  1. Huh? It's a local proxy; the "server" is your own PC! I presume you own it, or at least control it....

  2. @curiosil That isn't helpful at all. Vista > 7 in my experience to be honest, but let's not drift too far off-topic. Is there any chance you can provide an installer that can auto-update some day to the latest test build, that when initialising you can set as the default browser/etc.? I'd say don't make it at all a priority but for the less technically inclined it would be a godsend...

  3. That's right. A little history: I originally found ProxHTTPSProxy on a forum for the Proxomitron (a local proxy for filtering ads). There was a need to break https: internally on the user's PC so Proxomitron could do its ad-filtering thing on secure Web sites, and then to re-create https: security so it would all be transparent to the Web browser. I realized we could use it even if Proxomitron wasn't involved, in order to use newer https: protocols, ciphers, etc. with older browsers that have outdated security. Then Heinoganda took it over and has kept it up-to-date as OpenSSL (which it's based on) has evolved.

  4. I hope New Moon will not have auto-updating in any near future. First it was to change the name to something else and now auto-updating. I personally don't trust it will be 100% complete every time and then months down the road with weekly updates, it could be a mess. Only takes a few minutes to update but I have some of my own settings ... I remove all the search engines except for DuckDuckGo and I have a link for Google in Favorites. If you decide to go with auto-updating in the future ... also keep the plain type New Moon updates as you have now being released every week. I like to see what is going on and have some control.

  5. I agree that YOUR (ROYTAM) time is BETTER spent NOT getting involved with maintaining some AUTOUPDATER for say NM28XP. Let someone else do that. I would say that running your ANTI VIRUS software detection in an AUTOMATED manner (MALWAREBYTES for WinXP comes to mind, it has automated settings) say at least once a month, is MORE important than updating the NM28XP Browser. Say every two months, update the BROWSER manually. For a LOT of situations, that may be good enough for the BROWSER update activity. I think that it depends a LOT on what WEBSITES that you visit them. If you are mostly visiting known NEWS websites, doing some EMAILS, and maybe doing BANKING type activity, in my view, being certain that a VIRUS is not active is MORE important than updating the BROWSER. I realize that VIRUS prevention and updating the BROWSER go 'hand in hand' together somewhat. (Meant as humor) Plus, MANUALLY deleting the PALEMOON Folder and replacing it with the latest NEW NM28XP archive that I downloaded it makes me feel VERY GEEKY ... It helps to 'validate' me as a POWER USER

  6. HTTPSProxy works only 100% on the local machine. If HTTPSProxy is made available on another machine or server there is a problem with the least time difference.

  7. +1. I see no reason to abandon XP just because updates stop. I didn't abandon XP when they stopped the first time (and I didn't know about POSReady '09)!

  8. Well, I'm NOT a fan of auto-updating. If anyone want to make an auto-updater, please go ahead, you have freedom to do so. If you just want a notifier, you may just go to my freesoft blog and subscribe the Atom/RSS feed.

  9. I meant people that are smart enough to not upgrade past Vista yet don't want to have to download the files every week or so

New build of post-deprecated basilisk/moebius for XP! * Notice: This repo will not be built on regular schedule, and changes are experimental as usual. ** Current moebius patch level should be on par with 52.8, but some security patches can not be applied/ported due to source milestone differences between versions. 12. Both Firefox 52 ESR, New Moon, and Basilisk still use Draft version of TLS 1.3. The RFC version of TLS 1.3 have just landed to NSS, time to test it.

  14. The real alarm bell that should have gone off was not that OneDrive didn't support MS program files, but the reasons why it would exclude them. So it is obviously not doing just a file copy when it is copying files to the online folder, otherwise, it wouldn't matter if a file was a PST or not. I wouldn't be surprised if the file uploader is actually reading the contents of files before or during the file transfer.

  15. Everything??? 5 browers running, 1 is Apple. Ghostery extention running, not Apple. Acrobat Reader running, not Apple. Malwarebytes running, not Apple. Stuffit Expander running, not Apple. Garmin Express running, not Apple. Microsoft Office running, not Apple but made for Apple. And the beat goes on, not Crap, just Apple. And Windows 10 Pro is running on an Apple computer, not Apple but Apple still runs it.

  16. @dencorso... that's weird. I'm gonna try again and I'm gonna reboot my pc this time. Perhaps it didn't update the settings for whatever reason, or perhaps it was just the cache. Anyway, I contacted Microsoft and I have very good news: Screenshot: Full Chat:
