I love UltraVNC. You can download the package that contains a "mirror" driver that enhances visual quality, a DSM encryption plugin, the Server and Viewer. Or you can download the Server and Viewer as stand-alone EXEs. The icons are like "third eyes" which is cool. The configurations are straight forward and easy. Literally takes less than 1 minute to setup once installed. It's a lot of fun to help someone out using that type of communication and it's a thrill to be able to control their PC, but not in a malicious sense... at least not for me. Cast your vote!

Remotely Anwhere. Veryy fast when using ACTIVE X, only needs to be installed on the host machine. The client's reach the machine thru IE6, or any other browser but in that case JAVA is neccesary. Which means it's somewhat slower because of java programin

That's only available for XP Pro, AFAIK. For general use remote connection, you'll need a third party app.

Same with UltraVNC. Although UltraVNC has the added benefit of being standalone, so you can port it with you on a USB key and run it from any computer.

And viewing from a webpage also uses Java... any browser with Java capabilities and you're golden.

My vote is for UltraVNC as well... always worked great for me.

Smoother video than vnc. VNC hates animation. The difference is even noticeable with mouse movement with vnc vs radmin.

UltraVNC or RAdmin. Both are great!

I should have made the thread "Best FREE Remote Connection Software". There are too many organizations out there who want a wheelbarrel of cash for these tiny applications that should be freeware. What a disappointment.

small client, does what its supposed to, easy to use, all the features it needs, and quick loading compared to other clients ive used (for example: remote desktop being, as usual for MS, full of stuff that isnt needed, and slow.)

UltraVNC supports encryption via a plugin. Remote Desktop is encrypted by default. I don't know about the others.
