  1. Nocturnal, we'll take a look, please attach (not paste) your Last Session.ini. Make sure to always start with a fresh copy of your CD files/folders, do all your work in one nLite session and integrate only one SP. Enjoy, John.
  2. mastroale, your English is fine, but I think you are in trouble. Please attach (not paste) your Last Session.ini and we'll take a look. Most who have asked for help restoring removed components have had to start over. However, a person was able to get his Turkish language restored via the German nLite site. Hopefully, someone will have a suggestion for you. Best of luck, John.
  3. Francesco, I noticed that you removed Media Center under Multi Media. I don't have one of these (XP x64), but I am wondering about it and your last hot fix, WindowsMedia-KB952069. Is the update being applied to something you removed? This can cause strange symptoms. Please let us hear. Enjoy, John.
  4. g-force, if you look at Francesco's screen shot, you will see that the window is from the brick looking icon in the system tray. Your system probably has one. If you double click it, the window will open listing the devices on your system that are removable. In my system these are my SATA attached HDDs and my USB sticks. He does not expect to see his Ethernet and other non-removable devices in his list. I admit that I had problems figuring this out myself - the picture, that is. Right now, I have no idea why this happened. One question for Francesco: are these device attached via USB? Enjoy, John.
  5. ricky03, I certainly don't have enough information to help. So, please attach (not paste) your Last Session.ini. Make sure to always start with a fresh copy of your CD files/folders, do all your work in one nLite session and integrate only one SP. Enjoy, John.
  6. Francesco, I see you have run nLite on a Vista system to create an ISO for XP. Some report problems with this combination. Can you try running nLite under XP? Also, often when these really strange symptoms occur, nLite has been run more than once against the same source. You should always start with a fresh copy of your files/folders, do all your work in one nLite session and integrate only one SP. Enjoy, John.
  7. ccl0 is right! pooranimator, please attach (not paste) your Last Session.ini. Make sure to always start with a fresh copy of your CD files/folders, do all your work in one nLite session and integrate only one SP. I run XP x64 and have had no such problems. I have installed and run both avast! and Comodo Internet Security (both FW and AV) with no problems. Besides attaching your .ini, you need to be more explicit about what kind of problems you are having. Enjoy, John.
  8. astrotouf, please do a search for ICH8M and check out this post. Here is the Intel driver DL site. Your English is fine. Good luck, John.
  9. swtslasylm, you need to start with something simple. Please see my other post to you. Try running nLite against a fresh copy of your CD, use only the first item in Task Selection, Service Pack and the last, Bootable ISO. On the Bootable ISO page, select Direct Burn. This will burn the ISO to a CD that you should be able to install. Please let us know what you learn. Enjoy, John.
  10. swtslasylm, how did SP2 get into the CD? If it is an original install CD with SP2 installed by MS, just use nLite to add SP3. Please attach (not paste) your Last Session.ini. Make sure to always start with a fresh copy of your CD files/folders, do all your work in one nLite session and integrate only one SP. Enjoy, John.
  11. skoobiedu, glad I could help, John.
  12. mrs.michaelcorleone, just place the updates in the Hot Fix section of nLite. There is no need to use the SVCPACK method. NLite may use it for some updates. You can look after running nLite. Please make sure to always start with a fresh copy of your CD files/folders, do all your work in one nLite session and integrate only one SP. If you have further questions, please attach (not paste) your Last Session.ini. Enjoy, John.
  13. skoobiedu, I did a search on my source folder and found references to my theme in five different files. I suggest you do the same. In DOSNET.INF may well be the place that the theme is referenced for install. If you can figure out how to remove it from here you may be in luck. I have two curiosity questions: why do you want to remove it and why do you refrain from starting over? Enjoy, John.
  14. mireazma, I think removing IE is asking for trouble, but we have too little information to see what the problem is. So, please attach (not paste) your Last Session.ini. Make sure to always start with a fresh copy of your CD files/folders, do all your work in one nLite session and integrate only one SP. Enjoy, John.
  15. skoobiedu, we don't really know what you are doing, but I suspect you are running nLite on a source folder that has already been processed by nLite. This will not work. You can reuse the same Preset (Last Session - instructions to tell nLite how to process the source), not the same same source. So, please attach (not paste) your Last Session.ini. Make sure to always start with a fresh copy of your CD files/folders, do all your work in one nLite session and integrate only one SP. Your theme should show up under the Desktop Theme tab of the Unattended section. Highlight your theme and click Remove. Enjoy, John.

    Nlite runonce

sohel1211, here are the switches for nLite silent install. %Source%AddOns\nLite-1.4.9.1.installer.exe" /VERYSILENT /SUPPRESSMSGBOXES /NORESTART /SP-Place this in RunOnce of Unattended and place the 1.4.9.1 installer in a folder called AddOns in your source folder at the same level as the I386 folder. Have fun, John.
  17. glerac, as far as I know, topics are never closed around here. I sometimes see topics 2 or 3 years old being used to explain a problem. I have no files named setupreg, but I would like to see your log file. If the forum will not let you attach a .log file, then please rename it to a .txt file and post it - thanks. Glad you fixed your problem! Enjoy, John.
  18. glerac, you need to upgrade to nLite version 1.4.9.1. The only other thing I can think of at this time is security software. Try closing all you security SW (firewall, anti virus, anti spy ware, etc) and let us know what happens. When I do this I unplug my modem to protect me from the Internet. But first, update nLite and run your fresh source folder, doing all your work in one nLite session. Please keep us informed. Good luck, John.
  19. Blindsay, optical drives are not that hard to remove/install, drivers are in Windows. You might install your DVD drive in your old machine until your install is complete. Enjoy, John.
  20. Zayne, you need to remove "Explorer-Launch folder windows in a separate process" from your tweaks. This exposes a Windows bug. You can see if that's your problem (without rebuilding/installing) by going into Folder Options (under Control Panel) and un-check "Launch folder windows in a separate process". Reboot your machine and see if your themes work OK. I assume by you mean, your themes are not there and the Theme Service is not running. We have lots of things yet to explore. Please do the un-check I suggested and we'll go from there. Thanks, John.
  21. WarnockG90, I have not done a dual boot install, so am very unknowledgeable here. I do see you have two sets of text mode drivers, Silicon Image and nVidia. Your RAID pair (for install) is connected to just one of these. Remove the drivers that your RAID is not connected to and see if this helps. Please let us know the results. Enjoy, John.

seekinwhite, like I said earlier, it may be difficult if not impossible to remove these prompts. I would not call them drivers, so that was what confused me. I am always learning. I, too, would like to get rid of these because of the time wasted but assume since nLite has a method to include F6 drivers, nuhi would have found a way to eliminate this one. The F2 prompt is more problematical, since some may want to use it in the future to repair a bent Windows. Enjoy. @Angelico_Payne, great to see your helping here! I think seekinwhite is really wanting to get rid of the message and the wait - certainly would be my goal. Please let us know if you have an idea here. Enjoy. John.

    Feature Requests

@Volatus, since I learned about booting my VM directly from an ISO file, I have not burned a DVD. But, before that, I burned many a DVD+RW with Direct Burn in nLite, never having a problem. I do not believe there is a bug in nLite. I did, however, ALWAYS erase my DVD+RW first. Enjoy, John.
  24. Zayne, .NET is a huge program and the install takes a loooooong time, even on a very fast machine. On the Theme issue, I'll repeat my previous inculcation: I suspect your hot fixes, so try it with NONE. Enjoy, John.
  25. In a word, no! If your friend has no drivers, then remove all the drivers from nLite and run it again for him/her. The XPCD_SP3 is not a MS Windows CD label that I recognize. If this is not a legal copy of Windows, then we cannot help you here. Please see the Forum Rules concerning warez. John.
