OK this can be fixed by putting shimgvw.dll in your system32 folder and register it with this command (Start>Run..) regsvr32 shimgvw.dll This also enables thumbnails of your pictures in Windows Explorer (when you are using that viewing method). Very handy if you use an app like Messenger to select your picture. At least your icon text will be transparent. A work-around I have been using: select a BMP wallpaper instead of JPG. Or convert your jpg to bmp first and select the bmp file. This way the shimgvw.dll file is not needed.

I've created a website. I discovered I uploaded the Pink version twice so if you download the blue version you'll also see the pink skin. I fixed it just now, if you download and install Blue version now the SimplicityClear skin (myy personal favorite) will be selected. Enable Dynamic Library and Equalizer and it looks beautiful. When Winamp fades, the faded equalizer with Glass effect look sooo cool, very Vistaish. WEBSITE http://dvd.yardcure.com/ @MGadAllah, Winamp already plays Flac.. it can even encode/decode flac. Same for Ogg. You can even encode your FLAC collection to OGG for your MP3player (I like that).

Since Nero 7.5, the option in Nero Burning Rom to create a Bootable CD is gone... can this be added again please?

I like it the way it is now, it works always no matter what 7zip version.

I still wonder why people don't simply install @ T13, it saves overall time and Kav will not restart the pc.. no need for tricks, simply /QB or QN.

Thanks! In the next version (can't promise I will release a new eLite with every Winamp release, the 5.0x, 5.1x and 5.2x series were most of the time very small updates) I will include Shoutcast Wire since that is necessary for podcasts.. I never watch them but I can imagine people do.

It's a hard rule you ONLY use nLite on a clean windows setup. You could checkout the driverpacks, they can be updated easily.

Lucky you, Real alternative Lite & Quicktime Lite already exist! check their downloadsites for the Lite versions! The method R33K3K describes is a way of unattended installing without mpc.. but you will have to include the FULL versions.

Choose No sounds, rightclick desktop, save the current Theme under a new name, specify a location. This .theme file should be put on your uACD. in winnt.sif, point to this theme. Done. Every .themefile contains info about the Soundscheme. So if users would select a different theme, it would be possible they also activate a different soundscheme. So you should either edit every .theme file you include in your uACD or simply remove the Media folder. If you save soundschemes, they are saved in the Registery, HKU, very annoying to extract to a .reg file suitable for every PC.

Would it be possible to shrink Office2007? I have been using an unattended shrinked Office2003, 60MB (still using CD, since there are still a lot of computers without DVD). So I am hoping I will be able to shrink 2007 as well

Actually I hoped Office 2007 would NOT be shrinkable in the same way we shrunk Office XP/2003! Since that was really a very time-consuming and not very easy method. I hope it will be a lot easier to shrink!

OHW sorry! I thought this topic was in the Unattended Windows forum! With nLite (www.nliteos.com) you can edit the Windows XP install CD, shrink it. And create a CD that installs Windows automatically (you can go drink some coffee while the CD installs Windows + apps). There is a stage during this setup process wich is called T13, because then there are 13 minutes remaining before Windows Setup is finished and reboots and loads the Windows Gui for the first time. During this time you can let Setup launch a .reg file with your favorite tweaks! They will be applied for All Users and the tweaks will be set as default. If the file I attached to my previous post still doesn't work, I'll investigate if the tweak can be applied to a user-specific section of Windows Registry. Did the file work? Remember to close all Windows Explorer screens, run the .reg file I attached and when its finished, reboot pc. After reboot, open My Pictures and hopefully you'll have list-view!

yes I know I have to do a lot more testing on this case to figure out what's going on. This strange thing is happening for a while now and it annoys me I do not have the time to focus on this issue... I actually posted too soon on this forum.. Today I almost finished my bachelorresearch so from now on I have more time for this issue... I suspect it has something to do with my giant regtweaks.reg file... perhaps there are a few nasty tweaks in there wich mess up the Registry or something... the file is so old and has grown soo much.. I'll report when I have some conclusions

The regtweak does work, but your version is corrupt! Just delete the backslash thats all... yours contains: "Settings"=hex& #58;09, the bold items do not belong there, see my code again. This forum automatically cuts the line with a backslash. I attached the regtweak this time. And it is also in the regtweaks topic. And I pointed out you should run this regtweak at T13 to make sure it works. Also the part about shimgvw.dll is just extra... I find it annoying I do not see the preview in dialogs. For example when I need to select a picture to attach to an emailmessage. the dialogs also have list view, but even when I choose thumbnailview I do not see thumbnails but big icons instead. Registering the dll file shows thumbnails of the pictures in thumbnailview, instead of icons. With icons I mean exactly what you see in your (trodas) first screenshot! The acdsee icons, instead of a thumbnail of the picture. In Explorer I don't care about this, but in dialogs where you need a certain picture I do find it annoying. (For example if you want to select 1 nice photo for MSN Messenger avatar, from a folder with 100 photos). ListView.reg

Simply add mplayerc.exe to a 7z file and extract it with RunOnceEx. Use /regvid switch after that for file association. BUT in my experience /regvid doesn't work at all. Same for /regaud. unregvid and unregaud do work. So I use an AutoIt script to associate with videofiles.

Sorry for the very late response... have been very busy with my own bachelorresearch programme. Here it is, a regtweak for Always-List-view-in-Explorer. So not Just your Pictures folder! What I do, after my pc has been installed, I open My Computer folder and select the other Viewing option (don't know the English word) and do the same for Network Connections folder, and do the same for my D: drive (containing folders Music, Movies, Download + my documentsfolders for the useraccounts). For those folders I don't like list-view Perhaps with Regshot you could catch these changes and save them with this regtweak Maybe I'll do it later 2day and update this post, have to install a laptop. ;List-view in Explorer [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Streams] "Settings"=hex:09,00,00,00,03,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,e0,a5,1f,0e,73,35,cf,11,ae,\ 69,08,00,2b,2e,12,62,04,00,00,00,04,00,00,00,43,00,00,00 Add this to your regtweaks.reg file that runs during Windows Setup stage T13. If you don't I don't think it will have any effect. BTW this is a common known regtweak, If you guys would have checked the regtweaks topics, Regtweaks.net or something, Regtweaks Pt 4 in the Unattended Windows section or TipsnTweaks section you would have found this tweak earlier (it's how I found it a year or more ago). EDIT: perhaps also usefull: my system doesn't show thumbnails for images when I select thumbnailview, it only shows the icon of the associated program. This happens when you remove Windows Picture/fax viewer (wich I still recommend to remove because I hate the Windows picture viewer stealing associations). This can be annoying when you need to select an image, for example for Msn Messenger. You get a Browse dialog, and you can browse to the image you want to select, so for this you select Thumbnailview but you get to see the pictogram of the associated program/filetype. Download shimgvw.dll and place it in your Windows\System32 folder. Then just click Start>Run... and copy paste this: regsvr32 shimgvw.dll press enter, done! Some people might think you are vulnerable for the WMF exploit if you enable this file again, bul*****. The recommendation to disable this .dll was only when there was no patch available. I assume your system already got the patch (from the RyanVM or similar Updatepack) You won't be vulnerable to the WMF leak if your Windows is patched. BTW this has nothing to do with the regtweak.

Hey guys, just wanted to know if there are more people with these very annoying issues: for example a Acer Aspire 5101AWLMi laptop with Ati Radeon Xpress 1100 videocard (uses shared memory). Everything installs fine but the Ati driver from Acer cannot be installed. It gives errors when I start setup, and when I choose normal or express install it gives a final message setup cannot continu. For the Medion 97600 the problem is worse, the installation of the Intel GMA 900 does run, but after restart it is like Windows has no memory at all... I can hardly login to my account, it gives messages it can't find files like explorer.exe, it can't load them into the memory... Dutch Windows XP SP2 + Dutch RyanVM Updatepack. LAST_SESSION.INI
