  2. @jumper @roytam1 I did the change from GetNumaHighestNodeNumber to FreeLibrary, still the same error. As I said above, it needs more updated wrappers like (2kdll, kernel2k, advapi2k, shell2k, shlwa2k, psa2k, rpc2k4, and msvc2k).
  3. No one suggested that change. An appropriate substitution would be FreeLibrary: it will see the parameter as invalid, set the last error, and return FALSE just as a GetNumaHighestNodeNumber stub would do. Please look up the two functions at learn.microsoft.com to see why.
  4. j7n seems already figured it out, as thought it´s nothing special to draw/show a "new version" would provide that´s why specific data is like stolen from your computer like the OS, x32-x64 mode, browser version then their server refuse connection - while the code would work - while the display also would show everything (the trick to then display a false error message or making a crash is a old trick to try to hide the real concerns) so it was exactly what we thought the thing with bot´s are that they are not limited to a version - special these are getting upgraded and with "Ki-like" improvements they are sometimes not to detect either way so you have forum moderators to keep the things clean of something like this and there are bot detectors already - if these fail, very likely a version check also fails so i dont think its a security concern rather the common establishment of new versions (where they then have rights to login into your computer) its not different from the pedophile or terrorist question it is not made for that - its a gate opener for them (such as company interests - that dont care about privacy concern for example, or want to sell your specific information (what is worth up to million of dollars) as i already wrote in a different topic - they not doing that for these things they are trying to find a spot like "now win10 can happen, now win11 can happen" -> read terms of use -> if it not standing there no problem next terms of use its like a cut they trying to create this progress was seen over many many years for now - so they overtaken many many spots (and placed company interests - not pedophiles, not terrorists, no security concerns) and as i wrote at some point if everybody would have a webcam at home 24/7 you might find 1 pedophile, a terrorist or maybe even a bot but thats not what they really want the relation is far to off that it could be that the logic is far more simple -> open me the gate and yaaaa there could be pedophile, terrorist or a bot somewhere, wait did you say domestic violence ? sure this certainly was the reason now we can do this its a fault to think always from 1 to many or from a few to many thats part of their "trick chest" who is interested what that website really is doing, j7n seems to have tested it out: https://www.whatismybrowser.com/detect/what-is-my-user-agent/ oh i forgot - thats things a company never should have the right to do so - if something is going on its a police or higher concern you guys litterally give company everything about you - just if the right "keywords" are used and the companys have lawers, influencers also people at the police and politics - so they are trying exactly this somewhat somehow and something about banking - its not the win7 winxp users that have these problem - known problems who have this are happening in win10 or maybe now win11 (you can google how many data or things in this relation are happening like every day) and the majority are not the elders OS´s to say my clear meaning again these are not questions for company´s, these things are police stuff like placing a hidden camera (but then you would you say company come in ?) company´s are not allowed to do so ... but they are coming - hidden - slowly - and step by step more having these things - and this problem we just talked about is something like this - over what a such thing they place these things "open me the gate"
  5. I was able to load forum.zdoom.org with User Agent Switcher in Supermium 132, but not in New Moon where it keeps cycling on "finished TLS handshake". The site is focused on an old video game. Having it require the latest software to work rubs me the wrong way, which is also consistent with their new versions require modern Windows. It is not essential for me to read this site. But I suspect how this may happen with more servers soon.
  6. @jumper@roytam1 Unfortunately, even with your suggested change with from GetNumaHighestNodeNumber with to SetLastError, on Windows 2000 without Extended Kernel for FF36.0 and higher, It would still say "Firefox had a problem and crashed. We'll try to restore your tabs and windows when it restarts. Unfortunately the crash reporter is unable to submit a crash report. Details: The application did not leave a crash dump file". I would think it need updated wrappers like (2kdll, kernel2k, advapi2k, shell2k, shlwa2k, and psapi2k) to go up to Firefox 52.9.0 ESR unofficially on Windows 2000 SP4 without Extended Kernel I also managed getting Firefox 52.9.0 ESR (and Serpent and Mypal68) to work unofficially on XP RTM by swapping the ntdll.dll with the one from XP SP1.
  7. Yesterday
  8. Wow, thanks for pointing me at Classic Window Switcher, this is exactly what I've been missing for the last year! It works fine for me, but I'm using the executable to load it (though I did patch the .exe to include uiAccess="true" in the manifest, and I added a signature, which makes it work even when an elevated process has focus).
  9. Bugfix Mypal68 74.1.4 "This version for to fix -private-window only The bug created empty "file" inside the browser directory and broke clearing things on -private-window mode. After update delete the redundant file And also new about config editor. Other bugs of the previous version are left not fixed." https://codeberg.org/Theodor2/Mypal68/releases
  10. I guess things like Cloudflare captchas are more a defence against bots than anything else. A forum operator, for instance, wouldn't want a bot potentially harvesting all their members' e-mail addresses, so it is fundamentally privacy concerns. Something which works in some browsers and blocks the site in others doesn't make sense, though, and we're not talking about ancient browsers here.
  11. I don't really look at it that way. If it were my BANK not working, then I would classify it as "security". I always ponder PRIVACY RIGHTS if a web site needs something that my browser isn't providing. None of these types of things ever make any sense to me! Web sites that use "cloudflare" captchas and cite "security" - I have never once ran across a BANK LOGIN that has to pass a cloudflare captcha !!!
  12. It looks like a normal forum site to me, I can't imagine why it would need any abnormal level of security.
  13. I've recently found a github repo that allows to enable classic windows switcher in the latest Win11 versions, but it seems it doesn't work well with SAB. Once I enable Windhawk mod from that repo and restart explorer, SAB taskbar stops working (while classic window switcher works normally), which is quite unfortunate. I wonder what's the reason behind it, and if it'd be somehow possible to fix; or maybe - to actually implement this as a feature in SAB to choose between the two windows switcher, that could be so cool to have! @Tihiy would it be technically possible to implement?
  14. Thanks ; that one works ...
  15. i think we will soon have answers, maybe its a version check - there would be the chrome version or the winhttp request that contains the os name (both can be changed) then a version changer will open the website up, if not we will see "what´s so very special" that this website wants to display but i think its nothing special a programm like that really would raise questions a great lack of compatibility - i also dont know whats worse a programm like that or a browser like that both would be a mental illness and great lack of programming skill
  16. from what i've read right now discord app works but microphone in voice calls doesnt, you'd be better off with discord in a browser
  17. Strange... Try this.
  18. roytam1 You can check the bug with video playback in Serpent? When you change the speed of video playback, both up and down, the CPU load increases 3-4 times. Do you know about it, can you fix it ? it works, but I specifically wrote . Because I know how inconvenient moon-tester-tool works. I didn't know about serpent-tester-tool though. But it's silly to use such crutches when you can remove the nonsense with checks.
  19. I only upgrade if Speedometer 2.1 reveals newer to be faster. My preference has been v136. v137 is within margin of error so I never bothered to upgrade to v137. v138 and v139 took major hits and DECREASED scores, so no interest in either. v140, v141, and v142 are indeed faster based on Speedometer scores (and others, it's just the easiest to get a score). My next (once I do upgrade) will be v141. Then keep it until it "needs" upgraded. I really really REALLY prefer to stick with ONE and not update every (feel like) three days! The web site being discussed here isn't going to be enough to get me to upgrade, but it is probably writing on the wall that my v136 will have to soon be replaced.
  20. Interesting! That is my official "first site" ever that v136 is apparently too old for.
  21. that website https://forum.zdoom.org/ might be some bull.... it dont open for me at all this machine is on a win7 + all upgrades version - having chrome and firefox and IE11 a website what dont open on many varieties useally is just bull.... there used to be such problems in the past only a certain browser, only a certain version, maybe only a certain os it raise questions what the website even wants to display - i guess its nothing special and chrome v138 should be by FAR enough to display well whatever its also getting off-topic - but something went wrong here - and its not just a browser problem
  22. Yet another case of site admins arbitrarily blocking less than current User Agent Strings... Yet the site loads when a SSUAO is used to impersonate latest FxESR-140 on Win10x64: general.useragent.override.zdoom.org;Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:140.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/140.0 Using an extension to impersonate latest Chrome DEV (v144) makes it open in Sm-126, too : Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/144.0.0.0 Safari/537.36 PS: Sm-126 by default reports itself as being Cr-132 ...
  23. I'm having issues with display changes in WinPE. (PhoenixPE) Screen resolution changes [[ChangeDisplaySettings()/ChangeDisplaySettingsEx()] + broadcast WM_DISPLAYCHANGE are no longer causing StartAllBack to update it's geometry/screen position. I've attempted the usual tricks such as listening to WM_DISPLAYCHANGE in my own app and Broadcast WM_SETTINGSCHANGE with lParam "Display" Broadcast WM_TASKBARCREATED Sending SHAppBarMessage(ABM_WINDOWPOSCHANGED, abd) to Shell_TrayWnd Sending various combinations of RedrawWindow, InvalidateRect/UpdateWindow to Shell_TrayWnd Using SetWindowPos to bump Shell_TrayWnd 1px and back to trigger a recalc All attempts other then manually recalculating the geometry and using SetWindowPos to move it myself have been unsuccessful in triggering StartAllBack to realign itself. Is there a different window or message I should send to inform it of the display change? Thanks, Homes32
  24. That web site does not work in Official Chrome v136 on Win10. And does not work in Supermium v126 in XP x86. Personally, I am *AFRAID* to even try to intentionally make it work when it doesn't work with "real" Chrome. Also, I spent the better part of an hour trying to figure out HOW to get "yt-dlp" to work (XP x86 VM with Supermium v126)! I will not be spending more time on "yt-dlp"! The "installation instructions" are far too complex (or I'm looking in the wrong spot!) for me to dig THAT DEEP into something that my lifestyle WILL NEVER USE beyond assisting somebody else that does use it. Sorry, I really have absolutely NO USE in downloading from YouTube. NONE. "Te each their own", of course.
