Upstream (i.e. UXP/Pale Moon) are already aware: https://forum.palemoon.org/viewtopic.php?t=32222 https://repo.palemoon.org/MoonchildProductions/UXP/issues/2721 Here a workaround is kindly offered (requires an additional extension ) ...2 points

Forget the about:performance page! It has never been reporting memory usage correctly and reflecting the true values. Here is a comment from a developer: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1744869 And a quote from there: I can confirm this statement. It always has been a junk feature.2 points

@feodor2 In case it has escaped your attention, here is my question again:2 points

If it fails, don't give up, try NtCreateKey. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/drivers/ddi/wdm/nf-wdm-zwcreatekey2 points

Given the nature of the MyPal project -to build a browser that runs in XP while permitting access to "modern" websites- I think constant change/adaptation of whatever can be taken from different versions of FF, and a moving JS target, are unavoidable. It is unlikely I will be running internet applications on XP anymore, but I appreciated and still appreciate the efforts of feodor to maintain development. I did use some of your buttons, Astroskipper, so I also appreciate your work, but it seems to me inevitable that you will have to adapt them with each new version, as MyPal tries to catch up with a moving target that doesn't care about breaking things. Such is the game, and its beauty.1 point

I have updated the YouTube files in the last XP-compatible PotPlayer version some days ago, taken from the most recent PotPlayer release. It works like a charm. No problems with cookies or anything else here. BTW, this last XP-compatible, slightly older PotPlayer is still the best media player under Windows XP, IMHO.1 point

How do I replace the white field with the iconic Feldrau colour? On Windows 7 or 8 without the Stuff Pck 1. Thanks!1 point

A very good idea, but what to do with XP sound quality, which will still remain awful, cheaply sounding resampled 48Khz, very similar to mp3 128kb? No matter how many pro grade sound cards I tried, all was terrible until NT6.0, and then got downhill with the release of Windows 7, going further donm with 8 and 10. How's the sound in 11? My cards have no drivers for 11.1 point

Correct! I was not logged in at the time. The eBay link is in the format that you are offered as a simple guest. It actually only contains one real tracking component starting with _trksid, the other two are purely item related starting with itmprp (followed by a checksum) and itmmeta and are not normally filtered by tracking filters. The current URL tracking filter list inside uBO does not even clean _trksid, although it is included but not activated.1 point

I just quoted the original link which worked much better some weeks ago. FYI, I always use uBlock Origin Legacy for filtering web content in New Moon 28. And in Mypal 68, uBlock Origin. And a few user scripts.1 point

Thanks for your suggestion! I'll try it out later on my Windows XP computer. Since Stylus no longer works in Mypal 68, and Stylish is no longer installed in New Moon 28, I will try to inject the code into the eBay pages via the userContent.css file.1 point

I think Klemper's logic is very simple, and I tend to agree, no source for that particular dll would mean Supermium is indeed close source, it's simply won't even launch without it. It's not "hearsay", no source for that dll was ever published, I looked.1 point
