You will need to install a userscript manager. i.e., Greasemonkey, from Classic Add-ons Archive add-on. (There's a newer version, thanks @UCyborg) Go to Greasemonkey's menu (at the top right of the browser, the down arrow next to Greasemonkey's icon), and select New User Script, then put a name for the userscript (for example, name the userscript that @rereser provided as "Discourse forums breakage fix" or any other name you like), and in the Namespace, put anything you like, your name if you want. Click OK, then a new dialog will appear. Copy-paste the code from @VistaLover's reply to me, then save it. Hello @Monroe! Which extension do you mean? My fork Check My IP Address & Location 1.3? This extension works perfectly for me even when connected via VPN. This was also tested by @VistaLover. So, there must be something wrong in your settings. Please, check what's going in your system! Try also another VPN service!

I tested MPC-HC 2.1.2.18 more deeply. Under my hardware conditions, the jetaudio video decoder does not do anything better than the LAV filters. Generally, I like this player but the best of all for Windows XP is still the PotPlayer which is able to play subtitles and lists all available YouTube streams while playing a video so that the user can select their favourite one easily.

Generally, SMPlayer is working under Windows XP. But the provided MPlayer version which comes with the installation package does not work correctly when you fast-forward or rewind YouTube videos or jump to a specific point. You have to replace the MPlayer version and to adjust some settings to watch videos so that picture and sound are always synchronised. I have been using SMPlayer for some time but I tested this player only with YouTube streams. The good is the files youtube-dl.exe and yt-dlp.exe inside the installation folder can be updated by the great releases from @nicolaasjan.

uBlock Origin Legacy - A special mod by AstroSkipper As I already wrote in my article uBlock Origin 1.16.4.31b2-1.54.0 - Special mod by @AstroSkipper, uBlock Origin is presumably one of the most important extensions if not the most important one for users of Firefox and Chrome based browsers. Unfortunately, this extension is now only developed and maintained as a webextension. The extension uBlock Origin for our old Firefox-based browsers like Pale Moon, New Moon, Basilisk, Serpent and so on was only maintained and updated separately for a certain period of time. There have been no new updates since version 1.16.4.30, officially released by gorhill in 2021. I am maintaining here the last beta version 1.16.4.31b2 from April 2022, which unfortunately has not been further developed since then. This beta worked great in the past , and I therefore think the time has come to end its beta state. I made a couple of changes to this version and created the final release uBlock Origin 1.16.4.31. I have fixed issues, added filter lists, changed and added some compatibility strings, updated all filter lists and so on. Furthermore, I solved the annoyance with the timestamp of some filter lists. Now, the timestamps are shown correctly. If you only want to backup your custom filters, custom rules or trusted sites, go to the tabs "My filters", "My rules" or "Trusted sites" and export them respectively to a file! And if someone likes it even simpler,, here is the shortest way to update the installation of uBlock Origin Legacy properly: Backup all your settings using the "Back up to file" button on the page "Settings". Uninstall uBlock Origin Legacy and delete the ublock0.sqlite file in your profile subfolder extension-data. Restart the browser and install the new version of uBlock Origin Legacy. Restore all settings from your backup file. Furthermore, I found an alternative way to update uBlock Origin Legacy when the user still decides to install over an existing installation: Backup all your settings using the "Back up to file" button on the page "Settings". Install the new version of uBlock Origin Legacy over the existing one. Reset your installation using the "Reset to default settings" button on the page "Settings". Restore all settings from your backup file. This alternative method can only be used for updates with the same extension ID, i.e. from version 1.16.4.32 and higher or from version 1.16.4.31 and lower. The reason for this is the change of the extension ID in version 1.16.4.32 I have performed. From version 1.16.4.34 and higher and only in this version range, installing over an already existing installation is possible again. See further above! But one thing is clear. A clean install is the best method that causes the fewest problems. In any case, we have from now on another uBlock Origin extension for our beloved legacy browsers with the most recent filter lists. The buttons for downloading various video formats are displayed correctly in the latest version of Serpent 52: In the most recent version of New Moon 28, it is working, too. Do note that any code that runs continuously without pause on the CPU core will make the utilization on it show as 100%. The question is if the algorithm can be improved to complete sooner. The problem with single-core CPUs (which AstroSkipper uses as far as I'm aware) is that you effectively can't properly multitask on them, you can't give it work and do something else in the meantime. If you do, it will be interrupted for a short while to try to do your thing then get back to the other thing, but your thing will suffer immensely. Maybe less if you do something in the other program and give it a higher priority.

WhoTracks.me does not appear that heavy by itself, but the script putting links in the bubble takes a long time, 20 to 30 seconds for Google Tag Manager here, depending on the browser. The script is not large, but its logic takes time. You know, I can't help but wonder, if I buy a computer for 4000€, how much would it reduce the time it takes.

For better or worse, the magnifying glass and funnel have become de facto standard icons for "Search" and "Filter/Select," respectively, both on Web sites and standalone software. I always found the magnifying glass a bit puzzling. When I search for something, I certainly don't use a magnifying glass! I think this came from an old Windows animation that showed a magnifying glass being moved around when Windows was searching for a file, but that animation never made much sense to me either. Methinks a magnifying glass would be a better icon for "Details" or "Enlarge" than for "Search." To me, a flashlight/torch would've made more sense as a "Search" icon. (There's even a different old Windows search animation that shows a flashlight being moved back and forth.) But, I understand it's hard to come up with a good icon. The funnel makes more sense to me than the magnifying glass, although to be nitpicky, a filter is placed in a funnel - it's not the funnel itself! Still, I can at least understand the connection. My biggest problem with the funnel icon was that it wasn't immediately obvious what the icon is! It looked to me more like an upper-case Y! It took me some time to realize that it was intended to be a funnel.

It sounds to me like the CSS was written to work even if aspect-ratio: 1 isn't supported; yet the browser compatibility testing script (at least they did it with feature detection vs. UA sniffing) insists on such support anyway. Sounds to me like the CSS and JS developers weren't communicating with each other. At a minimum, the script should provide the "modern" Web site if that's the only feature the browser lacks, perhaps with a "We'll stop supporting this browser soon" banner (with a clickable X to remove it) if there are plans to "upgrade" the CSS to require that support in the future.

I bought a new car with the money made at work, though that purchase was mostly out of necessity to get by in day-to-day life. I doubt I'll replace the computer soon, I'm a bit tired of computers (using it at work), gaming doesn't feel the way it used to anymore and I love being lazy in free time more than ever. Please, to avoid issues with "upstream" developer(s), always refer to the browser as Serpent 52; as already verified by another member, I, too, have no problem at all "fullscreen-ing" video content from banbye in my St52 copy: As you can expect, I do not have an account with banbye, so can't check whether what you report is specific to logged-in users of that video portal ... In general, site/player preferences are being stored inside browser and/or HTML5 cookies; I'd start by fully wiping out ALL banbye set cookies, clear the browser cache and restart browser - often times, a user setting (e.g. inside a content blocker like uBO, uMatrix, etc.) will block a site from writing/modifying needed cookies and thus site functionality will be impaired... I'd suggest to you to try the banbye site (its new iteration) in a fresh St52 profile and draw conclusions from then on ...

Of course it's "less resources" for you simply because Windows XP doesn't support DirectX11, it never did, run DxDiag to see, hence less depth and the weird brightness, there's simply no acceleration when you choose DX11 on XP.

This version works great with relative seeking selected and precise unselected. Another version is MPlayer Redxii-SVN-r37802-4.9.3 (i686) which even works with absolute and/or precise seeking selected. Versions higher than 37802 do not work with absolute seeking. Hello @we3fan! Thanks for your suggestion! I know this tool and some others to minimize programmes to the systray. One of them is Min2Tray. If someone of you uses my package ProxHTTPSProxy's PopMenu TLS 1.3 3V3, then the tool Min2Tray v1.7.9 will already be configured and installed when setting up the proxy.
