  1. Warned by jorsak, so I reply ^^ I'm n00b in RD and their tweaks/possibilty from Microsoft. Why don't try VNC ? it's more easy to configure ... realvnc4 is fast ... (Personaly, I use VNC on 4 pcs, after I can forward port to work without any problems, but I prefer use SSH on port 22 and I create crypted tunnels between hosts and clients ...)
  2. okay for search, to find the solution we must find the good keyword too. For [Q] not problem, it's just maniac ^^
  3. I don't know what regkey used for this dialog (regkey = registry key), but you can monitor registry operations yourself with RegMon from great www.sysinternals.com I don't want to discourage you but the registry way it's hard, you must be very "maniac" to achieve your tip !
  4. Read this about Acronis product http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=66367 Also, you can use a great function too ! yes it's called "Search" ^^ First result of "restore partition" http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showto...store+partition
  5. This errors happens while using Internet Explorer, isn't it ?
  6. You can edit old registry with avast! Bart CD but it's not free ... Read this topic there a way to edit registry http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=67578 1) Delete reg key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class 2) Delete all C:\Windows\inf\oem*.* 3) Repair again windows That will force windows to full reinstall drivers. Please post your result.
  7. I don't know if it's possible ... Try to close "save as" dialog while pressing Ctrl. I works for Explorer. The second way is about capturing regkey used by the dialog and set NTFS permissions to Read only for all ...
  8. Be sure to don't write anything on D: now Run program like Ontrack Recovery (I have many success stories with it), il will recover data on other partition/disk.
  9. The "own way" it's just for NTFS permissions ... For encrypted folder you will can access to the data with only the same User session which it encrypt the folder, you can export certificates and reimport to the new system to decrypt data too. But if the old system is erased, sorry to say, but you have lost all data. I have heard there are some program to hack the crypto but I havn't see any success stories.
  10. It's the solution Windows XP can manage hard disk directly during the Setup !
  11. This options can configure when you share your first folder. You can choose Simple sharing or normal sharing (with Security tab enabled)
  12. Your CD is nLited ?
  13. Have you installed Windows from a nLited CD ?
  14. I don't believe Windows support gif directly in Explorer. Try ACDSee or freewares like XnView or others (there are many others !) ...
  15. I see one solution ... restore image on a computer (don't boot at all to keep system untouched) , boot from Avast! Bart CD which it's include "Avast Registry Editor" .. it will load your registry .. modify it and shutdown. After re-make ghost of the system.
  16. If you have uninstalled a program just by delete the folder in "Program Files" you can use RegSeeker and find and delete all references of the name of the program. and PLEASE describe exactly what's your problem ... if just slow down, it's not a registry problem but a spyware/virus ... try HiJackThis to clean your system ...
  17. Microsoft Visual J# is for developp program/applet in Java ... You can update the program to fix bugs or add new features but it's nothing to do in that forum !!! By the way, in first Windows XP and SP1 (except SP1a), Microsoft give their own Java API (to run applet/program) but now it's not supported and we must (and it's good) to use original Java from www.java.com.
  18. and setup.exe allow to display error if Microsoft Windows Installer Service isn't installed or corrupted.
  19. Try to download packages in their independant form. 1 - Display drivers 6.2 2 - CCC in your language Before install these, uninstall drivers by add/remove and reboot install and run Driver Cleaner PE and reboot and install the new drivers.
