  1. And just to make it easier for people who can't bring themselves to re-downloading XPlode again, I've made PayPal payment links on the site.
  2. I actually recently discovered Notepad2... used to use either vsnet2003 or dreamweaver to do the editing... but I think I've found a new puppy to use
  3. It'd be the default site for new accounts on his new servers. And the fact that he has not renewed his domain name. Give him some time to put the original site up. Just, not too much time. *taps his fingers*
  4. BTS: Add me on MSN - I've set up a mirror for you if you like. (Delete once you've read - your PM inbox is full )
  5. I don't know whether to laugh or cry. I do know to lock the topic.
  6. Just thought I'd let you guys know why there hasn't been any real active development the past couple of weeks. I've got my undergraduate thesis due in the first week of november, and part of the whole thesis stuff is doing the presentations as to what you've done. Mine are this week as well as next week, so I've been doing a fair bit of prep for them. i.e. No time for XPlode. If you have any probs, requests, or bugs to report, please use the bugtracker at http://bugs.voidfx.com/ - I don't want to wade through multitudes of posts to work out what needs doing. Thanks.
  7. I'm guessing here, but it probably wants to muck around with the IE stuff, and you're probably using the SelectInstall display plugin. Switch display plugins.

    XPlode Wiki

I've paraphrased that PM, as I deleted it as soon as I saw it. I've had enough of that kind of bul*****. I've had a wiki set up at http://wiki.voidfx.com/ for a while, had meant to put in the stuff, but time-wise it just wasn't happening. You people are going to fill it in for me. I've had enough of people not reading the documentation, whether it's because it's too complex, convoluted, or just whether you're lazy. This SHOULD make it simple enough for everyone to write stuff in their own language. Once the wiki is getting a level around the same as the documentation, I'm going to be removing the PDF from the distribution completely. If you want to help, let me know, and I'll set up an account for you.
  9. What's wrong with programmer art? Besides, it's there as a placeholder for people to make their own - if it's crappy in the first place, people will customise it how they want it. Nothing stopping you from using it yourself...
  10. When the file can't be found, you get: D:\Profiles\Wraith>start /wait aslkjhf.exe The system cannot find the file aslkjhf.exe. NOT the error you're experiencing. To be quite honest, I've never seen the same problem you're experiencing.

    XPlode SDK

Alright, the poll is pretty self-explanatory. I've been contemplating releasing an SDK for the creation of plugins, so I just want to see what people's reactions would be. I should point out that it requires C++, and doesn't support any other languages. It *MIGHT* work with C - haven't tried, nor have I looked at any plugin source code in a fair while, so I don't know. I doubt VB or anything else would work. Just thought you'd like to know...
  12. Do you get any sort of output from XPlode if you run it with /console ?
  13. The condition="..." statement goes into each <execute> tag. So you can place it after the configs="..." attribute in each of them. Alternatively, you can place all your IBM-specific stuff into another XML, and have the condition="..." statement on the <include> tag instead.
  14. condition="'#BLAH#' != 'cheese'"

    Variable woes

Well, the XML parser works through the entities before the environment variables.... so if you have an entity called &blah; pointing to "#SOURCEDRIVE#\Install", then it will definitely be used before any other environment variables are passed.
  16. Nice work. Good to see people willing to share their work.

    Variable woes

I'll look into it in the near future - been extremely busy lately. In the meantime, you might want to look up XML entities, they should be able to solve your problem.
  18. Ummm. stuff. And it's not just my computer, it's the number of outbound concurrent connections for the whole network. No, that's just the schedule for my undergraduate thesis. "Just". Heh. Kill me now. Using Konfabulator, and a modified PIM Overview widget, so it sorts by due date rather than name, and adds colours for things that are due within a week, or overdue.
  19. DirectShow creates a screen overlay between Windows and your GFX card. The video display is rendered AFTER the screenshot is taken. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's the way I thought it worked. Haven't done much DirectShow programming myself though.
  20. So I guess it's time for the August ones, eh? I guess you can click for the fullsize one... not much has changed since last month... but I AM sparing you from seeing the other two screens... they have misc apps running, no desktop... so no point
  21. Nice to see someone taking the initiative and doing a bit of testing on their own.
  22. You can't "call" a child XML. You'd need to use an <include> tag, which loads whatever's in the XML at the start of XPlode's execution, or you chain multiple XPlode instances, so XPlode runs another copy of itself, but with another XML.
