  1. Yes Comodo AV is running on my mom's XP box, so I can 100% confirm this.

  2. Sorry all for the inactivity lately, I've been extremely busy with my job for the past 2 weeks so I haven't had time to be online much... However now that that's over, I should be online regularly from now on Well since I was last online, Firefox support for Windows Vista has finally come to an end as of September 5. Since this date, when viewing the "About" box, rather than simply saying "up to date", you're now given a message that you can't perform further updates on the system: As such, I have also removed all ONG tags from other Firefox 52-based browsers that had it (such as Tor Browser & SeaMonkey) as it's unlikely that these browsers will receive any further updates on Windows Vista. Firefox 52 ESR has also been removed from the download site for Firefox ESR, and Firefox 60 is the only listing now. It even works on Windows XP from my testing, so I'd say that Vista is officially supported along with it, it's just not clarified on their website. SUMMARY OF CHANGES TO THE LIST FOR SEPTEMBER 9, 2018: Fixed broken download link for AOL Shield Browser v1.0.0.35. Fixed broken download link for Comodo IceDragon 52.0.0.4. Changed download link for Firefox 52 ESR to Mozilla FTP download link since the browser has been removed from Mozilla's download page for Firefox ESR. Added NoScript 5.1.8.6 as last version for Firefox 52 ESR in "Final versions of Add-ons/Plugins for Firefox 52 ESR" section. Removed all information regarding Firefox 52 End of Life, as the browser is now EOL as of September 5, 2018 and will receive no further updates. This also means that any Firefox 52 derivatives will also more than likely receive no further updates.

  3. https://msfn.org/board/topic/177125-my-build-of-new-moon-temp-name-aka-pale-moon-for-xp/?do=findComment&comment=1153901 Related to your question, an MSFN user commented at the above (URL). To repeat (more of less), ROYTAM does use his EXPERT skills to update NM28XP and BK52XP Browsers with SECURITY UPDATES as seem appropriate to him. And BK55XP is also updated, but less often. Here, I use NM28XP and BK55XP Browsers as needed. The JAVASCRIPT engine in BK55 is BETTER (more accurate) than NM28 (obviously). So, run an ANTI-VIRUS software on FULL POWER FILE SCAN say every two weeks, seems like you should be okay. NOT really clear to me that ROYTAM needs to give more explanation of what (in general) he does it. On the other hand, I can see where someone might see it differently.

  5. There are (or there may be) a number of sometimes slight and undocumented, sometimes huge and documented, sometimes small or huge and mis-documented changes in each OS release to the underlying NTFS. NO such issues with FAT12/16/32 which were not changed, Officially (and in practice) the largest (and worst) change was between NT 4.0 and Windows 2000 because it was undocumented and "destructive", JFYI: But there were a few minor changes even later, between 2000 and XP there were a few major changes, and also between XP and Vista, though these latter if I recall correctly only revolve around softlinks and hardlinks and their usage in the OS, The NTFS (and CHKDSK) is however always "backwards compatible", in the sense that a newer NT will (should) always be able to read (and CHKDSK to fix) a previous OS NTFS, the point is whether the NTFS "fixed" by CHKDSK on a newer OS will be readable on a previous version. Of course the same OS in desktop and server version use the same NTFS and are fully interchangeable. jaclaz

  6. @roytam1Would I be correct in assuming that you're no longer updating Tycho builds?

  7. The way I understand it, and as has been mentioned in the past, will XP releases of your custom builds include security updates in the future now that Mozilla has ended 52.9.0 and are supposedly no longer coding them in their XP codebase? Can you also please add this information into the FAQ? Thanks

  8. I don't think they are admitting anything, they simply found a way to take the money the enterprises owed them for the Windows 10 licenses in another form , I would call it "simple pragmatism". jaclaz

  9. By releasing extended updates for 7 Microsoft is admitting Windows 10 is a failure in the enterprise. Enterprises don’t want to have to deal with telemetry, Candy Crush and forced reboots on mission critical machines. I hope Microsoft gets a clue or we will see Windows 7 usage into the late 2020s.
