  1. Can anybody assist in doing the above for .rpt which is for Crystal Reports? or, give an easy to understand how to explanation of how your doing what your doing so i can have a go myself. Cheers.
  2. http://lastbit.com/regsnap/default.asp Lots of people on this forum us it. It literally only takes a snap of your registry and shows which keys are modified or created, so you can manually get them or use the prog to generate for you. Very easy to use and free if you use while in the try period. Not used windiff, but sound like it does the job but takes note of to much stuff to me.
  3. i'd agree with himwotisme, it shouldn't be to bad to do. If you visit, http://unattended.msfn.org, read and follow you'll get the gist of what Elonex have done and then you can modify to make your own from this basis s most work has been done
  4. two things, 1; i'm guessing you looked in the regtweak sticky and parts 1, 2 & 3 and they weren't listed 2; use regsnap, install, run, make change, re-run and use differences to create your keys as required.
  5. I use the SE K700i and K750i and it's does all your after. K750i - Sony Memory Stick DU Pro - free64Mb when purchased can use 256Mb cards. - IR and Bluetooth. - 2megaPixel camera, best on market at present. - Can sync direct with MS Outlook, s/w included. If it made beer it would probably be the best phone in the world, but it doesn't but still is
  6. I had some bizare problems after the upgrade (couldn't run any program without using the second login, which was same as user logged in), turning of the smartdefense resolved that. Also turned off that spyware thing as is useless compared to dedicated products. A clean install will solve your problems better as well. Wish they would leave it alone to do its primary task, firewall and not add gimmicks.
  7. "C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\Common\unyt.exe" /s will silently un-install the yahoo toolbar, in case the above method doesn't work, though no reason why not
  8. "C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\Common\unyt.exe" /s will silently un-install the yahoo toolbar
  9. "NOT-SO-SAFE" to DISABLE - means exactly that. If you do disable them, you may stop your pc from booting or being stable, (so it crashes more often, etc etc) The third column is the safe list. If your really unsure, i would set your services to the SAFE column, as this has probably been teted and found to be reliable, OR leave them as is, so you know you system won't crash.
  10. Before you do install Go into win98 and look at device manager. Do you see something called SCSI anywherer in that list? If yes you need those drivers on a floppy disk. Then using your cd-rom to boot from and press F6 at the required stage and apply your scsi drivers from that floppy, then you will be able to install correctly If you don't see scsi listed, i'd go with it's not broken but it isn't either scsi or ide but some propiertory device, lik ethey used to be when run of the soundcard.
  11. you need a cd-switching utility and a user by the name of Nanaki has one. It is stick'd on the unattended forum, have a look, it is simple to implement and does what your after.
  12. will offer you the installers for both IE and NON-IE browsers, BEWARE though that the shockwave one will install Yahoo! Toolbar when done silently using the /s switch. http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/alternates/
  13. How and What do i do with thos files once i have them to make shockwave actually work? guessing i regsrv32 the .dll, but what about the other?
  14. It is a different .exe for between Firefox/Netscape and IE lovers. See the below URL http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/alternates/ which will contain all you need. The switches for both are /s, they are wise installers. However, BEWARE, the shockwave silent install will also install that Yahoo! Toolbar thing. I don't want this and haven't sussed how to not install it so any thoughts/pointers/tips are appreciated.
  15. make sure your winnt.sif has driverpolicy=ignore command in it, otherwise you will be asked to sign. When finished reset it back to warn or whatever. Found in control panel | system | hardware | driver signing
  16. WPI doesn't run at T-12, it runs after XP has been installed so you can select the apps to install. I have seen someone say they installed Office at t-12 and a couple of other apps, but you'll find most people just use it to apply regtweaks and for account creation. T-12, refers to the timeline period at which the install performs a function
  17. click start click run type winver click ok read the line starting Version 5.1 (Build2600...........) and there you go
  18. @andreasfc yes you can just rem that line out of your wpi.cmd file and it will just get ignored.
  19. look at this Microsoft Article; How to Customize the Windows Explorer Views in Windows XP
  20. think it was on news frontpage here at msfn, and reading the article it was in his contract that he can't work for a competitor within 12months of leaving M$, so in effect he's breaking the contract he signed when started, which becomes nullified when he leaves as contract has expired. strange world...
  21. The homepage is also very good and easy to follow. Most questions (99%) have already been asked and answered and are heare to be searched in this forum area
  22. i use this code that works, cmd2[pn]=['%windir%\system32\xcopy /E /V /Q "<from path>" "<to path>"'] Also, you'll need to use " if path has spaces in it. With ref to xcopy; /E - Copies directories and subdirectories, including empty ones. Same as /S /E. May be used to modify /T. /V - Verifies each new file. /Q - Does not display file names while copying. if you want to use other switches, open a command prompt and type xcopy /? Hope it helps
  23. I don't even notice the buttons on the left, just click on them to install etc, so those effects can be minimal. Same as you blinkdt, no need for the audio player and yes bug fixes are more important as most people will play with the theme to suit personal tastes and so would hate for kel to spend so much effort and time when 90% of people won't use it.
  24. there was great cd-switching tool released by nanaki http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showto...hl=cd-switching but think it will do the trick if you use it as last in order. It will eject your current cd, ask you to insert cd 2, and will autorun this 2nd cd when inserted and continue with the install of apps, as long as you've set this to autrun as noted in the many topics within the wpi area
