Nlite want to alter a name
Ummm... Curious - why would you want to do this? I'm pretty sure it's stored somewhere in one of the XP installation files. Also... [ Moved. ]

My EuroTrip 2008
Sweet. Yeah, it's the ISIC card, and I can get it down the street from my university. So my parents apparently want to see Prague too, so I've mapped out a few other places I'd like to see. Maybe someone can tell me if I should just skip a few places completely if there's nothing worth seeing/visiting (there are tons on this map). http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&....355469&z=6

My EuroTrip 2008
Hey everyone, My parents and I will be visiting Europe this summer, specifically The Netherlands, Belgium, France, and possibly Germany. We will be flying into Amsterdam, do some stuff there, and then will probably travel first through Germany, back west to Belgium, and then down to Paris. Since a good portion of you are from Europe, I was hoping that you could provide me with some kind of list of places that I might like to visit. Anything goes, so fire away!

XP SP3 Serial woes
Vista screws with the slipstream. Try doing it on an XP box. Also, try finding a gold CD (no SP) to slipstream it into. You DO NOT need SP1 or SP2 already slipstreamed onto the CD to slipstream SP3.

RDPing from Work PC to home PC over a proxy.
I'm not a fan of logmein, as it seems to send an entire bitmap for each refresh, very slow. it could very well be that the teamviewer app does similar however I had a look at the screenshots and it does appear somewhat slicker than logmein, I shall have to see when tomorrow comes. cheers In my experience, it's been pretty fast every time.

How to make a dynamic signature (IP sig)
Yes, it is. You can add a line break in the message like this: Test4, \nTest5

XP SP3
I thought you'd bring that up. What we really meant to say was that we didn't want you posting links to unofficial copies of SP3. The one you sent me links to the Microsoft website and therefore is considered to be OK. Edit: Verified the file myself. It's legit.

XP SP3
Not showing up for me... Edit: MrCobra, no need to PM me with the link. You could have posted it here since it links to Microsoft's website. Seems legit according to http://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?show...t=0&start=0. Direct link: http://download.windowsupdate.com/msdownlo...e2300ebfde4.exe MD5 Hash: BB25707C919DD835A9D9706B5725AF58

Which version to use?
This question has been asked many times in the last few days. Please use the search function at the top of the page next time. To answer your question, you can and should use the XP CD without a service pack to integrate SP3 as it will not leave any leftover files afterwards.

Slipstream SP3 into XP Gold?
I can. cluberti has also confirmed this numerous times. Service packs contain all previous hotfixes/changes/updates to the OS, so you can definitely slipstream them into RTM media.

How to make a dynamic signature (IP sig)
Hi Futurist, First off, welcome to MSFN! To not make everything in one row, add \n where you want the row to end and everything will then appear on the row below it. For a random font, remove this line: $font = '/path/to/your/ttf/font/verdana.ttf'; And replace it with this piece of code: $random_font = array('', '/path/to/your/first/font.ttf', '/path/to/your/second/font.ttf', '/path/to/your/third/font.ttf', '/path/to/your/fourth/font.ttf'); srand ((double) microtime() * 1000000); $rnd = rand(1,count($random_font)-1); $font = $random_font[$rnd]; Hope it works! If not, post back here with the error you get and/or a screenshot of what you're getting and I'll reply back.

IRC Bot Techno Song
For those of you that haven't heard the song "Boten Anna" by Basshunter, here's your chance: http://youtube.com/watch?v=dRRi-13KXes It's about a bot named Anna. Here's the English version that has nothing to do with Anna, the IRC bot:

True (or I just haven't figured out how to do it yet). You could always setup some sort of a spare computer as a gateway of some sort.
