RunOnceEx@T13). If anyone is interested, after wednesday I'll put it on my site, Dutch and English version, incl 1.1 or only 2.0 (so 2 versions in Dutch and 2 in English language), so you can use it. It's a fast and clean method, just extract and install, no bul*****
  20. I've created a .Net Framework installer that can be used as a normal installer to install .Net Framework 1.1 + SP1 + the hotfix & .Net Framework 2.0 + the hotfix on a pc that doesn't have .Net yet, or silently during unAttended setup or even at T13. For now I've only created the Dutch version but if there is animo for an English version I'll post that one too. One-Click install: it's in Dutch, just asking user if he/she wants to continue installation of .Net 1.1/2.0. Using the -? or -h switch you'll get to see the options. Giving info about the switches for different methods of silent install (with/without progressbar, with/without extraction progressbar, T13 install). Just let me know if people like this and I'll post the English version as well. I could create a batchfile if people want to create other languages as well.
  21. Actually, you HAVE seen it before, take a clear look at your RunOnceEx file it's simply a .cmd batchfile using the REG ADD command to add keys to your Registry! so you can add other commands to that file as well, although it wouldn't be very nice perhaps? because you could make mistakes thinking RunOnceEx.cmd only contains your installer commands. I have a file Aftertweaks.reg that gets executed by RunOnceEx at the end, deleting/modifying few regtweaks like this Unlocker thingie. But perhaps you could use your (already existing?) Cleanup.cmd? adding the Unlocker regtweaks to Regtweaks.reg that gets executed by cmdlines.txt, before Unlocker is installed is useless since the Unlocker installer will overwrite your tweaks.
  22. Hi the icontext, below icons on the desktop used to be transparent.. I used regtweaks (during unattended windows setup) for this. But since I used newest Xpize it's not transparent anymore. Normally you could make it transparent the following way: I suppose my regtweak always took care of this. also "Smooth edges of screen fonts" should be selected I think. And: right-click the desktop, point to Arrange Icons By and make sure that Lock Web Items on Desktop is un-checked. But none of these things help... since XPize edits resourcefiles perhaps it has something to do with it? I didnt had this problem with 4.1 or 2 (the last XPize I used before 4.5).
  23. I actually forgot to use it. Now added to my RunOnceEx. BTW, cleaning the virtual memory will also take time, right? So one should not perform vmcleaner to many times otherwise it might even slow things down... cleaning the vm everytime?
  24. I still maintain it.. Savefile has upgraded to v2.0 of something... now they deleted ALL files, but the projectsite + statistics are still there... Unfortunately I am not home, won't be untill monday or wednesday so I don't have the chance to re-upload untill then.
  25. Uhm what is this about? just installing Nero custom or also stripping it from the parts you do not install?
