  1. It is! The pictures below show my specs. I will do so. I have a laptop from 2013 that has UEFI boot (and secure boot too I believe), but shipped with Windows 7 (UEFI was disabled though) Interesting. This laptop does support both (how I got it working in the first place). You have a guide or know of one for how to modify the bootloader? Also, if it doesn't work with UEFI, why does Rufus select it automatically when I prepare it.

  3. webroot secure anywhere requires the SHA-2 updates, so yes i do have that. and startup repair replaced hal.dll with the Stock Windows Vista SP2 one. will that hinder the extended kernel at all?

  4. There are only two acceptable update levels, and two separate filesets for each; April 2017 (which is the standard for the update distribution), or March 2019 (which needs different variants of ntoskrnl and winload (exe/efi) that are not currently incorporated into the installer, though they will be with the next version); the latter is the SHA-2 update point. This was done to placate some applications that reportedly requested the presence of the SHA-2 update.

  5. That's a TALL order for XP. Vista would be relatively easier, however not easy, and maybe not even fun. For example, the GTX 1000 series has NO XP support, and Vista drivers exist, however their performance is crippled (I believe DirectX performance, specifically) as for the other hardware, I cannot speak for specifically, but generally, 4th gen was the last generation that played nicely with XP, and 3rd gen the last for vista (in most cases 4th has vista stability issues.) It seems that you have 9th gen.

  6. I am 70 years old. I am happy with my computer and windows 10 pro. My default browser is FF 87 portable. Others in the system are the newest iceveasel and mypal. The system works flawlessly and even the March update turned out to be kind. I don't use embedded MS software. I am using MWSnap from 2003 - in compliance mode. I use the 2007 student office in compliance mode. I am using mpc-hc. I added directx 9.29 redist installation in compatibility mode. I ran the pSX emulator and played Rayman, Badicot 3, Bandicot 4, Colin races. I am active on many computer forums and I am curious about the world. I was able to set up windows 10 - it's light and fast. I was able to set Firefox to 1 content processor. I am using 10 blocking add-ons. I have lightly on YT and Netflix. In 10 years I will surprise everyone on the msfn forum
