What version of Windows XP do you use? Why do you use it? and do you think it's better than any of the other version of Windows? Post and vote! :thumbup

*oops I did know there was a poll center, I didn't see general stuff had other boards under it, sorry :blushing: *

Personally I have all but the tablet version that I use on different PC's around here. But I run Pro mostly.

*EDIT*

I use the Pro version because it's got most of what I need on it as well as being much more secure than Home. The MCE edition, I use to watch/record videos on, then I port them to the Pro to convert to WMV. Which I can then send to the Home computers for viewing.

Bill Gates, Free Market and the LA Times:

"There are people who don't like capitalism, and people who don't like

PCs. But there's no-one who likes the PC who doesn't like Microsoft"

*humm really... sure everyone beleives that... right...*

I for one sure dont...rofl

None of the above.

I use a Windows XP Professional Corporate because I $?/*&$("/$ hate activation.

Windows XP Profession Corporate counts as Professional, it's just the Volume version of Professional. And yes I use my legal copy of Corporate because I hate activation too. I'd like to get a MCE computer up and running though. I'm thinking about a Tablet PC, but I'm not sure I'd use it...

I use pro because, well, it is what I bought.. I use very liitlle of the "features" gained by having pro.. Speaking of those features, the CD burning in Windows XP's explorer based burning is so horrid, tried it maybe once after each "update" came out for it, then went back to using nero for even the simplist things that the explorer based burning addition should have been able to do.

I use xp pro sp2 @home and sp1 @work (all relevant issues may not be revealed  ). I use pro because thats what the corp. IT dept. has to offer

I have a licence for winxp home.

I chose home edition for myself, 'coz it is cheaper than pro, and doesn't really miss out on what I need to do at home. But there's a number of PCs that we support that run XP Pro Corp., so I figured its sufficient to use home edition at home.

I use the Windows XP Professional because I think the features of Windows XP Pro is better than Windows XP Home, MCE, Table PC.

Maybe I will use the Table PC because I need to talk with other people.

Pro because its the best... Has a lot more features than Home... ;)

same

I use Pro because it came with my computer, I can host a Remote Desktop Connection without any additional software, and I can use Microsoft Virtual PC.

  • 1 month later...

Windows XP PRO SP2 because find it more "stable" than home edition, but a it sucks more resources. still its worth it

  • 4 weeks later...
