  1. Why don't you use GPU-Z to find out. Also, did you buy this new on ebay? Why? There is ton of original super-cheap used AGP videocards on used market. Like Radeon X800GTO\XL\XT or Geforce 6800\GT\Ultra. So why buy this? The original Radeon 9700 PRO have 256 bit memory by the way.

  2. I can't really say whether the problem also occurs in Pale Moon (32-bit or 64-bit ), as I don't use this browser. It was also just a guess. In any case, the Speed Dial 0.9.6.18 and Tab Utilities 2.1.2 extensions in the latest New Moon 28 32-bit release definitely break the session restore function on my Windows XP system. The Session Manager extension only generates some errors in the Browser Console but is still working so far. @UCyborg For reproducing this issue, it is simply enough to only use either Speed Dial or Tab Utilities. So, for example, disable Tab Utilities and Session Manager, start latest New Moon 28 (32-bit), close some tabs and restart the browser. Then you should actually notice that the already closed tabs are still there which means the internal session (re)store does not work anymore if Speed Dial is enabled. You should also see the error message "ReferenceError: nsIWebNavigation is not defined" in the Browser Console when closing tabs from the current browser session. The more tabs you close, the more error messages you will get. At least, that's what I observe in dirty or clean New Moon 28 (most recent version) profiles on my Windows XP 32-bit computer. And I'm pretty sure that I'm not the only one affected by this issue. Maybe, other members may also confirm this issue.

  3. I used it in the past. But frankly, 7-Zip is for the omni.ja files enough. There is no real need to keep the original compression as far as I could see. Especially when it comes to temporary fixes of the omni.ja file.

  4. Read your statement, and you will see it does not make sense! Intentionally or not. Anyway! I used 7-Zip but in a different way. I opened omni.ja with 7-Zip and copied all files in a subfolder which I named omni. Then I repacked all files with 7-Zip, too. Works great here. So it doesn't matter whether you use WinRAR or 7-Zip. The file cannot simply change location by itself P.S.: Don't forger I am not only a mathematician, but also a philologist! That means I am a friend of the word.

  5. You are looking for the wrong code as it is the already fixed one. And TBH, you can't find anything that is not there yet. You have to look for the still existing, faulty code: browser.webNavigation.stop(nsIWebNavigation.STOP_ALL); It is in the line 2652 of the file tabbrowser.xml in the folder chrome\browser\content\browser\ of Serpent's omni.ja file. Serpent 52 suffers from the same issue as New Moon 28 which will be fixed in the next release. But you can fix it yourself temporarily.

  9. I'd say UXP era never really took off, what you're referencing was golden Mozilla era. You could say the extensions dealing with web pages are severely lacking and I'd argue they're the most important ones considering the point of the web browser is to access web content.

  10. ytdl-patched is built automatically each day from an outdated master tree, so each build is the same size... E.g. release youtube-dl (Unix executable) from 2024.08.01 (on page 7) is 1923305 bytes, same size as their latest youtube-dl from 2024.10.07. The maintainer Lesmiscore seems gone. That's why I pointed you to this pull request there. When you want to build from source, use the master branch from https://github.com/ytdl-org/youtube-dl. (but it won't fix your issue yet)

  11. Good to have it confirmed that OE Classic does still work with Hotmail (and presumably Outlook) accounts on XP! I won't be using it because my entire e-mail history going back nearly 30 years is in my Eudora e-mail client, so I don't want to change unless I have to. Am I right in assuming that, like the original Outlook Express, OE Classic does store the mailboxes and messages locally in dbx and eml format?

  12. FYI, it's not really a trial version but a free version limited to two email accounts only with the lack of some features of the pro version.

  13. OE Classic has been registered in my Microsoft account as the email app OE Classic. So, I don't think they used a 'borrowed' token but their own one.

  15. <off topic>OE Classic will probably work since I think the login procedure is the same for Hotmail as O365, and it works for O365. I lost access to OE Classic when my old Win 7 work PC's hard drive crashed, and since I was unhappy with OE Classic for reasons I've given elsewhere, I never bothered to try to recover the license. Actually for testing purpose, I installed OE Classic and set up my Outlook account. All in all, it was quite simple if you know what to do exactly. However, New Moon 28 has problems with the Microsoft Login tab which was called up by OE Classic and unfortunately empty. So, I first had to log into my Outlook account via the web interface in New Moon 28. On the second attempt, my account was offered to connect to OE Classic. Here is a screenshot: Now, ir simply works. OE Classic can be used for the basic Outlook email service under Windows XP. Here is a screenshot from OE Classic's interface:

  16. I cleared my cache and updated to latest version to no result. Interestingly Serpent52 CAN login to xvideos.com account with no problem. Any ideas? Excuse me, but can somebody help me with my problem. On my post on previous page nobody answered.

  17. Ok, that would be a naughty problem. Latest New Moon can not login in to, gm, xvideos.com When i put login and password and press login button it always put me this notice: I cleared my cache and updated to latest version to no result. Interestingly Serpent52 CAN login to xvideos.com account with no problem. Any ideas?

  18. The issue happens in New Moon 28.10.7a1 (32-bit) with the build ID 20240922132822 (palemoon-28.10.7a1.win32-git-20240928-d849524bd-uxp-716b990183-xpmod.7z). Which browser version did you try?
    1 point
  19. Thanks for your confirmation! If this issue only happens in New Moon 28 and not in Pale Moon, then there actually must have been a change to the UXP browser code which is causing it. Especially as in older releases of New Moon 28, I didn't notice this issue.

  20. If anyone is wondering why I am bothering to post the issues with these extensions here, then the answer is very simple. I think the Speed Dial, Tab Utilities and also Session Manager extensions are important and worth keeping. I have been using them for years and would hate to see them go. This thread is dedicated to legacy extensions, and I hope that there is some way to make these particular extensions fully functional again. Be it that code changes are made to the UXP browsers or that the extensions are fixed.

  21. For me, and for most of us in my country, we always bought Fujitsu Siemens and Philips. And will be buying, but the popularity of the DVD format simply decreased, but then again, we shall then buy BD drives, also by Fujitsu Siemens and Philips.

  24. Thanks! Nothing good comes for free, eh? I assume this means logging and collecting, reporting. Did you try it? I'm looking for a decent VPN to bypass cloudfare, in crx format. I don't want them to log my IP.

  25. Facebook is heavily dependent on IP, and will load its features (or not) accordingly. We don't know which country you're from, if you're from Russia, Iran, or North Korea, some (or all!) servers will surely be blocked, so it won't show you everything, if all. Try VPN. For me it works fine, I can't show the screen, I don't have an account, but I see the start page just fine, That said, I don't live in any of those countries. So try VPN and report back.

  26. CF makes a series of fingerprints, and canvas isn't the main. They look at CH, WebGl, , System Fonts, Clientrects, IP, device CPU cores count, RAM amount, audio API fingerprint, even if you change the canvas, the rest will stay the same.

  36. hackfixing that extension is possible: in lib/ui.js, line 405: try { ({CustomizableUI}) = Cu.import("resource:///modules/CustomizableUI.jsm", null); } catch (e) { // No built-in CustomizableUI API, use our own implementation. ({CustomizableUI}) = require("customizableUI"); } change into: try { ({CustomizableUI} = Cu.import("resource:///modules/CustomizableUI.jsm", null)); } catch (e) { // No built-in CustomizableUI API, use our own implementation. ({CustomizableUI} = require("customizableUI")); } an article describing that parser change: http://whereswalden.com/2015/06/20/new-changes-to-make-spidermonkeys-and-firefoxs-parsing-of-destructuring-patterns-more-spec-compliant/

  37. I can confirm this, one of upstream commit causing this and it is still being found for reporting. EDIT: extension also tested in firefox 45esr and it gets same error and it is an intended change in firefox 41: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1146136 you may need to update the extension to newer version.
