  1. Right its official!!!! Im pulling my hair out with this!!!!! *cries* I have now done the following.... 1. Downloaded the needed .NET v1.x files needed including the two the updates. 2. Downloaded the needed .NET v3.5 full (231mb version that has the service pack in it) 3. Downloaded the script from post 1. 4. Downloaded strel's remade SNM_mod7.cmd script and and files. I have not got .NET v2 since its included with the 231mb v3. Ok so here is what I have then proceeded to do.... 1. I have not modified the SNM.ini answer file just to keep things simple. 2. I ran the SNM_mod7.cmd script to create the installers as shown in strel's post. This ONLY created a silent installer for v1 of the .NET Framework and not the others even though they are there and have not be renamed or anything (I followed the instructions to the letter) the script ran smoothly with no errors saying a file was missing or anything at all so I have not got a clue!!! Please help!!!! Stoner81
  2. What file could not be found? Is it the file 7za.exe?If it is, then you have to download Tomcat76's original script: http://users.telenet.be/tc76/pool/20080603/SNM.zip Unzip it to the same folder as the one you have all the other files in, and run strel's SNM_mod5.cmd again. Strel decided not to include this file in his package, but as far as I know, you will need it together with all the other files in SNM_mod5.zip. When I use this script for creating the danish DNF_full.exe, I run SNM_mod5.cmd, with these files in the folder: 7za.exe 7zSD.sfx dotnetfx.exe dotnetfx35.exe dotnetfx35langpack_x86da.exe langpack.exe NDP1.1sp1-KB867460-X86.exe NDP1.1sp1-KB928366-X86.exe SNM_mod5.cmd _SNM.ini (modified to MERGE_FRAMEWORKS=FULL) And it gave me: DNF_all.exe (55,3 MB) This danish version works with all versions and languagepacks installed correctly under Add / Remove Programs - even the languagepack for 3.5 gets installed correctly. It might have been my fault, that you are confused You will not see 1.0 in Add / Remove Programs, but you should see 1.1. Sorry, but I will not take credit for this script - thank Tomcat76 for it, and strel for the recent modification. But I hope my reply will help you with their awesome script! Ok guys thanks for your help I will remake it from scratch and I will re download all the needed files just in case mine are corrupted or something and then I will report back on how things have gone.. thanks again guys! Time Zone

I have a similar problem which is as follows.... I set the timezone to GMT since I live in the UK with nLite and end up with the timezone from Afghanistan!!!! come on MS get with it will you for crying out loud jeez!!!! All other settings are fine though (thankfully!!!) Stoner81. PS - If anybody finds an answer to this please send me a PM thanks guys!
  7. 3.5 is backwards compatible because it has 2.0 and 3.0 included in the installer, hence the download of 3.5 installer only, and not 2.0 and 3.0 installers. This batch separates the versions for easier implementation, but you need 3.0 to install 3.5, and 2.0 to install 3.0. Read the notes in post 1. 1.1 is clever to include, since it has important security fixes for the 1.0-version installed in XP already. Just remember to install this “beast” last, and you won’t have any problems. The install order is simply (read the notes in post 1): 2.0 (can be installed with svcpack.inf) 3.0 (runonce) 3.5 (runonce) 1.1 (runonce) Or simply use MERGE_FRAMEWORKS=FULL Ok m8 I hear what you are saying but I have a small problem..... I followed the instructions as posted in the first post so I downloaded the following .NET v1.0 and service packs .NET v3.5 (the 231mb version) So i then used the new modified SNM command to create the merged installer (this should make all the versions of the .NET framework into one file yes?) during the creation it gave an error saying that a file could not be found so i told it to continue and that was it. I tested the installer on my desktop to test it and it installed no problem at all except it did not install v1.0 + service packs??? I have made sure i have followed the instruction correctly so im at a loss here very strange. The only thing i can think of doing is making it again without merging them so it makes v1.0 as a seperate one but i would prefer them all in one installer Anyway i hope you can help me on this one and thank you so much for your hard work in the creation of this wonderful script! Stoner81.
  8. Thanks for the update i have been using v7.2.0 and the bug with the desktop loading was really annoying so thanks for fixing that. One suggestion though guys in the next version could you please put back the option to organise the WPI into alphabetical order for the way things are installed i cant find the option to do this in the new version so i apologise if it is there and i cant see the wood for the bloody trees!!! Thanks again for this awesome app, pats on the backs for all you guys!!! Peace Stoner81
  9. Awesome!!!! Happy aniversary!!!!! May it continue for many years to come!!!!! Peace! Stoner81
  10. Are you adding the driverpacks properly I had the same error and Im damned if i can remember how I solved it. If you google the the error you should find out how to sort it.
  11. OH MAN!!!!!! I could kiss you for this dude!!!! Awsome job downloading the extra bits now and will run it, amazing job buddy as always your hard work is very much appreciated!!! Thanks again Stoner81
  12. Wouldn't it be easier to just use nLite to set the timezone for you its just a pull down menu
  13. Your boot screen problem i have no idea about m8 im afraid i gave up on that one ages ago, as for the Startup.BMP i have never seen/found this in my own install i have removed ALL the wallpapers and installed a theme with its own wallpaper to be used at startup i found that to be the easiest way to solve this problem. Hope this helps. Stoner81.
  14. What make is it for one thing, the best way to do this is by using nLite to intergrate the needed drivers into the textmode part of the install take a look at driverpacks.net too for more info (look at MassStorage) Hope this helps. Stoner81

  16. /VERYSILENT /SUPPRESSMSGBOXES /NORESTART /SP- /SERIAL="AAAA-BBBB-CCCC-DDDD-EEEE-FFFF-GGGG" replace with your own serial and away you go this works for me no problems at all! Hope this helps! Stoner81 PS - Bear in mind that this is for Nero 8.3.6.0 Micro from updatepack.nl it is a far smaller installer since its just the burning rom and nero express.
  17. Well so far in the file i have its line 434 and all the others one that folks have sed to change are wrong too!!! please help!!!! here is what im trying to achieve (eventually i hope).... Im trying to use the silent maker to make an installer for every version of the .NET framework along with every service pack i am NOT using any languages packs at all. I have downloaded all the files needed from MS and what not its just SP1 for DN3.5 thats causing me problems!!!! Could somebody please upload the correctly modified version of the SNM.cmd file to allow me to make this????? Please help guys *prays* Stoner81
  18. Use the program mentioned and it will do it all for you.
  19. The normal pictures that are there can be removed by using nLite. To add pics into the folder goto your source on your HDD (source being the folder which contains your I386 folder for you customised version) and create the following folder structure; $OEM$\$$\web\wallpaper Into this folder place your wallpapers that you want and they will be copied over when XP is installed. Visual themes can be added by using the UXTheme patch built into nLite and by placing the theme you want into the following folder structure of your source cd; $OEM$\$$\Resources Into this folder place your theme file and folder and then you need to edit your WINNT.SIF file in notepad and add the following; [Shell] CustomDefaultThemeFile="%WinDir%\Resources\Themes\[YourThemeNameHere].theme" and that should be it.
  20. I have used this and its absolutely awsome!! pure genius!!! Stoner81
  21. Only slipstream ONE service pack in your install since SP2 supercedes SP1 and SP3 supercedes SP2.
  22. Its far easier with the Windows Post Install Wizard.
  23. Personally i have removed this since anybody who uses it will have their own drivers for it so its rather out of date now i would say (with a fair bit of confidence) that you can get rid of it with no problems (i sure aint come across any so far) Hope this helps. Stoner81
