I did a little google'n of the settings in my bios and tweaked the score a bit. I had my cpu score even higher, but my wireless pci card would not connect with it oc'd, lol. EDIT: ORIGINAL SCORE WAS 3.4

New month, new look:

DSL in my apartment. Its faster than bottled lightning on anything that connects to the wifi router from att.

It was one huge dl I got from the Symantec Store. I can't remember what it was named then, but I renamed it.

I was going thru some old backup DVD's this morning and stumbled across the backup of a blasted Trojan!!!!!!!! I'll post a pic of Avira's guard alerting me. This made me laugh so hard I cried when I saw it.

OK, for what its worth. I have installed 7 twice in the last week or so and here is are my results. First install, no 200mb partition. Second install, 200mb partition created. No telling what this is caused by.

I love it. Im with ya MageJubi and just can't wait, lol. Installed all my drivers, all my apps work, boots faster. This OS will prob be my last, unless they can make another one just like it or better, lol. I'll stick with this one thru hell and back. Windows 7 RTM, your destiny awaits. (my pc, ROFL)

Yeah, it bombed in sales to me. I actually like it, its just too **** heavy. Granted my hardware is old, but it runs 7 just fine. edit: what beavers build is a bad word. no comment

I was just trying to point out they had to nearly fubar one before they could get one right. Its not always true, nor did I state that, but you are correct also. Windows 7 will be great just like XP(IMO) and it had a stinker right behind it. XP was great and had a stinker right behind it, lol. On topic, I wish they would release it next month before I rebuild this thing. <<< as you can see, I am not knocking it before I tried it

I've got about 17GB of "data" on here to add to the size of it. Im using 29GB right now, so 12 is win7 installed with a handfull of apps. I would not install it on anything less than 40GB(any os for that matter).

Ever notice the worst failure(@ the time) is followed by the real WOW? ME was the worst(IMHO anyway), followed by WOW, XP who still lives. Now we have Vista's mass failure, followed by a beta that is getting WOW all around. Win 7 is the next XP.

It is disabled and I cannot enable it(7 gives me an error stating it cannot be enabled) Only in RAID though, when just SATA, have all options there available, even the disable the write behind thingie. Im happy with the performance of it, even the score is wrong due to something. I know its faster, it works faster and that is all that really matters. I just thought the higher scores were too high for me to be running 74GB raptors in raid vs what he had. I know they are prob faster being sata II but I know for a fact my access times are lower per disk than his(raptors are bout half of reg drives, or used to be).

I used Acronis to reload win7 on my RAID and it lowered my HD score from 5.8 on a single Raptor to 3.0 with a pair of them @ RAID 0, lol. Something ain't right with this scoring. Do they look right? EDIT. I know the disk performance is better in RAID. From the way the pc runs, to benching the RAID @ 2x the speed of the drives alone.

I can't delete some files, nor move/edit/rename/delete some items on the start menu unless I turn UAC off (or down, just turned off, then back on). Its completely ridiculous when I am an admin and have the pw and give it permission.

Obviously not, lol. Anyone who has run the 7000 build knows how good 7 is already.

I quit using those two when I had problems backing up my DVD's is the only reason I pointed out a diff app. All this was after upgrading to Vista mind you, lol. Im using Fab on win7 and its working great just like it did on Vista.

Use DVD Fab, no need for any of those apps you listed above any more.
