  1. In nLite look in the Unattended section and there is a tab for themes/visuals (or something similar) this will look for any theme currently installed in your current install. OR in ur windows source that you are using for nlite create a folder structure as follows; $OEM$\$$\system32\resources\themes into this folder place you theme (after making sure that its been patched as mentioned above) Now in ur I386 folder look for the following file; WINNT.SIF open this with notepad and scroll to the very bottom and copy and paste the following; [Shell] CustomDefaultThemeFile="%WinDir%\Resources\Themes\xxxx.theme" where xxxx.theme is the name of your theme. Hope this helps/ Stoner81
  2. It will modify original md5 summ to edited PE files. Without that operation Windows Installer will not copy edited PE files. It's strongly recommended to edit md5 summ! Ok m8 i have used it and it still wont **** work!!!! tis driving me nuts!!! I used Modifype on the shell32.dll file then used makecab on it then put it into the I386 folder of my setup cd but it still overlays the new icons with the old ones beneath. Im really lost now on what to do... thanks a lot for all your help m8 very much appreciated. Stoner81 EDIT - Ok folks i have used Restorator to get the file animation into the shell32.dll but its in the wrong place. When moving/copying etc the animation to a little to far to the right and i have got no idea on how to solve this i think its something to do with modifype and have tried to change the alignment but it wont have it. Any ideas?
  3. Ok folks here something ive been trying to work out... I have Icon Packager which i want to use in my install to change the look of my desktop icons/folders etc etc Now the install of the program is not a problem ive got that sorted out, what im after is how to setup a default set of icons to be used at first boot without having to first load the program and manually select them. Thanks in advance for any and all help given! Stoner81
  4. I have got ResHacker already buddy but im having trouble replacing the avi's with the new ones at the moment lol!! Stoner81
  5. Thanks for this dude!!! EDIT!! I have since tested this using method 2 and i used makecab on the two files (after updating the resources) and put them in m I386 folder, but for some reason it decided to use the normal windows one instead. I have tried both ways now of doing this and so far no luck either way. Any ideas? Stoner81
  6. How do you put those AVI's into the shell32.dll file tho guys I have been trying to work it out and no luck so far yet!!! Please help Stoner81
  7. Thats some seriously impressive stuff dude!!!! awsome!!!! Stoner81
  8. Is this update right? coz their homepage says 3.0.1 (at the time of this post being made anyway) Just double checking Stoner81
  9. Awsome work here dude thanks for the share will try it out and have a nosy see how it looks Thanks again Stoner81
  10. And don't forget to modify these files by modifype What will that do? I have put them straight in just as a test and the shellstyles.dll has caused a minor problem it has overlayed the icons included on top of the normal ones from programs etc. I am going to replace the original shellstyles.dll and re-try and see what happens. Stoner81. EDIT - there is no original shellstyles.dl_ (or .dll) on my orginal setup cd so im assuming that it is something else. This is sooo frustrating to say the least!!! The overlayed icons i do quite like and would like to keep them but i have no idea on how to stop the system from overlaying the new icons with the old ones.
  11. DUDE!!! You are a certified genius for this!!!! Thank you thank you thank you!!!!! for this it has been driving me up the wall trying to sort these out. Mucho respect to you dude!!!! Stoner81.
  12. What version of office are you trying to use? If its 2003 Pro then look here; http://unattended.msfn.org/unattended.xp/view/web/50/ This is what I used to make mine and it works like a charm! as for Frontpage and the others im not to sure at the mo Stoner81
  13. Just a thort here why not use the Driverpacks Mass Storage drivers from driverpacks.net and slipstream them directly into your setup cd? Sorry if this has already been mentioned Stoner81
  14. Stoner81, if I'm correctly understand you, read this one. If you have not deleted shell32.dll file from WFP list, it will be overwritting by standart files from \WINDOWS\system32\dllcache folder. Try to use it in this way: edit you shell32.dll, then process it by modifype and make cab-file (shell32.dl_) and replace original file in i386 folder. After this original shell32.dll will not overwrite you custom shell32.dll. Ok then buddy, the shell32.dll and shellstyle.dll files that I have i would like to use so could I just use makecab on them and put them into the I386 folder on my setup cd? This is what i will try and do and report back on how things go Thanks a lot for your help, very much appreciated Stoner81
  15. Yes Ok nice one thanks for that!!! Will defo try it out. Thanks again buddy Stoner81
  16. Ok guys a slight update here now i have sorted out the theme problem, the problem i think was that i had put the extra info in the WINNT.SIF file in the wrong place which was screwing things up. So its just the shell32.dll and the shellstyle.dll files now. Cheers. Stoner81.
  17. Once extracted where abouts is this to be placed? is it on the I386 folder?
  18. Use NOD32 to scan the file (its the best AV system there is) and see what happens, also you could try Ad-Aware from Lavasoft which is a good antispyware program. Hope this helps Stoner81
  19. Ahh i see in that case i aint got a clue im afraid sorry i cant help you out more Stoner81
  20. Using those options is the same as using nLite to create the unattended section of the install, you could try Prompt Repair option in the answer and see if that does the trick. Hope this helps Stoner81.
  21. Ok guys wasnt sure where to put this so i thought to put it in here since its a theme problem. Now i intergrated a theme using nLite which it now uses but i have since intergrated another one using nLite (even using a totally fresh setup of the XP cd) now its the new one which i want to use as the default one on boot up. The theme is there and can be selected manually once the system has booted but im after getting rid of that part. So after intergrating the new theme with nLite i realised i also had theme in my $OEM$\Resources\Themes folder too could it be this that is causing the problem? I have also edited my WINNT.SIF file with the following code at the very BOTTOM of the file [Shell] CustomDefaultThemeFile="%WinDir%\Resources\Themes\VistaVG Black.theme" and this doesn't work for me at the moment. My second problem is i have found a shell32.dll file and shellstyle.dll that i want to use since it should change the file animations (when moving/deleting/copying files) i have looked within the file with ResHacker to check this but the system will not use them for some reason?? They have been put into $OEM$\system32 on my setup cd and still no luck since this should (as far as i know) overwrite the normal windows ones?? Any help will be greatly appreciated guys! Thanks in advance Stoner81.
  22. Why not use nLite to slipstream IE7 directly into your setup of windows? This would be much easier to do imo but hey ho Peace. Stoner81.
