Hi,

I have the same Bsod, only when I close the Mypal68 browser.

Much less often than before, but happens on 4Gbyte x58 motherboard (with multiprocessor in Mypal68 enabled).

BSOD win32k.sys, bluescreen and compi reboots

Dietmar

@Dietmar

A temporary workaround is to set layers.omtp.enabled -> false in about:config settings.

Regards

Everything looks fine for me.  Try force-enabling D3D9 compositing.  You will lose WebGL2 but WebGL works.

I got both D3D9 and WebGL 2 running here (as slow as on roytam1's browsers) with enabling webgl.disable.angle and layers.prefer-d3d9.

ANGLE is useless on my end as even something as old as Lights by HelloEnjoy errors out. It works on old Firefox 6 through ANGLE though.

Testing on multiple operating systems made me believe Chromium still remains the only decent option for running WebGL content at high performance, as high as it can get inside a web browser at least, just not on a legacy system like Windows XP.

No crashes of the browser in other areas here, though I still have this shim in place for mypal.exe:

Haven't checked if it's still actually needed with the latest version, but in the past, it would definitely prevent crashes in certain cases, if I remember correctly, WebAssembly content was prone to crashing in particular. Only browser crashes, no BSODs ever here on my XP x64, both multi-process and OMTP enabled as well.

@grey_rat

XP SP3 with exFAT support, .NET Framework 3.5 and Microsoft Visual C++ redistribuables until 2015. Nothing more.

Regards

@seven4ever XP doesn't have SP3 in x64 architecture.

Uninstall KB4494528. It ruins Windows Installer completely, causing it to show no text. After uninstalling that update, install Windows Installer 4.5. Alternatively, I suggest reading this topic:

There's a solution:

Unfortunately, the "no text" problem still remains. That's why I suggested to instead uninstall KB4494528, and install Windows Installer 4.5, so both "no text" and "ruined Windows Installer" problems are solved that way.
