Wasted an hour googling, seems the project is no more, though no official announcement, Anyways, it's time to move on from this old Chrome based on 118.

I no longer recommend this browser due to the age.

Thank you for the report, I'm almost certain - the version from 2025, be it May or earlier, won't run on Vista.

@Dave-H,sorry to be of bother, I can't seem to find how to edit the title.

I would've wanted to edit from:

"I moved to CentBrowser, I feel happy about it."

To

"I moved to CentBrowser, I don't feel happy about it anymore."

Or (for your choosing)

"I moved away from CentBrowser, times have changed, the engine became outdated."

Thank you, Dave.

Explanations, this pile of garbage quits working even on MSFN, and no updates seen on the horizon.

Just let the topic DIE and FADE into HISTORY.

Why bother to "resurrect" it and bring it back to the top of the "active threads" just to say you're moving on from Cent?

Seems to me, this thread was started because you wanted people to start using Cent, that didn't happen as no real Cent userbase exists here at MSFN, so now you resurrect the thread in some form of "you all need to listen to me, this was good, it's no longer good" ??? ??? ???

Nobody really "listened" by dogpiling and becoming a Cent user, so the audience for "I no longer use Cent" is ZERO of a subset that didn't really exist in the first place.

Just let the topic DIE in some form of "nobody cares".  Or something like that...  Carry on...  Never used Cent outside of a two-minute test when this topic was introduced.  Certainly not going to use it again just to see "why does D.Draker no longer use Cent".

The browser is actively supported with security patches, it didn't "die", no matter how you wish it to. It's just the problem of such rare engine updates, which is probably fine for users in China with their restricted and censored internet, but not for MSFN website with its super frequent updates.

It "seems" wrong. Last year, I had found a browser for Vista users, shared it here, which you aren't, so why posting? You are on Win10 as far as I can recollect, so, obviously it wasn't intended for you! And it was good for its time, not anymore. But probably the developer will read and listen. Losing D.Draker, losing the reading of his private e-mail, all of that would be a huge loss for him. So I hope he will read the post and finally update, and other Vista users will benefit, too. See how kind and caring D.Draker is?

If you edit the first post in the thread, you should be able to change the thread title there.

I do not wish for Cent to die!  I want more and more "browser choices" then we already have!  Cent is but one of those choices.

Cent has never been "for me" because of the HOSTED CHROME WEB STORE APP.  Very few Chrome forks "break" this APP and this is my biggest Wish List Item for ANY chrome/chromium fork.

I actually still maintain a Win7+ version of 360Chrome that to the best of my knowledge is the only English version!  I WILL NOT BE MAKING IT PUBLIC!  XP was a different story as far as 360Chrome that worked on XP.

I have NO INTEREST in making a public version of 360Chrome that works on Win7+.  It's the AstroSkipper Point-of-View - too much work on my side of things, he calls is alpha < 0.95 or something like that, he's cited it several times.

The same thing here, I don't mind having my own "newer than XP" version of 360Chrome as a "side-hobby", but "alpha < 0.95" as far as me making it public.

I think it is more something like that ... :buehehe: There was no alpha  but a correlation coefficient r of r > 0.95 to express the almost perfectly linear correlation between two statistical variables, the user interest and the (actually my) willingness for publishing. If you want to refer to what I have stated, then please in a correct way. :P To put it in simple, non-mathematical terms, the greater the user interest, the greater my mood to publish something.

I cannot dot all I's and cross all T's.  MSFN is not my full-time job.  I'm here as a HOBBY and to PASS TIME.  I earn an above-average salary and until MSFN starts paying me, then nope, I will never give it the same "attention to detail" that I give my SALARIED CAREER.

Nobody asked you to neglect your "career". BTW, no one has spoken of this, and it is not the issue here at all. But if you take the trouble to reproduce something I said, then it should correspond to what I said. And if you don't really understand it, you should either quote it verbatim as you have done now:

or simply not refer to it at all.

P.S.: I think bragging about your "above-average salary", whatever that means and whoever cares, is rather inappropriate and doesn't belong here.nimportequoi.gif

You are "entitled" to your Paradigm.  I am "entitled" to mine.

There is no FORUM RULE dictating how small or large a "quote" snippit should be.

It's not even a "net etiquette" rule of thumb.  Rather, what it "is" is you trying to MICROMANAGE my posts - nobody loves to be micromanaged, not even those that "do" the micromanaging.

WE ARE A VERY TINY COMMUNITY.  We can all "follow" the flow and I will not lose any sleep over my quote snippits agreeing with your World View.

In other words, "get a life"...  Or something like that...

I'm really sorry, but I'm not a fan of meaningless drivel. nimportequoi.gifYou should use your time more wisely!
