  2. On my XP x64, rebasing 360Chrome .dll's actually MADE MY FIRST LAUNCH TIME WORSE. So I actually NEVER rebase my .dll's!
  3. Right. Oh well, at least the presence of that flag I hope shows an intent by the developer to eventually produce an Un-Googled version of Thorium. Let's hope it becomes a reality soon for those who want it.
  4. Rebasing .dll's will NOT prevent that "first launch" startup delay. I have ALWAYS had this delay! ALWAYS. Even in 360Chrome on XP. Even in Ungoogled Chromium on Win10.
  5. It makes sense, Microsoft removed the system tray from the old taskbar in 24H2 essentially breaking it. I saw your post on Github complaining about that to the EP devs, you probably don't realize that the system tray works in SAB in 24H2 only because Tihiy completely rewrote it from scratch. Explorer Patcher doesn't reimplement anything, it just patches Explorer with it's modifications to things existing in Windows already. It's free software and rewriting the entire system tray is outside the scope of what it's intended to do. StartAllBack is a commercial product that patches explorer with its own proprietary code, that's the difference. It's meant to be a customization tool to bring a classic Windows 7 era UI to Windows 8-11. Start11 is 10 times the size of StartAllBack because it seems to hook more into explorer after it's already running and intercept function calls to do its thing, it runs a service and everything. That's why it's immune to Microsoft because it's not modifying Explorer in memory with a DLL, it's completely proprietary, it's also bug ridden and unstable. SAB consists of a few DLLs with Tihiy's special sauce, the config utility and an updater. It loads with Explorer, not after. Start11 is incredibly bloated, I've even restarted explorer with Start11 and seen it take a second to hook where the regular Windows 11 start menu will pop up and the taskbar will be stock and not their enhanced one. That will never happen with StartAllBack.
  6. From a complete shut down and start up the computer to load only Windows XP with very limited services and no "real-time" antivirus - Thorium takes 31 seconds to load, once that is over and I do something else, the browser loads just fine in a reasonable manor. Again, rebase the dlls; no?
  7. Today
  8. Yeah, Neowin called them out on it too, although I don't agree with their plugging Start11 - https://www.neowin.net/news/latest-explorerpatcher-update-removes-old-windows-10-taskbar-in-windows-11-24h2/ Jim
  9. My guess is the change discussed in this link and previous disucssion: https://msfn.org/board/topic/185966-my-browser-builds-part-5/?do=findComment&comment=1263997
  10. That's sad. I didn't see anything new in your files, except 'pcipatchB=$7900' of course. I found some information regarding the Conexant '506e' codec (will be cx20590 or cx20672). It seems the Output widgets are $10 or $11 (converting digital to analog audio) and Volume widgets are the same numbers. Maximum volume seems to be 0x4a. Between the PIN-complexes and the Output widgets there does not seem to be a Mixer, default connections are to Output widget $10. The standard headphone widget is probably $19 (with 0xC0: OUT HP), line-out $1A and speaker $1D (with 0x40: OUT; takes EAPD). But of course I can be mistaken/ wrong, or the connections inside your laptop are different wired. So, if there are no special problems like General Purpose Input Output pin's (GPIO), in case of headphones the codec should work just out of the box with HDA2.DLL. To be sure I have to ask you to check again WITHOUT HDAICOUT.HDA. Steps: change in HDACFG.INI SleepingWidget=$10 VolumeWidget=$10 OutputWidget=$10 and try first with default: pcipatchB=$0000 and then again if no sound at all: pcipatchB=$7900 As always listen carefully with headphones and report. New files are not needed.
  11. What issue do you refer to? Your statement is a bit unclear, at least for me.
  12. I tried it once again with the new HDAICOUT file, and I added the value to the pcpatchB in the HDACFG.ini file. Unfortunatly it still is silent I have attached the same files again, in case it gives new information this time. HDAICIN.TXT HDAcfg.ini HDALOG.TXT
  13. Official Ungoogled Chromium will still have that settings page but the sync, sign-in, and URL telemetry options are removed completely. Official Ungoogled still offers - 1) "Improve search suggestions" (this is technically only a "Google" thing if your default search engine is Google and you "want" the so-called search "suggestions") 2) profile name, color, and avatar 3) import bookmarks and settings
  14. Maybe due to the changes in clock js, Tz clock extension doesn't work anymore, reporting only standard time.
  15. @WS7_6608 https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/tool-convertnt5skus-convert-windows-nt-5-x-skus-v3-0-0-rc1.84416/
  16. I thought at the very least it would have removed the 'You and Google' page in the settings!
  17. Why didn't you say right away that you mean the Adguard filter lists inside uBlock Origin if I understood you correctly this time? Clear questions would be more effective in obtaining suitable answers. Anyway! I will test these filter lists and report. However, in single-process mode, uBlock Origin works great as far as I can say.
  18. Friday Brain Teaser. A sundial has the fewest moving parts of any timepiece. Which has the most? Answer: An hourglass—It has thousands of grains of sand. This is what happens to your brain when you do a puzzle.
  19. Than you - Awesome new game! Emu Berry
  20. Not a problem. You just start any new word from the last letter of the last one. In this case British inspired. That's all.
  21. @AstroSkipper Huh but I mention AdGuard inside uBlock.
