  2. forgot to add sata drivers to my nlite cd, then when i was installing it on my live system, i had my backup usb drive plugged in, was on the phone to my girlfriend when the partitioning screen came up, i just saw one drive there and thought 'there's my os drive', remove paritions then i created the new partition and realised the size was not the size of my main drive! luckily, i stopped there and made no other changes to the drive, then i used testdisk partition recovery tool to rewrite the parition tables, took about 5 seconds to fix and get all the info 100% back as it was, then i gave a big donation to the maker!!

  4. out of interest, did you remove modems and infrared? (my mate has been borrwing my btooth adapter for ages, so not used it with the last few builds!)

    i get that too, the top right edge of the tab is overlapping the 'nothing' area

  9. can you see the drive in explorer? badcopypro file scavenger 3 both of these work well

  12. yeah was doing that, maybe i forgot to do something in SOF, i've used it loads before, just haven't done it for a while i probably forgot to 'copy my files' before packing
  13. Kel should runonceex work on a current install? the registry entires are added, but nothing runs after a restart and the entries remain in the registry this is an nlite install, i've not used my runonceex for a few weeks now, as they were out of date
  14. the extentions part doesn't work in firefox 2.0 (you can't add them using SOF anymore)

  16. i was under the impression that x64 already had 1.1 installed? and just needs 2.0 installing?

  19. helping a mate make one, i got him to restart pc after running runonce, and nothing comes up after restart.. (does the same for me too) never tried it at not first boot, lol
  20. if your rant was aimed at me directly, i was simply suggeting you'd be a good person (well better than me due to my lack of experience in the topic) to write a 'booting from usb to install xp' guide
