To my knowledge bitmap images can not be made tranparant in any way.

Try the following; 1. Download the latest version of nLite from ; www.nliteos.com Install this version and remove previous versions. 2. Run your original source CD through this version only using an original copy of XP (I recommend XP Pro personally) 3. Keep OEM Preinstall in the unattended section and fill in your other details if you are using an unattended setup. 4. Under the patches section make sure you ENABLE unsigned themes (it is disabled by default). 5. Once nLite has finished then goto the source you are using on your HDD (the folder which contains the I386 folder) and create the following folder structure. $OEM$\$$\Resources\Themes 6. Into this folder place your theme file and folder. 7. Now open your WINNT.SIF file with notepad and enter the following at the bottom; [Shell] CustomDefaultThemeFile="%WinDir%\Resources\Themes\[enter your theme name here].theme" This is where you were going slightly wrong there are no spaces around the equals sign (=) 8. Press Ctrl+S to save the edited WINNT.SIF file. Enjoy! If you are having problems with your sounds I can help with that too. Hope this helps Stoner81.

Or why not switch to Nero 8 and solve the whole problem just my thoughts mind hehe! I use Nero 8 Micro from updatepack.nl works a treat with the WPI no problems at all!

Hi guys I have seen this round the forum and it cant be silently installed due to the way the seteup.exe is made (compressed) but could it be decompiled to get at the other files within and then recompiled using say Inno or NSIS installers? I have no idea on how to do this and Im sure many folks would love to have this hope we can get something going for this! Stoner81.

Thanks for the feedback. As long as MS don't change the properties, the program should work for future versions of WLM. Awesome m8 there is also a new version of A Patch which is compatable with the new version of WLM but im assuming this is already included since it worked but i did it with a pre patched version. I had problems with the first version it just wouldnt play ball for some reason will try the latest one and see what happens im still using the cmd based one you made (which works for me very well!) anyway thanks buddy heres hoping it works for me this time Stoner81.

u need a bitmap image about 130x130 in size (give or take a bit) this goes into %SystemDrive%\Windows\System32

I've installed it and used it without Silverlight and haven't had any problems. Is there some were saying it is needed. As far as I know Silverlight is MS answer to Flash and it's for programming web apps\browser plugins for animation and such. The full version download has the Silverlight exe in it, it is not added as only msi's are added to the list. If it is needed I can add exe's as well and Silverlight can use the /q switch but you would need the 134MB d/l of the WLM Ahh reet m8 ok no worries, the full version (134mb) says it needs Silverlight due to the video call stuff (i think?) anyay thanks for the info I install Silverlight in my system through the WPI (along with everything else) so no worries. Hey m8 ive had a thought.. this version of WLM needs Silverlight v2 installed before it will work now the current installer doesn't include this so wud it be possible to include the Silverlight v2 installer as well with this? Yep not a problem, Just missing some quotes which bolloxed 7-zip if there were spaces in the filename. I have sorted that and I'll post the build later, currently looking at adding the option of adding DPs and emoticons to SFX. Tried to install this on a Vista system and it threw up the Visual C++ error as previously shown in this thread so really waiting for the new version m8 when you incorperate the runtimes into the installer. My silent install didnt work but im fairly sure thats my fault for getting the cmd syntax wrong (switches) but other than that awesome job! Stoner81.
