  3. Solitary whales and dolphins could be becoming more common By James Ashworth Increasing numbers of whales and dolphins appear to be taking up solitary lives around the world. Scientists and conservationists are continuing to investigate why this is happening, with the exact reasons remaining unclear. Members of the public are being warned to keep their distance from lone whales and dolphins that take up residence along the coast. Known as solitary sociable cetaceans (SSCs), these animals inhabit localised areas and have limited interactions with their own species, instead turning their attentions to humans. Bottlenose dolphins are the most common SSCs, but other species including beluga whales have also been known to take up residence in areas of human activity. While these individuals may socialise with humans, they remain wild animals, and attempts to interact with them are dangerous to the cetaceans as well as ourselves. Liz Sandeman is the co-founder of the charity Marine Connection, and has monitored SSCs for over 25 years. She says, 'Watching wild whales and dolphins can be very exciting, but we have to keep our distance.' 'Not only do we risk broken bones - or worse - by getting close to them, but it can also lead to the animal itself losing its wariness around us. This puts it at a much greater risk of being injured or killed by vessels, and several individuals have been lost recently because of this.' Anyone encountering a wild SSC is advised to keep their distance, and attempt to limit any interactions with the animal as much as possible.... 6. Yahoo Mail is a funny case. If you throw half of the site in the bin, you can actually access the mail without any layout styling at all in your Windows 98 webbrowser (for example Netscape 9.0.0.6), looking perfectly naked (see the image in the attachments). A textbrowser would probably load the site too. Hosts file entries will kill connections to the listed sites (look at C:\Windows\hosts): 127.0.0.1 ads.yahoo.com 127.0.0.1 geo.yahoo.com 127.0.0.1 yahoo.ivwbox.de 127.0.0.1 csc.beap.bc.yahoo.com 127.0.0.1 beap-bc.yahoo.com 127.0.0.1 geo.yahoo.com 127.0.0.1 y.analytics.yahoo.com 127.0.0.1 ad.yieldmanager.com 127.0.0.1 ivwbox.de 127.0.0.1 yui.yahooapis.com 127.0.0.1 ir2.beap.gemini.yahoo.com 127.0.0.1 eu-central-1.onemobile.yahoo.com (I probably missed some servers, that need to be blocked.) I've some old trash account there, when phone verification didn't exist. It keeps asking for a phone number since 10 years or so, but that can be skipped and access was always possible without phone number. Actually, this Seamonkey-Retrozilla has a very good mail client onboard, that supports some newer ciphers. You can start it with "retrozilla.exe -mail" (use the command line or create a starter for this). Version 2.2 works for my Posteo account on an ancient Windows 98 machine. However with that password loop that you're getting, it seems that your settings (outgoing mail and incoming mail need to be configured seperately) are wrong. Although your provider could be an a** too and have shut the option for unencrypted, SSL3, TLS1.0, TLS1.1... hope you get at least TLS1.2! Play around with the ports too. Although setting it to what your mail providers says in the documentation, should do the job. However in some cases, there is more than one port possible.

  8. MOTTO: KINDNESS = THOUGHTFULNESS Man Creates Benches for People to Rest at Bus Stops: ‘Let’s Help Our Neighbors’ James Warren regularly takes the bus in Denver, Colorado, but after noticing something was missing at multiple stops, he took action. The problem was those stops did not have anywhere for people to sit and wait for the bus to arrive, the Washington Post reported Thursday. Earlier this year, Warren saw a woman waiting for a bus but because there was nowhere to rest she was sitting on the ground. “For people to have to sit in the dirt while they’re waiting for a bus is just undignified,” said the young man, who works with the Colorado Workforce Development Council. According to the council’s website, his role was to create a career navigation program for workforce centers while also administering grants to nonprofit organizations. To remedy the seating problem, he decided to make a bench with pieces of scrap wood. There were thousands of bus stops in Denver, but Warren still set his mind on the project. After building his first bench, he put together seven more. Warren places his mark on them by inscribing two special words into the wood. It was message he wanted everyone to hear. Photos showed one of the benches with the phrase, “Be Kind” on its seat. Another image showed the young man smiling while standing next to his handiwork: This is James Warren. He noticed that bus stops in his neighborhood didn't have any benches and people would often sit on the ground. So he went around, collected scrap wood, and started making free benches. He's already installed eight so far pic.twitter.com/iwetcuA6aI — Goodable (@Goodable) August 13, 2022 The project has proved to be a rewarding endeavor for Warren who said people are grateful for the special seating because it can be painful to stand and wait for long periods of time. Several women told him they used the benches every day, Warren commented, adding, “It fills me up. It’s air in my tires.” Warren said, “That’s the idea. Let’s just all help our neighbors.” HERE: https://resistthemainstream.org/man-creates-benches-for-people-to-rest-at-bus-stops-lets-help-our-neighbors/ - hmm, personally I don't take the bus but I walk; and moreover I never visited Denver...too bad

  9. @XPerceniol! Just an additional information! Please do not expect a prompt reply from @feodor2! He does not regularly visit our forum, only from time to time. I am saying this here so that you will not be disappointed if you do not receive a direct reply.

  11. My therapist tells me that ruminating over the past (even yesterday) is unhealthy. I don't hold a grudge, but I also don't forget, I learn from it and try to not repeat the same path that caused me to be in this situation. True, I didn't have control over much of it, but I contribute to it; I admit that. You don't have to say, and I wouldn't ask anything of somebody that would further cause hurt feelings or sorrow, but I am guilty of saying the wrong thing to people. Even trained doctors screw up (royally screw up - big time) and bartenders become therapist for some, but I've not been to a bar since the 1990s and never will even again. Total sobriety is the way to go. Ugh .. see .. I'm saying all the wrong things right now.

  15. Haven't see you guys around much, lately here and we miss you very much. Are you watching anything enjoyable these days. I try to avoid news most days. Little bits when I can handle it, but, otherwise, since I can't help, why torture myself. Try to find things about nature and animals. They are so beautiful and they will life our spirit. Wishing you guys (and others in this thread) well.
