I agree. I do not agree. You are a poster here in this thread like me, no more, no less. You can ask whatever you want but asking does not mean it is an order and everyone has to obey. If you don't want to reply to a post for whatever reason, it's your decision. You are free to do what you think. But same applies to me, too, of course. And once again, posting images for documenting purpose is no spamming, and it doesn't matter whether you like it or not. This thread is about the subject matter and not about sensitivities. Period. Now, back on topic, take any extension, remove the META-INF folder, and you've got an unsigned extension. Try to install it, and you will see what happens.3 points

@feodor2 My posts are always rich in words, precise explanations, documented by images if necessary, on topic and written in the best possible English. You are the developer of Mypal 68 and for that you deserve recognition, but in this thread, you are a poster like any other. So please, act like it! Here, we are not in your issues on GitHub, where you have a lot of spammers and insulters, unfortunately. That's the reason why I stopped reporting issues there a few weeks ago, BTW.3 points

What are you talking about? I ask you a simple question. And to be crystal clear, posting images for documenting facts is no spamming. You should know that regardless of your personal preferences. Everyone is different. Anyway! Based on the nature of your reply, I'll have to assume that your statement about removing the signature verification is indeed incorrect.3 points
-
@feodor2 Thanks for the new release! In the release notes of Mypal 68.13.7b, you wrote: Unfortunately, I cannot confirm your statement in bold. The signature verification is still active in version 68.13.7b, and certain, unverified extensions do not work properly after installation. Here are two screenshots showing the installation of an unsigned extension: So, are you really sure that signature checking stuff has been removed? In any case, I cannot confirm this statement. That's terrible news ! You both stay strong ! Try not to breathe the same air. Very important to not touch your face with your hands, wash them often. I hope she'll get better ! How do they know she has covidium ? Was it official ? Did she see a doctor ?2 points

Concerning Mediamarkt, that is also discussed at the official Pale moon forum: https://forum.palemoon.org/viewtopic.php?f=70&t=30114&p=241764.1 point

@a8s If you're going to use a hack like this, you should also read the notes. Here is a quotation taken from the creator's notes: And if you had carried out a new installation straight away from scratch, as I advised you to do in this post, you would have immediately realised that the error was in your configuration.1 point

Of course it will be blank, what else will Windows use to open executables? Jokes aside, thanks for the information. I did exactly as you said in the report in the 2023.10.26 build, but the download doesn't freeze to me, and it doesn't show 0 bytes in the temporary directory, either.1 point

No I actually prefer ESR versions. They stay with the same feature set, and userChrome.css changes to the UI are set. Otherwise, I'd have to make changes every three weeks. Plus I'm staying on Windows 8 for the meantime, not Windows 8.11 point

I've often wondered the same. It's not like I've ever walked into a bank to open a new account and told them, "I will not open an account here if you enable members to use XP."1 point

Mypal 68.13.5b does not recognise the system proxy settings under Windows XP which have been set in the proxy settings of IE 8 although the option Use system proxy settings under Network Settings is enabled. I tested this with ProxHTTPSProxy. Can anyone confirm this?1 point

I's start with trying to set the full RGB mode. Perhaps something had messed up this setting when you reinstalled the driver.1 point

Not all 109 versions work. The later "final releases" - don't. Tht last working one was 109.0. 53.97, if I'm not mistaken. Some kind fella created a list of the last versions in the last win 7 soft topic. Some manufacturers stopped even at 108 or so.1 point

I didn't get them too. I told myself they would have to force my home with special ops, and even then I'll not surrender.1 point

Dear legacyfan, please show where exactly you say I accused you of instagramifying ? I meant (maybe) you had brought up the discussion about GF by weirdly mentioning your PC along with the holiday of the lovers, so one could easily assume it was a present from your lover, I already wrote - I'm sorry several times.1 point

Your choice, but you don't have to announce it to either of us, otherwise it would be in the style of twitter, and you were allegedly not happy with it in the first place, lol. Also, if you go down that road, you'll be doomed to encounter this in the nearest future. https://msfn.org/board/topic/182193-the-msfn-café-a-penny-for-your-thoughts/?do=findComment&comment=12344001 point

Good morning to you too, jaclaz, always a pleasure to hear from you ! Sorry for the huge delay, I don't visit this topic often.1 point

These two functions basically serve the same purpose. But there's a difference regarding their proper usage. A browser doesn't need the "EX" one, I'm not sure why the chinese fella added it . The standard Chrome/Opera doesn't use it . See what I mean ? I recommend not using NtOpenKeyEx, even if it's available because it needs to be linked dynamically, not statically, and if it isn't, then either use NtCreateKey if possible, or use Wow6432Node otherwise.1 point
-
I'm myself not interested in this chinese browser , but for those who , you may replace NtOpenKeyEx with NtCreateKey. It's basically the same. I'm not sure why that chinese developer chose to use it, especially if the name somewhat suggests "XP" compatibility. They sure do have their own view on logic.1 point

Now also got the download section to work, short version of the settings pages also, VPN works. @win32,the full version of settings still crashes. Otherwise the browser is pretty much stable and usable, since the flags section is available. And it is very fast, even on the ancient system from 2009.1 point

I don't do plain chrome patching, not interested in it, sorry. I mostly patch Opera and similar. But I sent the instructions on what needs to be done to the creator of the ex-kernel for Vista @win32, and it will be implemented in the new kernel, so you all will be able to use the new Opera and Chrome. From what I see, no one's gonna do anything for windows 7.There's only talk, talk and talk.1 point

New build of post-deprecated Serpent/moebius for XP! * Notice: This repo will not be built on regular schedule, and changes are experimental as usual. ** Current moebius patch level should be on par with 52.9, but some security patches can not be applied/ported due to source milestone differences between versions. Starting with SDK 10.14 I believe, many functions have main thread checks, including setView: and update. So we now move the code in the updateGLContext method into doDrawRect which runs on the main thread. (7224a1790) - Issue #1905 - Part 3a - Resign python binary ad-hoc since install_name_tool invalidates code signature. The code signature is invalidated on Intel as well, but on ARM the binary fails to run with an invalid code signature error. (9f3376e56) - Issue #1905 - Part 3b - Remove iOS support from old-configure. iOS is not really a viable target and Apple Silicon Macs report the same core system. (a2f6708c4) - Issue #1905 - Part 3c - Remove iOS from the rest of the configure system. (02ceb3e1a) - Issue #1905 - Part 3d - Report GNU AS when the system "as" is LLVM-as. LLVM as is generally compatible with GNU, this should allow ICU to build on ARM Macs. (ccdf07735) - Issue #1905 - Part 3e - Fix NSPR build on ARM. The dynamic loader had been falling through to the ancient PowerPC code without __aarch64__ #ifdef (e73d4de0b) - Issue #1905 - Part 3f - Collection of fixes connecting ARM support to the Mac build. Also update ARM XPT code to add Mac/Apple support. (e55ae571d) - Issue #1905 - Part 3g - Final set of changes connecting ARM64 support for Mac. Back out some of the xptcstubs changes that are not viable for our codebase. (be240b340) - Issue #1905 - Part 3h - Fix breakages on other platforms. Mac Intel broke due to incorrect FFI target_dir for Intel. Linux and possibly other platforms use a secondary aclocal.m4 that still referenced ios.m4. (5bf1ed595) - Issue #1905 - Part 3i - Rename the ARM64 assembly files to .S. Necessary because they now need to be preprocessed. (06aa3c8c3) - Issue #1905 - Part 3j - Rename the ARM64 assembly files to .S. Missed the moz.build file in the last commit. (076a0eb27) - Issue #1905 - Part 3k - Separate the GNU and LLVM-as tests. While we should be able to test these together, I don't want to risk breakages on different *nixes. (163bce2e8) - Issue #1914 - Implement white-space: break-spaces (afbfbcb1e) - Issue #1909 - Ensure UpdateChecker and UpdateParser can handle empty manifest URLs. (41b9919e7) No official Pale-Moon changes picked since my last build. No official Basilisk changes picked since my last build. My changes picked since my last build: - editor: check selection->GetAnchorFocusRange() before using its functions (082405259) - imported changes from mozilla NSS: - Bug 1759794 - protect SFTKSlot needLogin with slotLock. r=rrelyea (1bbd8d8c) - Bug 1771497 - Uninitialized value in cert_VerifyCertChainOld. r=nss-reviewers,djackson (23be110c) - Bug 1771495 - unchecked return code in sec_DecodeSigAlg. r=nss-reviewers,djackson (d4fb4b83) - Bug 1771498 - Uninitialized value in cert_ComputeCertType. r=djackson (b28bc4cd) - Bug 1764392 - Add DigitCert Roots r=nss-reviewers,jschanck (0863d9ec) - Bug 1768970 - Add Certainly Roots. r=nss-reviewers,jschanck (6307e75b) - Bug 1770267 - Add E-Tugra Roots. r=nss-reviewers,jschanck (9555008f) - Bug 1759815 - Remove Hellenic Academic 2011 Root. r=nss-reviewers,jschanck (9c2cbf14) - Bug 1764206 - Bump nssckbi version number for June. r=nss-reviewers,jschanck (b3acf3d9) (43cfc69b2) * Notice: From now on, UXP rev will point to `custom` branch of my UXP repo instead of MCP UXP repo, while "official UXP changes" shows only `tracking` branch changes.1 point

I have no words ! But it was quite expectable, really . It all began a long time ago , when France started to let them in . Then numerous bombings "happened" , then thousands of churches "went on fire by themselves" , like Notre-Dame de Paris . And now it will have an African galleries or smth like that . Is that true ??? Geeez ! We still have an alien police force , but I don't think it will help much since the direction is almost the same here. Things aren't good here too , my friend just closed his shop . I lost my job because they hired an immigrant from Eastern Europe , who agreed to work for much less. But I beleive we are still somewhat holding on only because of our Royal Family . I don't think all of that you see in your country would've happened if France still had their Royal Family present. Vive la France !1 point

Yes , 64 bit . I thought perhaps you could install x64 . It's better than nothing after all. Actually , you need to slipstream it with Nlite and choose "TXT mode" driver only . It worked for me , and I don't like to complicate things .1 point
-
I'm sorry , I can't/shan't do it , I'm very overloaded with the real life lately . Besides , using win2000 for the internet these days isn't a good idea , just sayin'. Not because of the "viruses" , it's more like you won't be able to use decent browsers . 360EE maybe ... and that's it.1 point
-
So it's just like I said . Why do you need articles then ? Would be faster to try it yourself . Just replace the OS string and install . Create a backup , of course . I told ya it would work . It's not a video driver after all. BTW, there are Nvidia drivers for 2000 available , up to GTX 780 , modded of course .1 point

Yes , true . I wouldn't do it now . A NOTE . In the channel I provided , their Iguana has a broken nose . That may happen when they walk right throuh an object during the mating season , a wall , a window ! Just watch the videos , they will tell about that . Also , mine is bigger , theirs is only five - six years old or so and mine is 17.1 point

It would be better to use XP drivers released before sp1. Gives you a higher chance.1 point

Did you try inf-modding ? XP drivers should work on 2000 and vice versa .1 point

Yep , thought so , but honestly I think it has nothing to do with our pretty similar quad CPUs , I'll try to test with a Pentium for that exact socket , which I recently bought for 5 euros , lol. I will test with the same amount of RAM (DDR3 16GB).1 point
