I don't understand all what you say because I'm french ... but If you install windows on fresh disk you don't have the boot menu for 30s ... I have an idea about your situation ... start unattended setup from windows but disable the autoreboot, after bootcfg boot.ini and reboot the machine. I don't remember if it's possible to disable autoreboot from windows into unattended.txt.

I think you have DriverPacks splitstreamed, isn't it ?

It's a restore system from OEM (like Acer, with ALT+F10) ... An hidden partition is reactivated and boot with. On this partition there is an image backup of a sysprep system. Another topic created with information about creation but I don't know if there is a works method.

Try to not use KeyboardLayout. and set RegionalSettings sections. Mine (for french ...) [RegionalSettings] LanguageGroup=1 SystemLocale=0000040c UserLocale=0000040c InputLocale=040c:0000040c edit: You find all in refs.chm documentation. and on guide from msfn.org too.

Wrong. The double % allow to keep variable in registry with /t REG_EXPAND_SZ type. With one %, the value become hard coded. But in fact, it's not a problem if it's hard coded because after batch execution program files path doesn't change. I think the best solution it's batch file which pass hard coded path of program files to reg.exe.

Best unattended installs of Vista will be based on Ximage way ... it's new method which allow a sort-of-ghost cloning but hardware independant ... we must wait the final version or beta 2 to have more documentation ... the answer file will be present too IMHO. Perhaps other guys has already found unattended process for beta ...

LLXX is right. OEMs builder doesn't give any supports now, so the I386 folder from original xp support is copied to HDD to allow uninstall/install components of windows without any cd insertion. If you delete it, you can't add new windows components.

I don't know very good memdisk/diskemu ... and it seems I have the same problem with an emulated partition magic ... mine floppy's image is loaded by EasyBoot (from ezbsystems), and I have cancelled the project .... For Win98, I load a ghost of the first part of the setup and when I reboot the setup continue ...

You can make a batch executed at the end of the first roex and inside the batch The content of Cleanup.cmd is same as my previous post.

You must reburn the cd with winnt.sif answer file. and leave cdkey line to allow manual entry. For that look in my sig for the master unattended windows xp guide ! Perhaps you can add winnt.sif directly on floppy too .. but I don't know on what floppy and I don't if that works really, I havn't tested.

You can overwrite these, in fact these files are "markers" for setup ... they havn't any data in their content.

I begins setup just to decompress content to C:\ATI ... after you find two folder : DisplayDriver (or similrar I don't remember) edit: Driver is packaged with InstallShied, and doesn't have same switchs as Windows Installer.and other folder like ControlCenter or CCC Note .NET FrameWork must be installed to install ControlCenter ... Note2: "start /w" allow to begin install and wait for end.
