August 22, 200323 yr i havent tried VMWare, but from my experience with VirtualPC its very easy to use, and its fast(when you configure it right )
August 22, 200323 yr Er, I prefer VMWare. So I'll just go hide in a corner somewhere bubblegum, if you get the PC Plus magazine with cover DVD, they usually have a trial of one or the other, or both. Try 'em before you buy 'em, I always say
August 29, 200322 yr You can download trials for both pieces of software also. I always say Download and don't buy
August 29, 200322 yr I had a play with vmware, seems to be much slower (ran on 3.0GHz P4) than Virtual PC (which ran on a 1.2GHz AMD)
August 31, 200322 yr Author Hi... back at last.... :-)I went with Virtual PC in the end VMware looks nicer, but like you all say Virtual PC runs better.. and it's easier to use...Thanx..
December 11, 200322 yr Anyone else had a networking problem with virtualPC? I am talking a big one, it completely hosed my tcp/ip stacks. I had to go back to before the install. Just curious as to see if anyone else had this issue.
December 12, 200322 yr I use VPC, never vmware...it runs fine with any OS you throw to it. I dont see a need to change or try any other.
December 14, 200322 yr VMware has a heap more features than VPC but VPC is faster and has better Video Accel and i even managed to play a game in VPC with great framerate !
