did you use exactly the same settings -not including the services?

if you run any old applications (in task manager you'll notice a process called ntvdm running) then keep it, if not, lose it! the only thing i have that uses 16bit is ntport95.exe (its for my parallel lcd to install the driver), and only the setup uses it of course xp will still run, you can select all options and xp will still run

personally i never use msconfig anyway, and usually delete it from the pc, but i removed less than normal in this one because its my mum's pc and had to make it in a hurry! autoruns is 10x better, it shows loads more entries

i'll look through now to see if i can see anything that stands out i use RVM updatepack, and dx pack too, so its not them -edit, i removed all you did and more i didn't mess with my services tho.. try setting the ones you changed back to normal, and restarting pc..

i agree, this should never be a part of nlite.. its too easy to leave a usb drive in or a 2nd hard drive and get that formatted by accident

its a cab use "jcarle's compression bin" search for it -put modifype.exe in your live system32 -otherwise compression bin won't work properly i'd leave it as classic though, its only setup!
