  1. Yeah I bought Curtains. Definitely a worthy purchase. I just played around the titlebar texture I wanted to use in Photoshop to make a blurred transparency and that was it. It works great for me. Sadly, I dont think we'll ever see a real update to this project anymore and can only hope that folks get it going on something open source, as it should have been in the first place.

  2. JFYI There is a new version of grub4dos for UEFI, made by yaya, this is his third version: http://grub4dos.chenall.net/downloads/grub4dos-0.4.6a_for_UEFI-2020-11-26/ yaya's post on http://bbs.wuyou.net/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=422652 Please remember this is a work in progress so it is an experimental version. This new grub4dos for UEFI was developed by yaya, so in no way I'm involved on it's development, but I think this thread deserves to be on this section of the forum just because the relevance of the subject. I made that desition because unfortunately the author hasn't opened a topic on this forum. Hope this desition is fine with forum admins. On this topic we will talk about the experiences with this new version, as not all the usual commands work on this version. So far our fellow wimb was able to sucessfully UEFI boot Win10XPE_x64.ISO, from internal HD and also from a USB device, hope he will share his experiences with all of us. alacran

  3. Well that's true but this "patch" makes it work again: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/restore-windows-update-for-vista.82336/ I don't know if windows update will find every update it used to find let's say 3 years ago... I think a few of them got deleted after the windows update SHA-1 based endpoints got discontinued (I hope I'm wrong) in aug 2020 I still recommend using dism++ and what @greenhillmaniac provided here:

  4. Definitely DO NOT! SDI is far superior and it DOESN’T INSTALL INCOMPATIBLE DRIVERS! I’m speaking from experience.

  5. I do not believe that a full row highlight is possible to achieve. The other columns are td.m, td.s and td.t, and are not nested under the anchor you use as the key. What could be the reason why New Moon 28 doesn't release the memory and stop using CPU if I close all tabs? Usually happens after browsing heavy sites. Memory usage still around 700 MB and occasional CPU spikes with everything inside the browser closed.

  6. Thanks for pointing me towards Curtains, just downloaded it and had a quick play at creating a custom titlebar with transparency. Basically create an image 285x52 (got this from another theme) and the first 26 pixels of height is the Active titlebar image the second the inactive. Add as much transparency as you desire and then save as a PNG. After that it's just a case of loading it and selecting Tick the Replace default frames. I have no idea how it works underneath the surfcae but it does seem to provide a means to get a transparency effect and I guess you can choose the corner shap based on the image you import. I'd definitely prefer a new version of AeroGlass due to it's simplicity and the reduced lieklihood of incompatibilities but I always assumed it would simply stop one day either due to loss of interest to continue updating it or it becoming too cumbersome to maintain and it's had a pretty good run if this is it. I'll have a proper play with Curtains a bit later in the week and if it definitely does the job get it. After all it's only £8 at the moment which wont break the bank and will allow the minimal customisation I tend to use plus more.

  7. In order to make teamviewer work within LAN, the server and client should both in same version. So you should install 14.2.56676 on Win10 too, and disable auto-update (I tested on Win7). Google says: Remote Desktop client works with Windows XP Home edition, and there's method to make rdp server works too, though seems a bit complicated.
