  1. Ah yet another pref, wasn't aware of that one yet :) But it gets yet more complicated: Acc. to goanna.js in omni.ja, the file with almost 2000 default prefs, there's also a Gecko-compat: For Goanna-browsers version PM26+28: 6. general.useragent.compatMode.gecko = true/false While Goanna-browsers version PM27 are completely different! 7. general.useragent.compatMode = 0/1/2 (INT) In K-Meleon7677-Goanna27 it produces: 0 = Goanna + K-Meleon 1 = Gecko + Goanna + KM 2 = Gecko + Goanna + Firefox + KM Results with K-Meleon74-Goanna26 (v20180718) on my system: FF-false / gecko-false: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.0; rv:2.2) Goanna/20140105 K-Meleon/2.2.0 FF-false / gecko-true: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.0; rv:2.2) Gecko/20100101 Goanna/20140105 K-Meleon/2.2.0 FF-true / gecko-true: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.0; rv:38.9) Gecko/20100101 Goanna/2.2 Firefox/38.9 K-Meleon/2.2.0 FF-true / gecko-false: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.0; rv:38.9) Goanna/2.2 Firefox/38.9 K-Meleon/2.2.0 (am slightly confused now about the 2.2.0 at the end, thought had gotten KM74 in older tests, on XP, does the system influence this?)

  2. You can get from here: http://rtfreesoft.blogspot.com/search/label/browser New build of post-deprecated basilisk/moebius for XP! * Notice: This repo will not be built on regular schedule, and changes are experimental as usual. ** Current moebius patch level should be on par with 52.8, but some security patches can not be applied/ported due to source milestone differences between versions. Test binary: Win32 http://o.rthost.cf/basilisk/basilisk55-win32-git-20180707-019ca9a53-xpmod.7z Win64 http://o.rthost.cf/basilisk/basilisk55-win64-git-20180707-019ca9a53-xpmod.7z Repo changes: - fully update tzdata to 2018e (ef763f92e) - branding: optimize PNG (d1df17ccb) - try to sync with UXP to solve crash in msctfime. 3. It doesn't work well with 1809. Symbols won't help, Aero Glass has to be updated again.

  4. @WinClient5270 That small patch to make Rufus work on Vista is still applicable to version 3.3. I updated the binaries. It says version 3.4 because it's compiled from the source code iteration with this commit and the author bumps the version right away after making changes after publishing the official binaries. So apart from some Italian localization typo fixes, it's identical to 3.3. I'll probably put it on my GitHub account at a later point in time as it's more suitable place for such things. Just have some other things on my mind ATM.

  5. Apparently they fixed broken ICopyHook::CopyCallback function in 1809. I take it that won't ever be backported to 1803 via a cumulative update, despite the fact we're talking about a broken Windows API function? They always break something basic, one build breaks Visual Studio extensions, other makes mouse cursor jump at places in programs utilizing ListView control when horizontal scrollbar is present and you click inside of the list etc. What's broken this time?

  7. There are a number of preferences that affect the user agent in the about:config page. general.useragent.compatMode.firefox is a Boolean preference, which tells PM/NM and Basilisk/Serpent to spoof Firefox. It defaults to "false" in PM/NM and "true" in Basilisk/Serpent. You could set that to "false," and these browsers would then identify themselves more accurately, but few Web sites recognize PM specifically, so this may just confuse them even more. general.useragent.compatMode.version is a string preference that defaults to 52.9 and tells PM/NM (and Basilisk/Serpent) which Firefox version to spoof. So the simplest answer to your question is to change this to the FF version you want NM to spoof, say, 60.2. general.useragent.override is a string preference you can create to send whatever string you assign as the user agent. Using this you can pretend to be an iPhone using Safari or any other platform/browser combo you want. You'd need to know the user agent string for the combo you wanted to be, of course. general.useragent.site_specific_overrides is a Boolean preference that defaults to "true." You could set this to false to temporarily turn this feature off to test/debug specific Web sites, but the default of "true" allows NM to recognize additional preferences of the form.... general.useragent.override.facebook.com = "<custom user agent string to be sent to facebook.com>" The idea behind those last two is that you don't have to send every Web site the same user agent; helpful if spoofing FF 60.2 (or whatever) causes some websites to send content NM doesn't handle properly.

  8. An interesting thought. The MacBook has the 32 bit Windows 10 version but has a x64-based processor. Just did the quit Insider task to keep the MacBook on 1809. I may be laughing quite a bit in the next few months. Which ever way the comedy flows. The Apple does some magic things with software.

  9. The Youtube's block is also artificially created... This is into html code :html5_disable_vp8_only_browsers=true Changing this value from true to false, currently, the video playback runs again. I've tested it now with Firefox 10 on Windows 2000 and this video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iGonRkSiwb0

  10. Direct Links for Windows 10 (OS Build 17134.285 + 17134.320) Symbols in .BLOB file format (rename to dwmcore.pdb). The exact names for the folders that need to be created are located in the center (copy + paste) of each corresponding OS Build. ==================================================================== Again, make sure to unblock every file you download (via File Properties) before using any of them. Or, alternatively, you can disable the security feature entirely if you wish. I use a frequently updated tool for Windows 10 called 'Winaero Tweaker' (available at www.winaero.com). It features a ton of VERY useful tweaks, and as far as I'm aware, it's freeware as well as free of bloatware. For what it's worth, I swear on my life that I am NOT affiliated with the development of this software, nor the hosting website, nor anything else other than the fact that I use it myself. So I'm not trying to plug my own work, or anything of that nature. ==================================================================== Back to the original topic at hand: Windows 10 (OS Build 17134.285) -- 7E2FFBA889DA4A0EEEC178DF672CE1B81 -- http://msdl.microsoft.com/download/symbols/dwmcore.pdb/7E2FFBA889DA4A0EEEC178DF672CE1B81/dwmcore.pdb Windows 10 (OS Build 17134.320) -- 599E1538C2CCF8ECE275EE95CC1EE9C31 -- http://msdl.microsoft.com/download/symbols/dwmcore.pdb/599E1538C2CCF8ECE275EE95CC1EE9C31/dwmcore.pdb
