I have two benchmarks here. The first one is my ram running at 1200mhz clocked at 6-6-6-18. The one on the right is my ram at 844mhz clocked at 4-4-4-15. They are benching nearly identical. Which is the better to have, lower clocks or higher MHZ?

7100 connects just fine here.

I've been using every build that I can get my hands on for my main OS, lol. 7000, 7057, 7068, 7077 and now 7100. I am completely satisfied with Windows 7 as my main OS. I had been running XP SP3 for a month or two after downgrading from Vista SP1 (this pc is old). 7 is by far and wide, the best OS you can have. Just be ready to reinstall a couple times with RC, RTM, etc, lol. MoZBackup is great if you use Firefox, Thunderbird, any Mozilla app I believe. Move all your linked folders to a 2nd hard disk. example: Music, Pictures, Favorites, Links, Downloads, etc. ALL of them that have the ability to move the location. This will allow you to install builds one after another, simply move the location once in 7 again, all your stuff is in the same place. You may have to give the 2nd drive a letter or change it after a new install, it varies. These two things alone make installing 7 so much easier. I'm sure there are more time savers and it would help if anyone else would like to post them.

Yep! I just got the ok on my new 64 bit hardware yesterday. Core 2 3.0 ghz with 4gb ram . woot woot woot cheap video card with 512mb gddr3 or something. I can't wait. Just finished the 64 bit dowload and have it on standby. I'm running a 3 Ghz now and going to a dual core 3 ghz, this is gonna be nice.

I love the new features of the start menu in 7.

Why on earth would you want to click 3-5 times when you can never use the mouse. Just hit the start button and start typing. No offense, to each his own. This is just better for me.

I have 2 different Windows 7 DVD's burned here. One was burned at Max(8x) for the media I have and the other was burned at default(4x). The 8x takes nearly 10 minutes longer(minimum, feels like 30) to clean install. I think scaling back to the next lowest speed or half the max is the best option with DVDs. I have always burned music cd's at max because I never use them in here. All data is burned at half the media speed these days. I burned the max 7 dvd just to see what happened. hope this helps

Got the first peek of it in 7057 the other day. Im running 7000 on here now though.

Its not slow on my pc. Old P4. but Im x86, if that helps any. I went back to 7000 also, if that might help.

I've had both over the last year. Both are 6Mbit and both were 768 upstream. They both have about the same speed up and down. The DSL is snappier loading pages.

Fully stable at 3.51 now and really seeing a chitty video card in this rig, lmao!

If only I had known back then, what I know now, I'd be several bux richer, lmao!

I am currently over clocked to 3.45 and was able to set the pci/agp bus to 33 while doing so. Re ran the assessment and it took my ram to 4.6 (4.5 before) as the only change. System does feel a tad snappier. I'll have to use it for a bit and check the temps. anything under 60 is ok, right? EDIT: running stable at 3.45, temps are 40-43 idle and 56-63 on a full load for 5 min, topped out after 2 min or so. I think its safe to run.
