  1. bugmenot, you should watch the video. An MS lady says slipstreaming IE8 is supported only for Vista and above and not XP. She seems quite pleased at this development! I install IE8 in my nLited ISO via the RunOnce exit in Unattended. Sorry, John.
  2. DarshfX, I see nothing under [GuiRunOnce] in your Last Session. I guess you are saying you can see the reference to your command file in the Registry, but it never launches. I will do some research and see if I can discover what could prevent the launching of RunOnceEx files. I suggest you do the same and, please make sure to always start with a fresh copy of your CD files/folders, do all your work in one nLite session and integrate only one SP. Enjoy, John. EDIT: Are you running under an account with administrator privileges? John.
  3. bugmenot, this is no surprise. Please see this thread. Enjoy, John.
  4. NliteForAcerAspire, please attach (not paste) your Last Session.ini. Make sure to always start with a fresh copy of your CD files/folders, do all your work in one nLite session and integrate only one SP. You may need to rebuild, not copy stuff from another PC. You should consider using a virtual system, such as VirtualPC, VirtualBox, or VMware Server Server. They would be perfect for debugging this kind on problem. Enjoy, John.
  5. NliteForAcerAspire, I would not think that a Registry cleaner would or even could remove nLite tweaks. Most cleaners I have experience with have an 'undo' function. Use that to see if everything returns to like it was. Unless you disabled Prefetch, it will slow boot times as you use more and more programs and Windows loads pieces at startup. Please let us know, John.
  6. Weird, gotboost007, thanks much for reporting. Enjoy, John.
  7. TranceEnergy, I think CBS is Component-Based Servicing. It is the way Vista installs updates and I guess includes slipstreaming. If XP have it, I suppose we could slip IE8. Enjoy, John.
  8. Kurt_Aust, thanks for the latest updates. I do have a problem with KB967715 (your 740). Under my VMware install, WUD shows it needs to be installed although I installed it via nLite. BTW, how do you determine what hot fixes need to be removed - always wondered? Thanks again, John.
  9. g-force, there were several files in the .zip. Here is the Last Session. Have fun, John.
  10. vishwasmishra, please attach (not paste) your Last Session.ini. Make sure to always start with a fresh copy of your CD files/folders, do all your work in one nLite session and integrate only one SP. Enjoy, John.
  11. BrettS, I would also suggest you turn off hibernate (allocates disk space equal to memory size) and I think there is an option to direct delete (bypass Recycle bin). With this you can eliminate the bin altogether. Have fun, John.
  12. Sp0iLedBrAt, I'm not sure what you mean by you don't want to activate the Administrator account. I think it is always activated. I specify an Administrator PW and also an account for me with administrator privileges. I set this account to autologon. I get no stops and when the installation is complete, my personal account is logged on. I suggest you try the same. The time zone problem I don't have an idea yet. I see in your Last Session the control "CustomLocales" in your unattended section. I am not familiar with this. Please post a screen shot of your Regional tab of the unattended page. Please make sure to always start with a fresh copy of your CD files/folders, do all your work in one nLite session and integrate only one SP. Enjoy, John.
  13. wildice, if you are doing a lot of testing and possibly crashing your system, I suggest you look into a virtual system, such as VirtualPC, VirtualBox, VMware Server - all free. It is the BEST way to test nLite ISOs, except for drivers. It takes me less than 15 minutes to install XP x64 on my VMware Server. Have fun, John.
  14. gotboost007, I have not seen this error before. Your Last Session looks fine, really quite simple. The only thing I can think of is a bad DL/install of .NET Framework or nLite. Did you check the MD5 for nLite or run other applications that use .NET? I would first try removing nLite, DLing a new copy (check the MD5!), install it and try again. Good luck and please let us know the outcome. Enjoy, John.
  15. g-force, it is OK if it is for personal and not business use. I suggest wildice look at the license agreement in the nLite folder in the Program Files folder or on the nLite web site. Enjoy, John.
  16. wildice, the only caution I would add is with respect to text mode drivers. Only the last text mode driver installed via nLite for a particular device type will be used. So, if your various computers have different controllers for your SATA/RAID/SAS attached install drives you will have a problem. Good luck, John.

    No audio help!

Anderwin and g-force, unless it was explicitly deleted, it should be in the nLite\Presets folder by date code. Enjoy, John.
  18. shkelqimm, I know nothing about WIHU (never heard of it), but WPI has a forum a couple below the nLite forum. Please see it. If you DL WPI you can look through the manual. You don't slipstream applications with WPI, you install them after the first boot after install. If you really want to slipstream applications, see the forum on AddOns above. Enjoy, John.
  19. Angelico_Payne, I'm with you - can't get any traction. Please attach the Last Session.ini for your try under XP on VMware. I don't know how nLite detects that the hot fix is IE7, but perhaps it uses the name, so be sure your name is the same as the original. Did you check the MD5 on nLite after DL? Good luck, John.
  20. The link you provided to to the drivers contained a link to this page. It explains some and has a link to a Read Me with more. Please take a look. I suspect few here have much experience with server boards, so I am not sure where to go from here. Again, I suggest you run the experiment with the correct SATA/SAS/RAID driver for the HDD you are installing on and let us know what happens. Enjoy, John.
  21. Quicken2k, you can use Prompt repair under Unattended Mode. Also see the help (? in circle) next to the option. All are under Unattended, General tab. Enjoy, John.
  22. SpeedEuphoria, I see no problems with what you are proposing. If you have specific questions, please attach (not paste) your Last Session.ini. Make sure to always start with a fresh copy of your CD files/folders, do all your work in one nLite session and integrate only one SP. Enjoy, John.
  23. scott14, thanks for reporting. We are glad you running. I had forgotten about Ponch's Automatic Computer Type. I looked at your .ini and see no problems. I think I have seen before that some one was wondering about some languages staying. It seems like it was because your CD is English USA (ENU), certain western languages are kept. If you are interested in pursuing, do a search on these forums. Enjoy, John.
  24. banshee28, there was a thread about a removed language. He was able to restore it using a file from the German nLite site. Try sending a PM to g-force, the site manager. Good luck, John.
  25. VulturEMaN, try installing the CD unaltered and see if everything is there. Please let us know, John.
